A novel method for preparing regular and highly interconnected macroporous poly(L ‐lactic acid) (PLLA) scaffolds is presented. Scaffolds with pore sizes ranging from 50 to 300 μm were fabricated from a PLLA/1,4‐dioxane/water ternary system via a thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) in the presence of small amounts of NaCl (⩽0.1 wt.‐%). The addition of salt had the following effects. The cloud‐point temperature was raised because of a salt‐out effect. Spinodal decomposition was induced at a higher temperature with a large quench depth. Gelation due to the crystallization of PLLA was prevented to a large extent, which led to the creation of the highly interconnected macropores required for effective cell penetration.  相似文献

The study aims to determine the secondary metabolites of Hypericum androsaemum L. extracts by liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS), and investigate the antioxidant and cytotoxic activities of the plant. Cytotoxic activity was evaluated by MTT assay, and apoptosis induction abilities on human prostate adenocarcinoma (PC-3), and hepatocellular carcinoma (Hep G2) cell lines. Accordingly, major secondary metabolites were found as hederagenin (762 ± 70.10 μg/g) in the leaves dichloromethane (LD), herniarin (167 ± 1.50 μg/g) in fruit dichloromethane (FD), (-)-epicatechin (6538 ± 235.36 μg/g) in the leaves methanol (LM), (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (758 ± 20.46 μg/g) in the fruit methanol (FM), and caffeic acid (370 ± 8.88 μg/g) in the fruit water (FW), and (3313 ± 79.51 μg/g) in the leaves water (LW) extracts. LM exerted strong antioxidant activity in DPPH free (IC50 10.94 ± 0.08 μg/mL), and ABTS cation radicals scavenging (IC50 9.09 ± 0.05 μg/mL) activities. FM exhibited cytotoxic activity with IC50 values of 73.23 ± 3.06 µg/mL and 31.64 ± 2.75 µg/mL on PC-3 and Hep G2 cell lines, respectively. Being the richest extract in terms of quillaic acid (630 ± 18.9 μg/g), which is a well-known cytotoxic triterpenoid with proven apoptosis induction ability on different cells, FM extract showed apoptosis induction activity with 64.75% on PC-3 cells at 50 μg/mL concentration. The study provides promising results about the potential of Hypericum androsaemum on cancer prevention.  相似文献

Ternary Nitridoborates. 2. Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Vibrational Spectra of New Ternary Compounds with the [N–B–N]3– Anion The isotypic compounds LiM4[BN2]3 (M = Ca, Sr, Ba, Eu) and NaM4[BN2]3 (M = Sr, Ba) are formed as colorless to pale yellow prismatic crystals (black with Eu) by reaction of the binary components Li3N, M3N2, EuN and Na, NaN3, Ba3N2 and BN in sealed niobium ampoules at 1375 and 1275 K, respectively. The linear anions [N–B–N]3– have bond lengths d(B–N) between 132.6 and 136.6 pm. Vibrational frequencies and force constants f(B–N) = 7.25–7.89 Ncm–1 reveal significant drifts related to bond length and effective anionic charge. The cubic crystal structures (Im3m (No. 229), Z = 2; LiM4[BN2]3: a(Ca) = 711.5 pm; a(Sr) = 745.6 pm; a(Eu) = 742.5 pm, a(Ba) = 788.0 pm and NaM4[BN2] 3 : a(Sr) = 756.8 pm; a(Ba) = 791.7 pm)) are stuffed derivatives of the β‐PtHg4 structure type, and the range of existence of this cubic structure is derived from the molar volume and the ionic radii. The cations form a partial structure of centered cubes E1(E2)8 which are condensed to a [E1(E2)8/2] network (E1 = Li, Na; E2 = Ca, Sr, Ba, Eu). The remaining open cubes are filled by the [BN2]3– anions yielding two interpenetrating [E1(BN2)6/2] networks. Periodic Nodal Surfaces (PNS) of Im3m symmetry show the regions of different interactions.  相似文献

