Glutathione (GSH), glutathione disulfide (GSSG) and 2‐hydroxyethylated glutathione (HESG) are important biomarkers for exploring the genotoxicity mechanism of ethylene oxide (EO) or ethylene in vivo. A liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry method was developed for simultaneous determination of GSH, GSSG and HESG in mouse lung tissues after inhalation exposure to EO. The lower limit of quantitation for all these biomarkers was 0.002 µg/mL. The linearity of the calibration curves for all analytes was >0.998. The intra‐day assay precision relative standard deviation (RSD) values for quality control samples for all analytes were ≤12.8% with accuracy values ranging from 87.2 to 113%. The inter‐day assay precision (RSD) values for all analytes were ≤13.1% with accuracy values ranging from 86.9 to 103%. This method was applied to concurrently determine the levels of GSH, GSSG and HESG in lung samples isolated from mouse after 4‐week inhalation exposure to EO at 0, 10, 50, 100 and 200 ppm. The synthesis of a series of 7-alkoxy-4-trifluoromethylcoumarins via the von Pechmann reaction catalyzed by molecular iodine is described. The reaction protocol is simple, inexpensive and leads to the formation of the corresponding coumarin derivatives in good yield and high purity. A key intermediate as well as several iodo byproducts were isolated.  相似文献

We describe an apertureless near-field Raman spectroscopy setup that has successfully produced substantial enhancements for a wide variety of samples and achieved a high contrast. The tremendous potential of tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) for nanoscale chemical characterization has been demonstrated by various groups by measuring organic dyes, biological molecules, single-walled carbon nanotubes and silicon. Keys to rapid advances in the application of TERS to pressing scientific problems include the optimization of the method to achieve greater reproducibility and greater enhancement factors if possible, but more importantly, greater imaging contrast. Using a side-illumination geometry, we demonstrate reproducible enhancements of the Raman signal per volume on the order of 103–104 using silver- and gold-coated tips on various molecular, polymeric and semiconducting materials as well as on carbon nanotubes. We have experimentally verified localization of the enhancement to a depth of ∼20 nm. Most importantly, optimization of the polarization geometry makes possible a contrast between the near-field and far-field signals of 900% in the case of silicon—a level that makes the technique attractive for various applications. The application of atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) to the homopolymerization of 2‐hydroxyethyl acrylate and 2‐(methacryloyloxy) ethyl trimethylammonium chloride at the surface of a crosslinked polystyrene latex functionalized with alkyl bromide groups is reported. Polymerization was carried out using the surface groups of the dialyzed latex as initiators. The resulting hydrophobic core, hydrophilic shell latexes, were analyzed by FTIR, 13C‐NMR spectroscopy, and dynamic light scattering.  相似文献

This work reviews new probe and electron microscopy approaches for the detection of charged domains in insulating polymers, as well as for the identification of the charge-bearing species: scanning electric potential microscopy (SEPM), electric force microscopy (EFM) and energy-loss spectroscopy imaging in the transmission electron microscope (ESI-TEM). The SEPM and EFM micrographs show patterned domains bearing excess electric charges and extending for tens of nanometers, in polymer latex particles and films. The charged species are identified by ESI-TEM as emulsion polymerization initiator and surfactant residues, as well as the associated counter-ions. Charged domains are also observed in common thermoplastic polymers, producing unexpectedly large electric potential gradients.  相似文献
