We report a general, simple, and inexpensive approach to pattern features of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on silicon and gold surfaces using porous anodic alumina films as templates. The SAM patterns, with feature sizes down to 30 nm and densities higher than 10(10)/cm(2), can be prepared over large areas (>5 cm(2)). The feature dimensions can be tuned by controlling the alumina template structure. These SAM patterns have been successfully used as resists for fabricating gold and silicon nanoparticle arrays on substrates by wet-chemical etching. In addition, we show that arrays of gold features can be patterned with 10-nm gaps between the dots.  相似文献

A fluorescein-labeled estradiol derivative was assessed for use in affinity capillary electrophoresis (ACE) in a competitive immunoassay format, in which the fluorescently labeled estradiol competed with unlabeled estradiol for a mouse anti-estradiol antibody. The preparation of the labeled estradiol produced a mixture of fluorescein-containing compounds that led to multiple peaks in the electropherogram and to which the antibody responded differently. Two of the components of the mixture, towards which the mouse antibody showed most affinity, were isolated using fraction collection via capillary electrophoresis (CE). The two fractions of the labeled estradiol products isolated by CE were characterized using mass spectrometric methods. The two active fluorescein-conjugated products differed in the carboxylate on the fluorescein moiety, one having a methyl group instead of the acidic hydrogen for the other. The estradiol antibody showed a stronger binding for the conjugate containing the methyl group, as determined from the estimated binding constants using Scatchard analysis. The isolated fractions of labeled estradiol were shown to be applicable to the ACE immunoassay method.  相似文献

Accumulation of inorganic nanostructures in the excretory system organs increases their likelihood of toxicity and interference with common medical diagnoses. Thus, one of the major concerns regarding their clinical translation is related to their persistence in organisms. Here the authors demonstrate that nano‐architectures composed by hollow silica nanocapsules embedding arrays of ultrasmall gold nanoparticles undergo biodegradation in cellular environment affording small, potentially clearable building blocks. Furthermore, the authors present their exploitation in glutathione‐triggered release of covalently loaded cisplatin prodrug. This endogenously triggered release leads to high cytotoxicity to human pancreatic carcinoma cells, setting the way for promising applications to synergistic dual chemo/radio‐therapy and radio‐imaging.  相似文献

Glutathione (GSH), glutathione disulfide (GSSG) and 2‐hydroxyethylated glutathione (HESG) are important biomarkers for exploring the genotoxicity mechanism of ethylene oxide (EO) or ethylene in vivo. A liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method was developed for simultaneous determination of GSH, GSSG and HESG in mouse lung tissues after inhalation exposure to EO. The lower limit of quantitation for all these biomarkers was 0.002 µg/mL. The linearity of the calibration curves for all analytes was >0.998. The intra‐day assay precision relative standard deviation (RSD) values for quality control samples for all analytes were ≤12.8% with accuracy values ranging from 87.2 to 113%. The inter‐day assay precision (RSD) values for all analytes were ≤13.1% with accuracy values ranging from 86.9 to 103%. This method was applied to concurrently determine the levels of GSH, GSSG and HESG in lung samples isolated from mouse after 4‐week inhalation exposure to EO at 0, 10, 50, 100 and 200 ppm.
