Thermal dehydration and decomposition processes of some intercalation compounds were studied by simultaneous TG/DSC and evolved gas analysis (EGA). γ-Zirconium and γ-titanium phosphates were intercalated with 1,10-phenanthroline and subsequently reacted with copper ions to form the complex in situ. Reaction mechanisms for thermal decomposition of all the materials were investigated and proposed according to the mass losses recorded by TG and confirmed by EGA (TG-FTIR). The Ozawa-Flynn-Wall isoconversional method provided dependencies of activation energy on the degree of conversion. A “single point” model-free method was also applied using Kissinger equation and the derived results were compared to those of the former method. 相似文献

An investigation on the complex formation equilibria between divalent metal ions Me (with Me=Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Cd, and Pb) and phytic acid (H(12)L) is presented. Experiments were performed through a potentiometric methodology by measuring, at 25 degrees C, the proton and, in some cases (Cu(2+), Cd(2+), and Pb(2+)), also the metal ion activity at equilibrium in solutions containing, besides the metal and the ligand, 3 M NaClO(4) as the ionic medium. Unhydrolyzed solutions of the metal ion at millimolar concentration levels were titrated with solutions of about 10 mM sodium phytate, until the formation of a solid phase took place (always at pH approximately 2.5, except in the case of Cu(2+), which formed soluble complexes up to pH approximately 3.3). Coulometry was employed to produce very dilute solutions of either Cu(2+), Cd(2+), or Pb(2+) of accurately known composition. The emf data were explained by assuming, in the acidity interval explored, the formation of the complexes of general stoichiometry MeH(5)L(5-) and Me(2)H(3)L(5-). Coordination compounds in the solid state were also synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, thermal analysis, and ICP spectroscopy. The solids had a general stoichiometry Me(6)H (t)LCl (t). x H(2)O, with the following t and x values for each metal investigated: Me ( t; x) = Mn (4; 2); Co (4; 2); Ni (4; 2); Cu (2; 2.5); Zn (2; 1); Sn (6; 6). 相似文献

Egg-pasta is a very popular food in Italy and its appreciation is growing in Europe and in the United States. In this work,
the bound water has been demonstrated to be a quality discriminant parameter to distinguish the low-temperature dried egg-pasta
with respect to the high-temperature dried egg-pasta. By the thermoanalytical profiles (TG and DTG), this systematic study
scientifically proves the differences induced by the drying process on the egg-pasta samples: the low temperature dried egg-pasta
(produced by the ‘Entroterra’ company, brand ‘La Pasta di Camerino’) shows the systematic lower amount of bound water when
compared to other brand, high-temperature dried egg-pasta. The difference is constant either before or after the cooking process.

In this paper, we present an experimental setup to study photoionization of atoms and molecules using the high-order harmonic radiation generated by a highly non-linear process. We report on the characteristics of this table-top experimental apparatus showing also the results of the photoionization of krypton gas, by the use of the ninth order harmonic of fs Ti : S laser, observed both in the electron spectrum and in the mass spectrum. 相似文献

The synthesis, the characterization, and the thermal decomposition of the dioxouranium(VI) ternary complex of formula Na4(UO2)2(OH)4(C2O4)2, has been studied. The identification of the compound was performed by chemical analysis and by infrared spectrometry. Thermal decomposition of the compound occurs in several steps due to the decomposition of the salt to Na2O and UO3 oxides. The stoichiometry of the steps, hypothesized by means of the thermodynamic and kinetic parameters, is confirmed by the evolved gas analysis studied by FTIR spectrometer coupled to TG/DSC apparatus. INTRODUCTION Combining thermal analysis (TA) with gas-analykal techniques significantly enhances the possibilities for correctly interpreting the mechanism of thermally induced reactions, which involve the formation of gaseous species. Several techniques can be used for evolved gas analysis (EGA), ranging from simple, non-specific detection to the more elaborate multidimensional/multifunctional methods, such as gas chromatography (GC), infrared spectroscopy (IR) or mass spectrometry (MS), for gas detection and analysis [1]. While the GC methods were used as early as the 1960s [2], EGA by FTIR was described much later and was used for the analysis of pyrolytic and combustion products. Presently, there are several commercial FTIR systems available that can be coupled to a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), and a broad range of applications have been investigated by this important hyphenated technique [3]. 相似文献

Imidazole ring coordination compounds are very useful models to better understand the coordination properties and the reaction mechanisms of biologically important systems. On the basis of previous work, new Co(II)-, Ni(II)- and Cu(II)-4(5)-aminoimidazole-5(4)-carboxamide coordination compounds have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis and IR spectroscopies. Their thermal stability was determined by differential scanning calorimetry and by thermogravimetry, and the decomposition mechanisms were investigated by evolved gas analysis (EGA). 相似文献
