In this work the mechanism of L-lactide polymerization promoted by NSSN zirconium complexes was investigated through DFT methods with the aim to understand as the electronic and steric features of the ligand affect the energy reaction. It was observed that the rate determining step of the process is the opening of the L-lactide ring and that by increasing the steric hindrance, evaluated by changing geometric parameters and topographic steric maps, or the electron-withdrawing properties of the ligand, the corresponding energy barrier increases. On the other hand, calculations foresee that a small and electron-releasing substituent on the nitrogen atom of the ligand, such as the methyl group, is desirable in order to obtain NSSN zirconium based catalysts with improved activity in the ROP of the L-lactide.  相似文献

We describe a new class of water soluble metallosurfactant molecules based on luminescent neutral iridium(III) complexes. The compounds possess an alkyl chain terminated with a negatively charged group, a sulphate. Due to their amphiphilic nature they assemble in aggregates in water and their photophysical properties, as well as the morphological characterization of the assemblies are presented. In particular, UV-Vis absorption, steady-state and time-resolved emission spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering and scanning electron microscopy techniques have been employed towards the analysis of the assemblies in different media. Comparison with the single components shows that the aggregates have very different photophysical properties. Importantly, the change in colour upon self-assembly is a remarkable feature which could be used for the design of probes which can change properties in different environments.  相似文献

To overcome the lack of in vivo stability of certain peptides used in cancer treatment and to increase their retention time in the extracellular matrix of the target tissue, the anti-angiogenic WHLPFKC sequence is synthesised at the uppermost branching generation of a poly(ε-lysine) dendron. The root of these dendrons is designed to interact preferentially with macromolecules of the extracellular matrix, whilst the uppermost branching generation of the dendron increased the exposed density of the bioactive peptide. Bioactivity testing of the blockers is performed on HUVECs. The results show that the dendron tethered with VEGF blockers was still able to inhibit proliferation and angiogenesis. Their relatively larger structure did not prevent the interaction with VEGF.  相似文献

A study on polythiophene coated microelectrodes is reported, the goal being that of checking the capability of these electrochemical systems to work in low conductive media. The possibility of electrochemically p-doping the polymer in the presence of very low concentrations or even in the absence of supporting electrolyte in the solution is ascertained, opening the way to the use of similar systems in pure solvent media. This result is obtained in such conditions that the presence of residual charges--and corresponding counterions--trapped inside the film coating can be reasonably hypothesised.  相似文献

Aldol reactions of titanium enolates of N-acyl-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones with ethyl trifluoropyruvate occurred with low to good stereoselectivity depending on the steric properties of the N-acyl group. The integration of nanoscale processes and devices demands fabrication routes involving rapid, cost-effective steps, preferably carried out under ambient conditions. The realization of the metal/organic semiconductor interface is one of the most demanding steps of device fabrication, since it requires mechanical and/or thermal treatments which increment costs and are often harmful in respect to the active layer. Here, we provide a microscopic analysis of a room temperature, electroless process aimed at the deposition of a nanostructured metallic silver layer with controlled coverage atop the surface of single crystals and thin films of organic semiconductors. This process relies on the reaction of aqueous AgF solutions with the nonwettable crystalline surface of donor-type organic semiconductors. It is observed that the formation of a uniform layer of silver nanoparticles can be accomplished within 20 min contact time. The electrical characterization of two-terminal devices performed before and after the aforementioned treatment shows that the metal deposition process is associated with a redox reaction causing the p-doping of the semiconductor.  相似文献

This communication describes a simple, rapid and cost effective method of embedding a conductive and flexible material within microfluidic devices as a means to realize uniform electric fields within cellular microenvironments. Fluidic channels and electrodes are fabricated by traditional soft-lithography in conjunction with chemical etching of PDMS. Devices can be deformable (thus allowing for a combination of electro-mechanical stimulation), they are made from inexpensive materials and easily assembled by hand; this method is thus accessible to a wide range of laboratories and budgets.  相似文献

[2.2]Paracyclophanes, incorporating functional groups in the aliphatic bridges, suitable for elimination to give [2.2]paracyclophanedienes, are synthesized through a novel approach. The Electron Spin Noise Scanning Tunnelling Microscopy (ESN-STM) technique is one of the most promising techniques detecting one single spin, combining the spatial resolution of the STM with the ability of spectral resolution and spin manipulation of Electron Spin Resonance. After its first observation, the effectiveness of this technique has been tested by different groups to study the properties of small aggregates or single organic radical molecules.We report on the ongoing ESN-STM study on nano-aggregates of tris(2,4,6-thrichlorophenyl)methyl radical (TTM) derivatives, whose possibility to be used as wires, switches and memory devices has already been investigated in bulk. After deposition on Au(111), TTM radicals preserved their magnetism. To treat the collected noise data we followed a statistical approach; some peculiar characteristics of this analysis will be addressed.  相似文献