We study the problem of finding a basis for all rules admissible in the intuitionistic propositional logic IPC. The main result is Theorem 3.1 which gives a basis consisting of all rules in semi‐reduced form satisfying certain specific additional requirements. The corrosion of metals, i.e., the initiation and acceleration of the surface deterioration of metals through an electrochemical reaction with the surrounding intrusive environment, is a global concern because of the economic and environmental impacts. Corrosion inhibitors are considered the most practical choice among the available corrosion protection techniques due to their effectiveness in terms of functionality and cost. The use of traditional and toxic corrosion inhibitors has led to environmental issues, arousing the need for green counterparts that are environmentally friendly, easily accessible, biodegradable, and cost-effective. In this review, the utilization of green corrosion inhibitors purely acquired from renewable sources is explored, with an in-depth focus on the recent advancements in the use of fruit and vegetable extracts as green corrosion inhibitors. In particular, fruits and vegetables are natural sources of various phytochemicals that exhibit key potential in corrosion inhibition. To shed light on the true potential of such extracts in the protection of steel in acidic environments, the experimental techniques involved in corrosion inhibition and the mechanism of corrosion inhibition are discussed in detail. The study highlights the potential of fruit and vegetable extracts as non-toxic, economical, and effective corrosion inhibitors in the pursuit of green chemistry. In addition to discussing and outlining the current status and opportunities for employing fruit and vegetable extracts as corrosion inhibitors, the current review outlines the challenges involved in the utilization of such extracts in corrosion inhibition.  相似文献

Nanoscience is a multidisciplinary skill with elucidated nanoscale particles and their advantages in applications to various fields. Owing to their economical synthesis, biocompatible nature, and widespread biomedical and environmental applications, the green synthesis of metal nanoparticles using medicinal plants has become a potential research area in biomedical research and functional food formulations. Gynostemma pentaphyllum (GP) has been extensively used in traditional Chinese medicine to cure several diseases, including diabetes mellitus (DM). This is the first study in which we examined the efficacy of G. pentaphyllum gold nanoparticles (GP-AuNPs) against obesity and related inflammation. GP extract was used as a capping agent to reduce Au2+ to Au0 to form stable gold nanoparticles. The nanoparticles were characterized by using UV–VIS spectroscopy, and TEM images were used to analyze morphology. In contrast, the existence of the functional group was measured using FTIR, and size and shape were examined using XRD analysis. In vitro analysis on GP-AuNPs was nontoxic to RAW 264.7 cells and 3T3-L1 cells up to a specific concentration. It significantly decreased lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 obese and reduced NO production in Raw 264.7 macrophage cells. The significant adipogenic genes PPARγ and CEPBα and a major pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α expression were quantified using RT-PCR. The GP-AuNPs decreased the face of these genes remarkably, revealing the antiadipogenic and anti-inflammatory activity of our synthesized GP-AuNPs. This study represents thorough research on the antiobesity effect of Gynostemma pentaphyllum gold nanoparticles synthesized using a green approach and the efficacy instead of related inflammatory responses.  相似文献

