We study the probabilities with which chordal Schramm–Loewner evolutions (SLE) visit small neighborhoods of boundary points. We find formulas for general chordal SLE boundary visiting probability amplitudes, also known as SLE boundary zig-zags or order refined SLE multi-point Green’s functions on the boundary. Remarkably, an exact answer can be found to this important SLE question for an arbitrarily large number of marked points. The main technique employed is a spin chain–Coulomb gas correspondence between tensor product representations of a quantum group and functions given by Dotsenko–Fateev type integrals. We show how to express these integral formulas in terms of regularized real integrals, and we discuss their numerical evaluation. The results are universal in the sense that apart from an overall multiplicative constant the same formula gives the amplitude for many different formulations of the SLE boundary visit problem. The formula also applies to renormalized boundary visit probabilities for interfaces in critical lattice models of statistical mechanics: we compare the results with numerical simulations of percolation, loop-erased random walk, and Fortuin–Kasteleyn random cluster models at Q = 2 and Q = 3, and find good agreement.  相似文献

We consider an inverse problem for a Lorentzian spacetime (Mg), and show that time measurements, that is, the knowledge of the Lorentzian time separation function on a submanifold \(\Sigma \subset M\) determine the \(C^\infty \)-jet of the metric in the Fermi coordinates associated to \(\Sigma \). We use this result to study the global determination of the spacetime (Mg) when it has a real-analytic structure or is stationary and satisfies the Einstein-scalar field equations. In addition to this, we require that (Mg) is geodesically complete modulo scalar curvature singularities. The results are Lorentzian counterparts of extensively studied inverse problems in Riemannian geometry—the determination of the jet of the metric and the boundary rigidity problem. We give also counterexamples in cases when the assumptions are not valid, and discuss inverse problems in general relativity.  相似文献

The boundary element spline collocation method is studied for the time-fractional diffusion equation in a bounded two-dimensional domain. We represent the solution as the single layer potential which leads to a Volterra integral equation of the first kind. We discretize the boundary integral equation with the spline collocation method on uniform meshes both in spatial and time variables. In the stability analysis we utilize the Fourier analysis technique developed for anisotropic pseudodifferential equations. We prove that the collocation solution is quasi-optimal under some stability condition for the mesh parameters. We have to assume that the mesh parameter in time satisfies (ht=c h\frac2a)(h_t=c h^{\frac{2}{\alpha}}), where (h) is the spatial mesh parameter.  相似文献

We analyze a field experiment where ambient air is injected into the soil during the summer and extracted again during the winter. A multiphase model accounting for the conductive transport as well as the convective transport with the moving liquid and gas phases is used along with a more simplified single-phase model where the convective transport is due to the gas alone. The latter model also accounts for subzero wintertime temperatures. The multiphase model captures well both the seasonal variations and the actual test sequence, the main calibration being in the adjustment of medium permeabilities based on the observed pressure responses. The effect of the injection pump on the temperature and humidity of the injection air needs to be known accurately. Taking into account the humidity of the injection air explicitly instead of using humidity-corrected enthalpy values also has an effect. The effect of various humidity and specific enthalpy assumptions is of the order of 1–1.5°C, while ignoring the wintertime subzero temperatures has an effect of 1–2°C. These differences are of the same order of magnitude as the heterogeneity-introduced differences in field data. Using the simplified single-phase model typically appears to cause a difference of 1–2°C, but can yield an even higher deviation of the order of 3–4°C.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations are reported for the conformational potential energy surfaces of chloromethyl formate and fluoromethyl formate at minimal basis set level. The halomethyl group is shown to lie Z to the carbonyl group. A plateau on the potential energy surface demonstrates that the halomethyl group can rotate freely. The halogen atom therefore moves from an antiperiplanar (ap) to a synclinal (sp) position with respect to the carbonyl group. The effects on IR spectra and dipole moments are discussed.  相似文献

We find a set of necessary and sufficient conditions under which the weight ${w: E \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{+}}$ on the graph G = (V, E) can be extended to a pseudometric ${d : V \times V \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{+}}$ . We describe the structure of graphs G for which the set ${\mathfrak{M}_{w}}$ of all such extensions contains a metric whenever w is strictly positive. Ordering ${\mathfrak{M}_{w}}$ by the pointwise order, we have found that the posets $({\mathfrak{M}_{w}, \leqslant)}$ contain the least elements ρ 0,w if and only if G is a complete k-partite graph with ${k \, \geqslant \, 2}$ . In this case the symmetric functions ${f : V \times V \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{+}}$ , lying between ρ 0,w and the shortest-path pseudometric, belong to ${\mathfrak{M}_{w}}$ for every metrizable w if and only if the cardinality of all parts in the partition of V is at most two.  相似文献

This paper studies the use of randomized Quasi-Monte Carlo methods (RQMC) in sample approximations of stochastic programs. In numerical integration, RQMC methods often substantially reduce the variance of sample approximations compared to Monte Carlo (MC). It seems thus natural to use RQMC methods in sample approximations of stochastic programs. It is shown, that RQMC methods produce epi-convergent approximations of the original problem. RQMC and MC methods are compared numerically in five different portfolio management models. In the tests, RQMC methods outperform MC sampling substantially reducing the sample variance and bias of optimal values in all the considered problems.  相似文献

This paper explores and ties together three themes. The first is to establish regularity of a metric tensor, on a manifold with boundary, on which there are given Ricci curvature bounds, on the manifold and its boundary, and a Lipschitz bound on the mean curvature of the boundary. The second is to establish geometric convergence of a (sub)sequence of manifolds with boundary with such geometrical bounds and also an upper bound on the diameter and a lower bound on injectivity and boundary injectivity radius, making use of the first part. The generalized trigonometric functions occur as an eigenfunction of the Dirichlet problem for the one-dimensional pp-Laplacian. The generalized hyperbolic functions are defined similarly. Some classical inequalities for trigonometric and hyperbolic functions, such as Mitrinovi?–Adamovi?’s inequality, Lazarevi?’s inequality, Huygens-type inequalities, Wilker-type inequalities, and Cusa–Huygens-type inequalities, are generalized to the case of generalized functions.  相似文献
