Alkali metal–oxygen batteries are of great interests for energy storage because of their unparalleled theoretical energy densities. Particularly attractive is the emerging Na–O2 battery because of the formation of superoxide as the discharge product. Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a promising solvent for this battery but its instability towards Na makes it impractical in the Na–O2 battery. Herein we report the enhanced stability of Na in DMSO solutions containing concentrated sodium trifluoromethanesulfonimide (NaTFSI) salts (>3 mol kg?1). Raman spectra of NaTFSI/DMSO electrolytes and ab initio molecular dynamics simulation reveal the Na+ solvation number in DMSO and the formation of Na(DMSO)3(TFSI)‐like solvation structure. The majority of DMSO molecules solvating Na+ in concentrated solutions reduces the available free DMSO molecules that can react with Na and renders the TFSI anion decomposition, which protects Na from reacting with the electrolyte. Using these concentrated electrolytes, Na–O2 batteries can be cycled forming sodium superoxide (NaO2) as the sole discharge product with improved long cycle life, highlighting the beneficial role of concentrated electrolytes for Na‐based batteries. 相似文献

The final method used HP20SS as a solid support to effectively desalt extracts and fractionate the organic components. The primary challenge for n-type small-molecule organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) is to improve their electron mobilities and thus the key figure of merit μC*. Nevertheless, few reports in OECTs have specially proposed to address this issue. Herein, we report a 10-ring-fused polycyclic π-system consisting of the core of naphthalene bis-isatin dimer and the terminal moieties of rhodanine, which features intramolecular noncovalent interactions, high π-delocalization and strong electron-deficient characteristics. We find that this extended π-conjugated system using the ring fusion strategy displays improved electron mobilities up to 0.043 cm2 V−1 s−1 compared to our previously reported small molecule gNR, and thereby leads to a remarkable μC* of 10.3 F cm−1 V−1 s−1 in n-type OECTs, which is the highest value reported to date for small-molecule OECTs. The synthesis of a novel fused hexacyclic electron rich monomer incorporating thieno[3,2‐b]thiophene is reported and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction. Suzuki co‐polymerization with benzothiadiazole (BT) afforded a novel low band‐gap polymer P4TBT with high molecular weights and good solution processability. Bulk heterojunction solar cell devices using the P4TBT and [70]PCBM gave power conversion efficiencies of 2.5%. Top‐gate, bottom‐contact field effect transistors (FETs) using P4TBT displayed high hole mobilities of 0.07 cm2 · Vs−1 demonstrating the suitability of the novel monomer and polymer for use in high performing organic electronic devices.
In this paper we report on the structural, electrical and optical characteristics of unintentionally doped ZnO films grown on a-plane sapphire substrates using the Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc (FCVA) technique. The resulting films showed considerable promise for device applications with properties including high transparency, moderate intrinsic carrier concentrations (1017–1019 cm−3), electron mobilities up to 30 cm2/Vs, low surface roughness (typically <2% of film thickness) and well-structured photoluminescence. Post-annealing in oxygen at temperatures up to 800 °C produced significant improvements in the properties of these films. Silver oxide Schottky diodes fabricated on FCVA ZnO showed ideality factors as low as 1.20 and good sensitivity to ultraviolet light. 相似文献
Bayesian additive regression trees (BART) is a Bayesian approach to flexible nonlinear regression which has been shown to be competitive with the best modern predictive methods such as those based on bagging and boosting. BART offers some advantages. For example, the stochastic search Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm can provide a more complete search of the model space and variation across MCMC draws can capture the level of uncertainty in the usual Bayesian way. The BART prior is robust in that reasonable results are typically obtained with a default prior specification. However, the publicly available implementation of the BART algorithm in the R package BayesTree is not fast enough to be considered interactive with over a thousand observations, and is unlikely to even run with 50,000 to 100,000 observations. In this article we show how the BART algorithm may be modified and then computed using single program, multiple data (SPMD) parallel computation implemented using the Message Passing Interface (MPI) library. The approach scales nearly linearly in the number of processor cores, enabling the practitioner to perform statistical inference on massive datasets. Our approach can also handle datasets too massive to fit on any single data repository. 相似文献
Even though most singers and other professional voice users are encouraged to relax to optimize the quality and performance of the voice, observations of acclaimed singers, actors, and public speakers would suggest otherwise. These successful vocal performers appear to be energized, actively working and exerting themselves. For this reason, a study was designed to explore the role of exertion in maintaining and optimizing the voice. The focus of this study was the possibility that increasing exertion could improve the voice and might result in the voice user experiencing less strain and, therefore, more comfort and ease. Ten subjects were recorded before and after completing a workshop to develop their skills with precise use of effort involving selected parameters of the larynx and vocal tract. Self-reported ratings of degree of exertion and level of comfort were collected at the time of each recording. The preworkshop and postworkshop recordings were analyzed acoustically and perceptually to compare the degree of noise in the signal that corresponds with the efficiency of the voice. The results indicated that, for all subjects, the quality of the voice improved with an increase in the use of specific exertion. Furthermore, ease and comfort also significantly increased. 相似文献
Several functionalized benzo[1,2-b:3,4-b':5,6-d']trithiophenes have been synthesized and characterized. The fully planar and highly electron-rich material shows great promise as the donor constituent in donor-acceptor type copolymers for use in organic electronics. As a proof of concept, a copolymer with the electron acceptor, 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole, has been prepared. Side-chain modifications have been employed to adjust both the electron-rich character of the monomer and the solubility and processability of the polymer. 相似文献
