Substitution of Ge4+ in place of Cu in Tl0.85Cr0.15Sr2CaCu2?xGexO7?δ (x = 0–0.6) showed initial increase in zero critical temperature value, Tc zero from 98 K (x = 0) to 100 K (x = 0.1) and in the range of 85–86 K for x = 0.2–0.3. The slow decrease in Tc zero is unexpected as tetravalent Ge4+ substitution is expected to strongly reduce hole concentration in the samples and suppress Tc zero. Excess conductivity analyses of resistance versus temperature data based on Asmalazov–Larkin (AL) theory revealed that the substitution induced 2D-to-3D transition of fluctuation induced conductivity with the highest transition temperature, T2D3D observed at x = 0.1. FTIR spectroscopy analysis indicates Ge4+ substitution cause reduction in CuO2/GeO2 interplanar distance while our calculation based on Lawrence–Doniach model revealed highest superconducting coherence length, ξc(0) and interplanar coupling, J at x = 0.3. On the other hand, substitution of divalent Mg2+ for Ca2+ in (Tl0.5Pb0.5)(Sr1.8Yb0.2)(Ca1?yMgy)Cu2O7 (y = 0–1.0), which is not expected to directly vary hole concentration, surprisingly caused Tc zero to increase from 89.6 K (y = 0) to an optimum value of 95.9 K (y = 0.6) before decreasing with further increase in y. Excess conductivity analyses showed 2D-to-3D transition of fluctuation induced conductivity for all samples where the highest T2D3D was at y = 0.4. Similar calculation revealed highest values of ξc(0) and J also at y = 0.4. FTIR analysis of the samples indicates inequivalent Cu(1)O(2)Pb/Tl lengths and possible tilting of CuO2 plane as a result of Mg2+ substitution. The increased ξc(0) and J as a result of the Ge4+ and Mg2+ substitutions are suggested to contributed to sustenance of superconductivity above 80 K in the samples.  相似文献

The three Ru(II) complexes of [Ru(phen)2dppca]2+ (1) [Ru(bpy)2dppca]2+ (2) and [Ru(dmb)2dppca]2+ (3) (where phen = 1,10 phenanthroline, bpy = 2,2-bipyridine, dmb = 2 ,2-dimethyl 2′,2′-bipyridine and polypyridyl ligand containing a single carboxylate functionality dppca ligand (dipyridophenazine-11-carboxylic acid) have been synthesized and characterized. These complexes have been shown to act as promising calf thymus DNA intercalators and a new class of DNA light switches, as evidenced by UV-visible and luminescence titrations with Co2+ and EDTA, steady-state emission quenching by [Fe(CN)6]4− and KI, DNA competitive binding with ethidium bromide, viscosity measurements, and DNA melting experiments. The results suggest that 1, 2, and 3 complexes bind to CT-DNA through intercalation and follows the order 1 > 2 > 3. Under irradiation at 365 nm, the three complexes have also been found to promote the photocleavage of plasmid pBR322 DNA.  相似文献

The synthesis of chemically anchored adenosine with biocompatible poly(2-hydroxylethyl methacrylate) grafted gold nanoparticles (Ado-i-PHEMA-g-AuNPs) was realized by employing a simple strategy. Disulfide-containing poly(2-hydroxylethyl methacrylate) (DT-PHEMA) was initially synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). The formation of DT-PHEMA was confirmed by 1H-NMR and FT-IR. The molecular weight and molecular weight distribution were found to be 9.6 kg/mol and 1.40 from GPC analysis. DT-PHEMA was subsequently used for the synthesis of PHEMA-g-AuNPs by a grafting to protocol. The grafting of DT-PHEMA on the surface of AuNPs was confirmed by FT-IR, TGA, XPS, and EDX analyses. The particle size of the PHEMA-g-AuNPs was found to be ca. 5.0 nm from HR-TEM analysis. Boronic acid was used for functionalization of PHEMA-g-AuNPs, which was then subjected for covalent immobilization with adenosine via strong interaction between free hydroxyl groups of adenosine and boronic acid. Characterization and properties of the Ado-i-PHEMA-g-AuNPs were investigated by taking advantage from FT-IR, XPS, EDX, and UV-visible spectroscopy. The Ado-i-PHEMA-g-AuNPs nanocomposite exhibits a surface plasmon resonance peak at 586 nm which is red shifted from AuNPs (521 nm), indicating significant changes of surface property upon PHEMA-adenosine immobilization onto the surface of AuNPs.  相似文献

