Effect of thermal neutron irradiation of metallic glasses Fe78Si9B13 and Fe78Si8B14 has been studied using Mossbauer spectroscopy. The surfaces of the two specimens are found to behave very differently under irradiation. The difference may be attributed to the presence of a thin oxide layer at the surface of as-prepared Fe78Si9B13.  相似文献

Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) causing urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a major concern among hospital-acquired infections. The need for an effective vaccine that reduces the infections is imperative. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of a multi-epitope vaccine encapsulated in silk fibroin nanoparticles (SFNPs) against P. aeruginosa-mediated UTIs. A multi-epitope is constructed from nine proteins of P. aeruginosa using immunoinformatic analysis, expressed, and purified in BL21 (DE3) cells. The encapsulation efficiency of the multi-epitope in SFNPs is 85% with a mean particle size of 130 nm and 24% of the encapsulated antigen is released after 35 days. The vaccine formulations adjuvanted with SFNPs or alum significantly improve systemic and mucosal humoral responses and the cytokine profile (IFN-γ, IL-4, and IL-17) in mice. Additionally, the longevity of the IgG response is maintained for at least 110 days in a steady state. In a bladder challenge, mice treated with the multi-epitope admixed with alum or encapsulated in SFNPs demonstrate significant protection of the bladder and kidneys against P. aeruginosa. This study highlights the promising therapeutic potential of a multi-epitope vaccine encapsulated in SFNPs or adjuvanted with alum against P. aeruginosa infections.  相似文献

Adsorption of anionic dyes onto most of zeolites with net negative charge may be restricted. In this article, a natural nanoclinoptilolite was modified with Cu and the obtained nanomaterial was used as an effective adsorbent for removal of methyl red as an anionic model azo dye up to 90% in 20 min.This new adsorbent was characterized utilizing X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Also, effects of methyl red concentration, mass of sorbent and pH on the removal percent were examined. Moreover, the adsorption mechanism was investigated by plotting the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. The results showed that the data can be fitted with both models. The most adsorption capacity obtained from Langmuir isotherm was about 200 mg/g. Moreover, the Cu modified nanoclinoptilolite was successfully employed for adsorption of another anionic dye, bromothymol blue. The results confirmed that this new adsorbent can be effectively applied for removing of anionic dyes from waste waters.  相似文献

Nonlinear dynamical systems, being more of a realistic representation of nature, could exhibit a somewhat complex behavior. Their analysis requires a thorough investigation into the solution of the governing differential equations. In this paper, a class of third order nonlinear differential equations has been analyzed. An attempt has been made to obtain sufficient conditions in order to guarantee the existence of periodic solutions. The results obtained from this analysis are shown to be beneficial when studying the steady-state response of nonlinear dynamical systems. In order to obtain the periodic solutions for any form of third order differential equations, a computer program has been developed on the basis of the fourth order Runge-Kutta method together with the Newton-Raphson algorithm. Results obtained from the computer simulation model confirmed the validity of the mathematical approach presented for these sufficient conditions.  相似文献

An experimental and numerical study has been carried out to investigate the heat transfer characteristics of a horizontal circular cylinder exposed to a slot jet impingement of air. A square-edged nozzle is mounted parallel with the cylinder axis and jet flow impinges on the bottom of the cylinder. The study is focused on low Reynolds numbers ranging from 120 to 1,210, Grashof numbers up to Gr = 10Re 2 and slot-to-cylinder spacing from 2 to 8 of the slot width. The flow field is greatly influenced by the slot exit velocity and the buoyancy force due to density change. A Mach–Zehnder Interferometer is used for measurement of local Nusselt number around the cylinder at 10° interval. It is observed that the average Nusselt number decreases with increasing the jet spacing and increases with rising the Reynolds number. A finite volume method utilizing a curvilinear coordinate transformation is used for numerical modeling. The numerical results show good agreement with the experimental results. The flow and thermal field are seen to be stable and symmetric around the cylinder over the range of parameters studied.  相似文献

Mass-selected beams of atomic Ceq+ ions (q = 2, 3, 4), of C82+ and of endohedral Ce@C82+ ions were employed to study photoionization of free and encaged cerium atoms. The Ce 4d inner-shell contributions to single and double ionization of the endohedral Ce@C82+ fullerene have been extracted from the data and compared with expectations based on theory and the experiments with atomic Ce ions. Dramatic reduction and redistribution of the ionization contributions to 4d photoabsorption is observed. More than half of the Ce 4d oscillator strength appears to be diverted to the additional decay channels opened by the fullerene cage surrounding the Ce atom.  相似文献

