A two‐dimensional incompressible magneto‐hydrodynamic code is presented in order to solve the steady state or transient magnetized or neutral convection problems with the effect of heat transfer. The code utilizes a numerical matrix distribution scheme that runs on structured or unstructured triangular meshes and employs a dual time‐stepping technique with multi‐stage Runge–Kutta algorithm. The code can be used to simulate the natural convection with internal heat generation and absorption and nonlinear time‐dependent evolution of heated and magnetized liquid metals exposed to external fields. We present herein a new nanocatalyst, namely binary CuPt alloy nanoparticles (NPs) supported on reduced graphene oxide (CuPt‐rGO), as a highly active heterogeneous catalyst for the transfer hydrogenation (TH) protocol that is demonstrated to be applicable over the reduction of various unsaturated organic compounds (olefins, aldehydes/ketones and nitroarenes) in aqueous solutions at room temperature. CuPt alloy NPs were synthesized by the co‐reduction of metal (II) acetylacetonates by borane‐tert‐butylamine (BTB) complex in hot oleylamine (OAm) solution and then assembled on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) via ultrasonic‐assisted liquid phase self‐assembly method. The structure of yielded CuPt NPs and CuPt‐rGO nanocatalyst were characterized by TEM, XRD and ICP‐MS. The activity of Cu7Pt3‐rGO nanocatalysts were then tested for the THs that were conducted in a commercially available high‐pressure tube using water as sole solvent and ammonia borane as a hydrogen donor at room temperature. The presented catalytic TH protocol was successfully applied over nitroarenes, olefines and aldehydes/ketones, and all the tested compounds were converted to corresponding reduction products with the yields reaching up to 99% under ambient conditions. Moreover, the Cu7Pt3‐rGO nanocatalyst was also reusable in the TH by providing 99% yield after five consecutive runs in TH of nitrobenzene as an example.  相似文献

The TiO2 nanoparticles are electrospun with polyacrylonitrile (PAN) polymer solution onto the discharged battery coal (DBC) electrode and the results are evaluated as a supercapacitor. The morphology and chemical composition of the synthesized TiO2 nanoparticles and PAN+TiO2 nanocomposite fibers were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetry and FTIR analysis. Supercapacitor measurements and electrochemical characterizations of the electrodes examined by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Electrochemical measurements showed that the best current value was obtained from PAN and TiO2 coated DBC. The performances of both PAN and PAN+TiO2 coated DBC electrodes were investigated as supercapacitors. PAN+TiO2/DBC showed the best specific capacitance value of 156.00 F g−1 and PAN/DBC showed 74.93 F g−1. In addition, PAN+TiO2/DBC exhibited reliable stability performance over 2000.00 cycles.  相似文献

A series of novel chiral hybrid compounds between benzofuran and bicyclic cyclopentenone and also benzothiophene and bicyclic cyclopentenone have been designed and synthesized. Chiral enynes derived from enantiomerically enriched homoallyl and homopropargyl alcohols were converted into bicyclic cyclopentenone structures by intramolecular Pauson-Khand reactions. This strategy provides a facile access to various bicyclic cyclopentenones substituted with benzofuran or benzothiophene ring systems in good yields. In addition to the experimental work, the ground state geometries of the hybrid compounds were optimized using Density Functional Theory applications at the B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level in order to obtain information about the 3D geometries and electronic structure.  相似文献

Arterial-spin-labeling (ASL) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides a noninvasive tool to measure cerebral blood flow (CBF) and is increasingly used as a surrogate for baseline neural activity. However, the power of ASL MRI in detecting CBF differences between patient and control subjects is hampered by inter-subject variations in global CBF, which are associated with non-neural factors and may contribute to the noise in the across-group comparison. Here, we investigated the sensitivity of this technique and proposed a normalization strategy to better detect such a difference. A “model” situation was employed in which two visual stimuli (i.e. cross fixation and flashing checkerboard) were presented to two groups of subjects to mimic “control” and “patient” groups (N=7 for each group), respectively. It was found that absolute CBF (aCBF) in the occipital lobe in the checkerboard group was 26.0% greater compared to the fixation group, but the level of significance was modest (P=.03). In contrast, when normalizing the CBF with whole-brain CBF or CBF in a reference region [termed relative CBF (rCBF)], the statistical significance was improved considerably (P<.003). For voxel-based analysis, the rCBF indices correctly detected CBF differences in the occipital lobe in the across-group comparison, while aCBF failed to detect any significant cluster using the same statistical threshold. We also performed Monte Carlo simulation to confirm the experimental findings and found that the power improvement was most pronounced when signal-to-noise-ratio is moderate and the underlying CBF difference was small. The simulation also showed that, with the proposed normalization, a detection power of 80% can be achieved using a sample size of about 20. In summary, rCBF is a more sensitive index to detect small differences in CBF, rather than the much-sought-after aCBF, since it reduces data noise caused by inter-subject variations in global CBF.  相似文献

We describe a novel platform technology for both significantly enhancing and obtaining chemiluminescence signatures "on-demand", subsequently named Microwave-Triggered Metal-Enhanced Chemiluminescence. By combining the use of silver nanoparticles to plasmon enhance chemiluminescence with the use of low power microwaves to localize heating around the nanostructures, we can both optically amplify and trigger chemiluminescence reactions. This approach is a significant advantage over traditional chemiluminescence techniques and methodologies, such as those used for Western Blots, which typically require long periods of time to collect chemiluminescence and offer few possibilities of optically amplifying the signatures.  相似文献

We report our detailed metal-enhanced phosphorescence (MEP) findings using Rose Bengal at low temperature. Silver Island Films (SiFs) in close proximity to Rose Bengal significantly enhance the phosphorescence emission intensity. In this regard, a 5-fold brighter phosphorescence intensity of Rose Bengal was observed from SiFs as compared to a glass control sample at 77 K. In addition, several factors affecting MEP, such as distance dependence and silver film morphology, were also investigated. Our findings suggest that both singlet and triplet states can couple to surface plasmons and enhance both fluorescence and phosphorescence yields. This finding suggests that MEP can be used to promote triplet-based assays, such as those used in photodynamic therapy.  相似文献
