Summary Observation of fluorescence reactions on TLC plates is a valuable additional tool within the scope of screening procedures for many toxicologically relevant substances commonly encountered in clinical- and forensic-toxicological analysis. The reactions are based on native fluorescence without any treatment and on reactions obtained with an approved derivatization procedure. Due to the enormous sensitivity of the fluorescence detection, the method is also applicable to very low concentrations and small amounts of biological materials. A series of poly(norborn-2-ene) (poly-NBE), poly(7-oxanorborne-2-ene-5,6-dicarboxylic acid) (poly-ONDCA), as well as poly(norborn-2-ene-co-7-oxanorborne-2-ene-5,6-dicarboxylic acid) (poly-NBE-co-ONDCA) based silica supports were prepared via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) using both coating and grafting techniques. Poly-NBE-grafted and poly-NBE-coated supports were used for the reversed-phase separation of phenols; poly-NBE, poly-ONDCA as well as poly-NBE-co-ONDCA-grafted supports were used for comparative studies on the separation of a series of anilines and lutidines. As expected, grafted supports possess superior separation capabilities compared to their coated analogues. Compared to pure poly-NBE- and poly-ONDCA-grafted stationary phases, supports consisting of poly-NBE-co-ONDCA block-copolymers possess both hydrophobic and ion-exchange sites and represent optimum stationary phases for the separation of isomeric basic analytes.  相似文献

The kinetics of 82 reactions of benzhydrylium ions (Ar(2)CH(+)) with n-nucleophiles has been determined at 20 degrees C. Evaluation by the equation log k = s(N + E) delivered the reactivity parameters N and s for 15 n-nucleophiles (water, hydroxide, amines, etc.). All nucleophiles except water (s = 0.89) and (-)SCH(2)CO(2)(-) (s = 0.43) have closely similar slope parameters (0.52 < s < 0.71), indicating that the reactions of most n-nucleophiles approximately follow Ritchie's constant selectivity relationship (s = constant). The different slope parameter for water is recognized as the main reason for the deviations from the Ritchie relationship reported in 1986. Correlation analysis of the rate constants for the reactions of benzhydrylium ions with the n-nucleophiles (except H(2)O) on the basis of Ritchie's equation log k = N(+) + log k(0) yields a statistically validated set of N(+) parameters for Ritchie-type nucleophiles and log k(0) parameters for benzhydrylium ions. The N and s parameters of the n-nucleophiles derived from their reactions with benzhydrylium ions were combined with literature data for the reactions of these nucleophiles with other carbocations to yield electrophilicity parameters E for tritylium, tropylium, and xanthylium ions. While the E parameters for tropylium and xanthylium ions appear to be generally applicable, it is demonstrated that the E parameters of tritylium ions can be used to predict reactivities toward n-nucleophiles as well as hydride transfer rate constants but not rates for the reactions of tritylium ions with pi-nucleophiles. It is now possible to merge the large data sets determined by Ritchie and others with our kinetic data and present a nucleophilicity scale comprising n- (e.g., amines), pi- (e.g., alkenes and arenes), and sigma-nucleophiles (e.g., hydrides).  相似文献

A lattice spin-fermion model for diluted magnetic semiconductors (DMS) is investigated numerically, improving on previously used mean-field approximations. Curie temperatures are obtained varying the Mn spin x and hole n densities, and the impurity-hole exchange J in units of the hop-ping t. Optimal values are found in the subtle intermediate regime between itinerant and localized carriers. At intermediate and large J/t, a "clustered" state is observed above the Curie temperature and ferromagnetism is suppressed. Formal analogies between DMS and manganites are discussed.  相似文献

To evaluate the potential of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in detection and quantification of mitral regurgitation, 26 pts. with echocardiographically or angiographically documented mitral regurgitation were examined using a 0.5 Tesla superconducting magnet. In each patient a multislice-multiphase study in a sagittal-coronal double angulated projection (four-chamber view equivalent) was performed to assess left and right ventricular volumes, ejection fraction and regurgitant fraction. Additionally a blood flow sensitive cine-study (fast field echo: FFE) was done to visualize direction and area of regurgitant jet. MRI data were compared with quantitative and qualitative assessment of mitral regurgitation by angiography, 2D echocardiography, Doppler sonography and color flow mapping. Using the FFE mode MRI was able to detect the regurgitant jet as a typical signal loss within the left atrium in all patients. The ratio of regurgitant jet area/left atrium area as determined by MRI showed a correlation with a comparable ratio from color Doppler sonography of R = 0.87 (p < 0.001). There was also good agreement in semiquantitative grading of mitral regurgitation between MRI and angiography (R = 0.77, p < 0.001). The determination of left and right ventricular stroke volume allowed the calculation of the regurgitant fraction, which showed a correlation with invasively determined regurgitation fraction of R = 0.84 (p < 0.001). These data provide additional information that MRI may be useful as a noninvasive technique to detect and quantify mitral regurgitation.  相似文献

The crossover in kinetic roughening of thin films from a particle-character-dominated regime to continuous growth behavior has been observed in this work. This has been accomplished by atomic force microscopy investigations of pulsed laser deposited amorphous organic films with thicknesses ranging from several nanometers to more than 4 microm. The early-stage random-deposition-like processes end once a closed layer is formed, which grows without saturation on the characteristic length scales. In addition, the influence of oblique film deposition has been examined and interpreted.  相似文献

We report on the temperature and electric field strength dependence of the conductivity of iodine-doped polyacetylene in the metallic regime. The experimental results are discussed in terms of Sheng model of fluctuation induced tunneling and characteristic dimensions of the tunneling zones between fibres are deduced from a fit between this theory and our experiments.  相似文献
