Inventory strategies for systems with fast remanufacturing

We describe hybrid manufacturing/remanufacturing systems with a long lead time for manufacturing and a short lead time for remanufacturing. We review the classes of inventory strategies for hybrid systems in the literature. These are all based on equal lead times. For systems with slow manufacturing and fast remanufacturing, we propose a new class. An extensive numerical experiment shows that the optimal strategy in the new class almost always performs better and often much better than the optimal strategies in all other classes.     

乙醇增敏光泽精－H_2O_2－Pb（Ⅱ）化学发光体系的研究及应用

本文研究了Ｈ＿２Ｏ＿２氧化光泽精发光反应及乙醇的敏化作用，发现加入乙醇可使铅催化Ｈ＿２Ｏ＿２，氧化光泽精的发光强度有较大幅度的增强；铅量在３×１０￣（－７）～８×１０￣（－５）ｇ／ｍＬ。范围内与发光强度成正比．方法检出限为０．１０μｇ／ｍＬ；对含４μｇ／ｍＬＰｂ（Ⅱ）１１次重复测定，其ＲＳＤ为２．３％．对３２种常见的阴阳离子进行了干扰实验，表明方法具有较好的选择性。本法应用于水样及沉积物标样中痕量铅的测定，结果良好。     

Solving stochastic programs with integer recourse by enumeration: A framework using Gröbner basis

In this paper we present a framework for solving stochastic programs with complete integer recourse and discretely distributed right-hand side vector, using Gröbner basis methods from computational algebra to solve the numerous second-stage integer programs. Using structural properties of the expected integer recourse function, we prove that under mild conditions an optimal solution is contained in a finite set. Furthermore, we present a basic scheme to enumerate this set and suggest improvements to reduce the number of function evaluations needed.     

Measurement of the transverse Doppler shift using a stored relativistic7Li+ ion beam

We have performed for the first time precision spectroscopy on a coasting fast⁷Li⁺ ion beam in a storage ring. The ion beam moving with 6.4% speed of light was first electron cooled and then merged with two counterpropagating laser beams acting on two different hyperfine transitions sharing a common upper level (λ-system). One laser was frequency locked to thea ₃ ¹²⁷J₂ hfs frequency component established as a secondary frequency standard at 514 nm. The second laser was tuned over theλ-resonance, which was recorded relative to¹²⁷J₂ hfs components. This experiment is sensitive to the time dilation in fast moving frames and will lead to new limits for the verification of special relatively. The present status of the experiment and perspectives in accuracy are discussed.