Nanocomposite ZnO–Ag thin film containing nano-sized Ag particles have been grown on glass substrate by spin-coating technique using zinc acetate dihydrate as starting precursor in 2-propanol as solvent and monoethanolamine as stabilizer. Silver nanoparticles were added in the ZnO sol using silver nitrate dissolved in ethanol-acetonitrile. Their structural, electrical, crystalline size and optical properties were investigated as a function of preheating, annealing temperature and silver content. The results indicated that the crystalline phase was increased with increase of annealing temperature up to 550 °C at optimum preheating temperature of 275 °C. Thermal gravimetric differential thermal analysis results indicated that the decomposition of pure ZnO and nanocomposite ZnO–Ag precursors occurred at 225 and 234 °C, respectively with formation of ZnO wurtzite crystals. The scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy revealed that the surface structure (the porosity and grain size) of the ZnO–Ag thin film (the film thickness is about 379 nm) was changed compared to pure ZnO thin film. The result of transmission electron microscopy showed that Ag particles were about 5 nm and ZnO particles 58 nm with uniform silver nanoclusters. Optical absorption results indicated that optical absorption of ZnO–Ag thin films decreased with increase of annealing temperature. Nanocomposite ZnO–Ag thin films with [Ag] = 0.068 M and [Ag] = 0.110 M showed an intense absorption band, whose maximum signals appear at 430 nm which is not present in pure ZnO thin films. The result of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed that the binding energy of Ag 3d5/2 for ZnO–Ag shifts remarkably to the lower binding energy compared to the pure metallic Ag due to the interaction between Ag and ZnO.  相似文献

This article is devoted to combined convection heat transfer of nanofluids through a vertical channel filled with a homogeneous and isotropic porous medium. The flow is assumed to be fully developed and the “Brinkman extended Darcy” model is used for the flow in the porous media and “clear compatible” viscous dissipation model is considered. Also the model utilized for the nanofluid incorporates the effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis. The governing momentum, energy, and nanopartices volume fraction equations are solved both analytically and numerically. The effects of the influential dimensionless parameters such as Brownian and thermophoresis parameters, mixed convection parameter (Gr/Re), Brinkman, Darcy and Lewis numbers on dimensionless velocity and temperature distributions and pressure drop are studied. Also, the results of the Nusselt number for the both left and right walls are presented and discussed.  相似文献

Novel Pd nanoparticles were prepared in five successive stages: 1) preparation of the Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (Fe3O4 MNPs), 2) coating of Fe3O4 MNPs with SiO2 (Fe3O4@SiO2), 3) functionalization of Fe3O4@SiO2 with 3‐chloropropyltrimethoxy‐ silane (CPTMS) ligand (Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS), 4) further functionalization with 3,5‐diamino‐1,2,4‐triazole (DAT) ligand (Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS @DAT), and 5) the complexation of Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS@DAT with PdCl2 (Fe3O4@SiO2@CPTMS@ DAT@Pd). Then, the obtained Pd nano‐catalyst characterized by different methods such as the elemental analysis (CHN), FT‐IR, XRD, EDX, SEM, TEM, TG‐DTA and VSM. Finally, the Pd catalyst was applied for the synthesis of various 2‐imino‐3‐phenyl‐2,3‐dihydrobenzo[d]oxazol‐5‐ols.  相似文献

In this paper we concern with the nonlinear third order quasi‐linear system of ordinary differential equations as: X′′′ + Λ X′ = ϵ F(X, X′, X″) where X ∈ ℝn and Λ is a diagonal matrix. We obtain some simple sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solution using theorem of Brouer's degree. As we showed earlier [1], the scalar form the (1) can be treated by the Implicit Function Theorem instead of Brouer degree. Also because of the possibility of rewriting a 2n + 1 order equation into a third order system by a simple transformation [2], we can obtain useful results for such equations too. The main problem for this kind of equations is the validity of the results for the parameter free problem, i.e. when ϵ = 1. We consider it by study of dynamic of curves formed by the initial conditions that force the system be periodic when ϵ starts to increase.  相似文献
