We fabricated waveguides in Pr:SrAl(12)O(19) crystals by direct femtosecond laser writing. The propagation losses were calculated to be as low as 0.16 dB/cm at a wavelength of 633 nm. Laser oscillation in a diode-pumped waveguide at a wavelength of 643.5 nm was realized. The output power of the waveguide laser was 28.1 mW at a slope efficiency of 8%. 相似文献

The photophysical properties of a series of structurally related 4-aminophthalimides and the corresponding 5-aminophthalic hydrazides (luminols) are reported. Absorption, steady-state, and time-resolved fluorescence spectra of luminols exhibited substitution, solvent, and pH dependence. Singlet lifetimes have been determined by time-resolved laser flash spectroscopy. UV spectra in gas phase and DMSO solution were calculated by TD-DFT which revealed the existence of two low-energy excited singlet states with strong pH-sensitivity. 相似文献

We study dc charge and spin transport through a weakly coupled quantum dot, driven by a nonadiabatic periodic change of system parameters. We generalize the model of Tien and Gordon to simultaneously oscillating voltages and tunnel couplings. When applying our general result to the two-parameter charge pumping in quantum dots, we find interference effects between the oscillations of the voltage and tunnel couplings. We show that these interference effects may explain recent measurements in metallic islands. Furthermore, we discuss the possibility to electrically pump a spin current in presence of a static magnetic field. 相似文献

The shallow‐water equations on the sphere are compressible Navier‐Stokes equations that describe hydrostatic atmospheric dynamics. An adaptive Lagrange‐Galerkin method is applied on the spherical domain to develop a simplified global atmospheric model. In this paper, four sensor types are presented for quantitative measurements in an ultrasonic cleaning vessel: (1) a hydrophone to measure spectral components of the sound field; (2) an aluminium foil technique as a model process for erosion; (3) a test tube filled with a solution of luminol to measure the emission of light; and (4) a test tube filled with potassium iodide solution to measure the oxidation of iodide. Thus a broad range of diverse cavitation effects is covered. The quantities were measured in dependence on three parameters: the electrical input power of the transducers, the temperature and the O2 concentration of the water. To ensure constant environmental conditions, a flow system was built up which continuously exchanges the water in the vessel. The comparability of the data measured in subsequent measurement cycles is discussed and the influence of the different sensor types on the cavitation field is considered.