The structural, electrical and optical characteristics of porous silicon (PS) due to the impregnation of LaF3 into PS by a novel chemical-bath deposition (CBD) technique have been investigated in this article. Without removing the PS from the anodization chamber the impregnation with LaF3 has been done by reacting LaCl3 with HF in the same chamber at room temperature. The impregnation of LaF3 was confirmed by the SEM on the cross-section of the LaF3/PS/Si system and EDX. The modification of PS surface by LaF3 had direct influence on the electrical and optical properties of PS. Electrical properties of Ag/LaF3/PS/p-Si/Ag structures were studied through the current-voltage (I-V) and capacitance-voltage (C-V) characteristics. Formation of metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) diode was evident whose forward current increased with annealing. A diode factor of about 2.4 has been obtained for the annealed heterostructure indicating a high density of trap states. The C−2-V curves of all samples showed negative flat band voltage of around −2 V confirming a large number of fixed positive charges in the LaF3. The photoluminescence (PL) intensity of the LaF3-impregnated PS showed aging for the as-deposited samples, but when annealed PS structure recovered the PL intensity. Experimental results show that the optimized chemical bath passivation process for the LaF3 on porous silicon could enable the porous silicon to be an important material for photonic application.  相似文献

Detailed structural analysis of the X-Ray diffraction pattern of La0.9Gd0.1FeO3 (LGFO) synthesized via the solid state reaction reveals distorted perovskite structure. Magnetization studies show a characteristic of weak ferromagnetism which is believed to be induced by canted anti-ferromagnetically coupled spins. When explored in a wide temperature and frequency range, AC electrical properties reveal interesting relaxation mechanisms. LGFO exhibits relatively high dielectric permittivity (ε′~4×103) close to room temperature. Temperature dependent magneto-dielectric response appears (magnetodielectric ~−5.5%) even at low magnetic field ~5 kOe. Attractive electrical, magnetic and magnetoelectric properties of the present LGFO at relatively higher temperature makes it a very promising material for application in devices.  相似文献

Isotactic polypropylene (iPP) film was melt-crystallized in a temperature gradient. The iPP film showed well oriented α- and β-crystalline textures along the gradient. The crystalline structure, phase transition boundary and lamellar twisting were examined by X-ray diffraction and laser light diffraction (LLD). On the α-β boundary, LLD shows a sharp streak perpendicular to the boundary, where the a-axis of the β-crystal is oriented perpendicular to the temperature gradient. Apart from the boundary, the a-axis of the β-crystal becomes parallel to the gradient. The β-crystal shows lamellar twisting with a pitch of 200 μm at room temperature. When heated the β-crystal, the lamellar distance of 295Å at room temperature decreases to 285Å at 80–100°C and then increases to more than 300Å above 120°C. During the heating, the value of the twist period increases from 200 to 210 μm at 90–100°C, and then to above 224 μm at 140°C. The increase of the twist period is related to the increasing crystalline thickness of the β-lamellae.  相似文献

GAMMA 10 experiments have advanced in high density experiments after the last EPS Workshop where we reported high density plasma production by using an ion cyclotron range of frequency heating at a high harmonic frequency and neutral beam injection in the central cell. Recently a high density plasma was obtained with much improved reproducibility than before and without degradation of diamagnetic signal. The high density plasma was attained by adjusting the spacing of the conducting plates installed in the anchor transition regions. Dependencies of particle confinement time, ion energy confinement time and plasma confining potential on plasma density were obtained for the first time in the high density region. Chrysene and 1.2-benzanthracene are successfully doped in a solid wax film and their vibrational spectra in gooo--400cm^-1 are discussed. The harmonic frequencies and relative intensities of both the molecules observed in the film are compared with theoretical values calculated by the density functional theory (DFT) model as well as with the previous experimental data. The effects on spectra due to change of matrix and some additional bands observed in the wax film are also reported. Excellent agreement in the spectral positions and strengths between the experiments and DFT values are found.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate reduction of the polarization sensitivity of a nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) from 5 to 0.5 dB by use of 550 m of twisted dispersion-shifted fiber with a twist rate of 8 turns/m (24 turns/beat length). The twisting of the fiber induces circular birefringence and equates the parallel-and the orthogonal-polarization nonlinear phase-shift terms. Experimental results show that the polarization sensitivity monotonically decreases from 5 dB for nontwisted fiber to 0.5 dB for fiber that is twisted at a rate of 8 turns/m, and the twist rate should be more than 4 turns/m (>10 turns/beat length) for emulation of circularly polarized fiber. The minimum polarization sensitivity occurs when the control-pulse polarization is aligned with one of the eigenmodes of the twisted fiber. With the fiber twisted at a rate of 8 turns/m in the NOLM, the nonlinear transmission is 23% at a switching energy of 4 pJ/pulse. Simulations confirm the observed behavior and show that the remaining polarization sensitivity results from energy transfer between orthogonal modes of the signal pulse.  相似文献