Lichen-derived monoaromatic compounds are bioactive compounds, associated with various pharmacological properties: antioxidant, antifungal, antiviral, cytotoxicity, and enzyme inhibition. However, little is known about data regarding alpha-glucosidase inhibition and antimicrobial activity. Very few compounds were reported to have these activities. In this paper, a series of monoaromatic compounds from a lichen source were isolated and structurally elucidated. They are 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid (1), 3,5-dihydroxybenzoate methyl (2), 3,5-dihydroxy-4-methylbenzoic acid (3), 3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxylbenzoic acid (4), 3-hydroxyorcinol (5), atranol (6), and methyl hematommate (7). To obtain more derivatives, available compounds from the previous reports such as methyl β-orsellinate (8), methyl orsellinate (9), and D-montagnetol (10) were selected for bromination. Electrophilic bromination was applied to 8–10 using NaBr/H2O2 reagents to yield products methyl 5-bromo-β-orsellinate (8a), methyl 3,5-dibromo-orsellinate (9a), 3-bromo-D-montagnetol (10a), and 3,5-dibromo-D-montagnetol (10b). Compounds were evaluated for alpha-glucosidase inhibition and antimicrobial activity against antibiotic-resistant, pathogenic bacteria Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, and Acinetobacter baumannii. Compound 4 showed stronger alpha-glucosidase inhibition than others with an IC50 value of 24.0 µg/mL. Synthetic compound 9a exhibited remarkable activity against Staphylococcus aureus with a MIC value of 4 µg/mL. Molecular docking studies were performed to confirm the consistency between in vitro and in silico studies.  相似文献

The phytochemical investigation of Placolobium vietnamense stems led to the isolation of a new isoflavone derivative (1) and three new benzil derivatives (2–4), together with four known pyranoisoflavones (5–8). The structures of all isolated compounds were determined on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses, including NMR and HRMS spectral data, as well as comparison of their spectroscopic data with those reported in the literature. The cytotoxicity of all isolated compounds was assessed against the human liver hepatocellular carcinoma (Hep G2) cell line, and compound 1 displayed the most significant cytotoxicity with an IC50 value of 8.0 μM. Furthermore, all isolated compounds were also tested for their inhibitory activity against NO production in RAW 264.7 macrophages. Of these, compound 1 exhibited the strongest inhibitory efficacy against the LPS-induced NO production with the IC50 value of 13.7 μM.  相似文献

A lead (Pb) isotopic record, covering the two oldest glacial–interglacial cycles (~572 to 801 kyr ago) characterized by lukewarm interglacials in the European Project for Ice Coring in Antarctica Dome C ice core, provides evidence for dust provenance in central East Antarctic ice prior to the Mid-Brunhes Event (MBE), ~430 kyr ago. Combined with published post-MBE data, distinct isotopic compositions, coupled with isotope mixing model results, suggest Patagonia/Tierra del Fuego (TdF) as the most important sources of dust during both pre-MBE and post-MBE cold and intermediate glacial periods. During interglacials, central-western Argentina emerges as a major contributor, resulting from reduced dust supply from Patagonia/TdF after the MBE, contrasting to the persistent dominance of dust from Patagonia/TdF before the MBE. The data also show a small fraction of volcanic Pb transferred from extra-Antarctic volcanoes during post-MBE interglacials, as opposed to abundant transfer prior to the MBE. These differences are most likely attributed to the enhanced wet removal efficiency with the hydrological cycle intensified over the Southern Ocean, associated with a poleward shift of the southern westerly winds (SWW) during warmer post-MBE interglacials, and vice versa during cooler pre-MBE ones. Our results highlight sensitive responses of the SWW and the associated atmospheric conditions to stepwise Antarctic warming.  相似文献

Three new flavonoid derivatives, melodorones A–C (1–3), together with four known compounds, tectochrysin (4), chrysin (5), onysilin (6), and pinocembrin (7), were isolated from the stem bark of Melodorum fruticosum. Their structures were determined on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods, including NMR and HRESIMS, and by comparison with the literature. Compounds 1–7 were evaluated for their in vitro α-glucosidase inhibition and cytotoxicity against KB, Hep G2, and MCF7 cell lines. Among them, compound 1 exhibited the best activity against α-glucosidase and was superior to the positive control with an IC50 value of 2.59 μM. On the other hand, compound 1 showed moderate cytotoxicity toward KB, Hep G2, and MCF7 cell lines with the IC50 values of 23.5, 19.8, and 23.7 μM, respectively. These findings provided new evidence that the stem bark of M. fruticosum is a source of bioactive flavonoid derivatives that are highly valuable for medicinal development.  相似文献
