Biofluids which exhibit non-Newtonian behavior are widely used in microfluidic devices which involve fluid mixing in microscales. In order to study the effects of shear depending viscosity of non-Newtonian fluids on characteristics of electroosmotic micromixing, a numerical investigation of flow of power-law fluid in a two-dimensional microchannel with nonuniform zeta potential distributions along the channel walls was carried out via finite volume scheme. The simulation results confirmed that the shear depending viscosity has a significant effect on the degree of mixing efficiency. It was shown as the fluid behavior index of power-law fluid, n, decreases, more homogeneous solution can be achieved at the microchannel outlet. Hence, electroosmotic micromixing was found more practical and efficient in microscale mixing of pseudoplastic fluids rather than those Newtonian and dilatant ones. Furthermore, it was found that increase in Reynolds number results in lower mixing efficiency while electroosmotic forces are kept constant.  相似文献

A new series of 2-substituted-5-[2-(2-halobenzyloxy)phenyl]-1,3,4-oxadiazoles was designed and synthesized as anticonvulsant agents. Electroshock and pentylenetetrazole-induced lethal convulsion tests showed that the introduction of an amino group at position 2 of 1,3,4-oxadiazole ring and a fluoro substituent at ortho position of benzyloxy moiety had the best anticonvulsant activity. Our results showed that this effect is mediated through benzodiazepine receptors mechanism.  相似文献

In the present work, firstly, a first-principles study of the structural, electronic, and electron transport properties of the Hg_xMg_(1-x)Te(HMT) ternary compound is performed using the ABINIT package and the results are compared with Cd_(0.9)Zn_(0.1) Te(CZT) as a current room-temperature photodetector. Next, the response functions of Hg_(0.6)Mg_(0.4)Te and Cd_(0.9)Zn_(0.1)Te under electromagnetic irradiation with 0.05 Me V, 0.2 MeV, 0.661 MeV and 1.33 MeV energies are simulated by using the MCNP code. According to these simulations, the Hg_(0.6)Mg_(0.4)Te ternary compound is suggested as a good semiconductor photodetector for use at room temperature.  相似文献

Novel sulfur-modified niobium(V) oxide nanoparticles (SNON) that firstly exhibited good visible light sensitization were fabricated by a modified sol–gel technique using a very stable sol containing niobium(V) chloride, oxalic acid, isopropanol as chelating agent and thiourea as sulfur source. The resulting S-doped Nb2O5 nanomaterials were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), scanning electron microscope (SEM), ultra-violet diffuse reflectance (UV-DRS) and thermogravimetry thermal Analysis (TG-DTA). As against the response of unmodified niobium(V) oxide nanoparticles (UNON), the doped samples show different electrochemical response indicating an induced charge transfer across the niobium pentoxide/solution interface, thus forming two anodic peaks and a cathodic peak. This important observation was confirmed by UV-DRS in terms of band bending due to sulfur doping. Upon sulfur-modification, the absorption edge extends into the visible light region. The SEM observation shows that the SNPN existed in the mode of polycrystalline structure and the average grain size 63 nm. The EDAX analysis of undoped Nb2O5 and sulfur doped Nb2O5 shows the Nb2O5 (98%) and S (2%) content of nanopowder. These SNON nanoparticles are expected to be suitable candidates as visible light niobium(V) oxide nanoparticles sensitization.  相似文献

A series of terpolymers containing silyl pendant groups were prepared by free radical cross‐linking copolymerization. Et3Si and HMe2Si were covalently linked with 4‐vinylbenzyl and abbreviated as TESiMSt and DMSiMSt, respectively. Et3Si was covalently linked with 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA). The silyl‐linked HEMA are abbreviated as TESiEMA. Free radical terpolymerization of the methacrylic acid (MAA) with different molar ratios of organosilyl monomers was carried out at 60–70 °C. The compositions of the polymers were determined by FT‐IR spectroscopy and 1H‐NMR. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of the polymers was determined calorimetrically. The study of DSC curves showed that incorporation of monomers with cyclic units in polymer chains increases the rigidity of terpolymers and the Tg value is subsequently increased.  相似文献

A new flow injection chemiluminescence (CL) system was used for the determination of noscapine. This technique is based on the reduction effect of noscapine on the Ru(phen)3(3+), which is produced by reaction between Ru(phen)3(2+) and acidic Ce(IV) solutions, and this rapid reduction produces strong CL. Calibration plots were linear over the range of 3.0 x 10(-7) - 2.0 x 10(-6) mol L(-1) and 2.0 x 10(-6) - 2.0 x 10(-4) mol L(-1). The CL intensity was so high, that it is able to produce a detection limit of 6.6 x 10(-8) M noscapine (3sigma). The relative standard deviation of 2.0 x 10(-6) M noscapine was 1.0% (n=10). The proposed method was successfully applied for the flow injection determination of noscapine in cough and Tonin syrup samples. The results of real sample analyses show good recovery percentages (97.3-102.4%). The minimum sampling rate was 100 samples per hour.  相似文献
