This study presents an alternative to simple estimation of parametric fitting models used in thermal analysis. The addressed problem consists in performing an alternative optimization method to fit thermal analysis curves, specifically TG curves and their first derivatives. This proposal consists in estimating the optimal parameters corresponding to fitting kinetic models applied to thermogravimetric (TG) curves, using evolutionary algorithms: differential evolution (DE), simulated annealing and covariance matrix adapting evolutionary strategy. This procedure does not need to include a vector with the initial values of the parameters, as is currently required. Despite their potential benefits, the application of these methods is by no means usual in the context of thermal analysis curve’s estimation. Simulated TG curves are obtained and fitted using a generalized logistic mixture model, where each logistic component represents a thermal degradation process. The simulation of TG curves in four different scenarios taking into account the extent of processes overlapping allows us to evaluate the final results and thus to validate the proposed procedure: two degradation processes non-overlapped simulated using two generalized logistics, two processes overlapped, four processes non-overlapped and four processes overlapped two by two. The mean square error function is chosen as objective function and the above algorithms have been applied separately and together, i.e., taking the final solution of the DE algorithm is the initial solution of the remaining. The results show that the evolutionary algorithms provide a good solution for adjusting simulated TG curves, better than that provided by traditional methods.  相似文献

A template 2:2:4 condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-methyl-phenol, triethylenetetramine and zinc acetate gave rise to the crystallisation of [{Zn4(H4L1)(OAc)4}{Zn(OAc)3(H2O)}(OAc)] · 7H2O (1 · 7H2O), being H6L1 a macrocyclic diphenolate Schiff base ligand. Changing some operation conditions, other template reactions yielded dinuclear complexes of the type Zn2(Ln)(OAc) · xH2O, where H3Ln (n = 2, 3) are podant triphenolate Schiff base ligands derived from a 3:1 condensation of the corresponding 2,6-diformyl-4-alkyl-phenol (alkyl = Me or But, respectively) and triethylenetetramine. After recrystallisation, these two latter complexes could be X-ray characterised as Zn2(L2)(OAc) · 1.25H2O · 0.5MeCN (2 · 1.25H2O · 0.5MeCN), and Zn2(L3)(OAc) (3). Furthermore, after addition of a 3:1 molar ratio of 2-amino-4-methyl-phenol to 3, this underwent imidazolidine hydrolysis and a double imine condensation, yielding Zn2(L4)(OAc)(HOAc) · 2H2O (4 · 2H2O), where H3L4 is an acyclic pentadentate Schiff base derived from the 1:2 condensation of 2,6-diformyl-4-tert-butyl-phenol and 2-amino-4-methyl-phenol.  相似文献

The use of a solid electrode in routine analytical work is proposed as a good alternative for electroanalytical detection. The performance of the electrode for oxidative voltammetry was studied for the model compound, catechol. Some theoretical aspects of the preparation and features of the PVC-graphite composite electrode are shown. A protocol has been described for its construction and general advice for the appropriate use. Quality control activities were designed to check the performance of the electrode. The free online trading of herbal mixtures useful for various purposes facilitates the circulation of dangerous herbs or plant parts. This is the case, for example, of the illegal trade in seeds of Peganum harmala (Pgh), which contain alkaloids capable of inhibiting monoamine oxidase (MAO) and are therefore used in hallucinogenic preparations, such as the psychedelic drink ayahuasca. The precise identification of these seeds and their distinction from other very similar but not dangerous seeds are necessary for forensic purposes and represents an advance in avoiding the adulteration of mixtures. In this work, we show the qualitative identification of Pgh seeds by optical and electron microscopy and the parallel development of a real-time qPCR test, which reveals, in a species-specific manner, the presence of Pgh DNA up to quantities lower than 1 pg. In addition to the species specificity and high sensitivity, the reaction accurately quantifies the presence of seeds or parts of seeds of Pgh in complex herbal mixtures, thus giving an indication of the danger or otherwise of the product.  相似文献

Flavonoids are a group of secondary metabolites derived from plant-based foods, and they offer many health benefits in different stages of several diseases. This review will focus on their effects on ion channels expressed in vascular smooth muscle during atherosclerosis. Since ion channels can be regulated by redox potential, it is expected that during the onset of oxidative stress-related diseases, ion channels present changes in their conductive activity, impacting the progression of the disease. A typical oxidative stress-related condition is atherosclerosis, which involves the dysfunction of vascular smooth muscle. We aim to present the state of the art on how redox potential affects vascular smooth muscle ion channel function and summarize if the benefits observed in this disease by using flavonoids involve restoring the ion channel activity.  相似文献
