A method is proposed for the flow-injection determination of ascorbic acid (0.1–40 μg ml?1). Iodine is generated in the flow system as triiodide ion or the triiodide/starch complex giving a steady spectrophotometric signal at 350 or 580 nm, respectively; inverse peaks caused by ascorbic acid samples are measured. The method is applied to the determination of ascorbic acid in a fruit juice, jam and vitamin C preparation. 相似文献

We report on the room-temperature spectroscopic properties and continuous-wave laser operation of a new Yb:LuVO4 crystal. The peak absorption cross section for the pi-polarization is 8.42 x 10(-20) cm2 at 985 nm, and the stimulated emission cross section at 1020 nm is 1.03 x 10(-20) cm2. An output power of 0.36 W at 1041 nm was obtained with a slope efficiency of 47% by use of Ti:sapphire laser pumping. This study focuses on the analysis of the sensitivity of UV erythemal radiation (UVER) to variations in the total ozone column (TOC) under different sky conditions at Granada (southeastern Spain). The sensitivity is studied both in relative terms by means of the Radiation Amplification Factor (RAF) and in absolute terms using the Ozone Efficiency (OE). These two variables are determined for diverse sky conditions characterized by the cloud cover information given by a sky camera (in oktas) and the cloud optical depth (COD) estimated from global solar radiation measurements. As expected, in absolute terms, the TOC variations cause substantially smaller UVER changes during completely overcast situations than during cloud‐free cases. For instance, the OE (SZA = 30°, TOC = 290 DU) decreases from 0.68 mW m?2 per unit of TOC (0 oktas) to 0.50 mW m?2 per unit of TOC (8 oktas). However, the opposite is observed when the analysis is performed in relative terms. Thus, the RAF (determined for SZA cases below 80°) increases from 1.1 for cloud‐free cases (0 oktas) to 1.4 for completely overcast situations (8 oktas). This opposite behavior is also found when both RAF and OE are analyzed as functions of COD. Thus, while the OE strongly decreases with increasing COD, the RAF increases as COD increases. 相似文献

Novel photoactive (metallo)porphyrins were synthesised and characterised. When irradiated with light at a wavelength greater than 600 nm, these porphyrins act as photosensitisers and show high cytotoxicity towards two different human cancer cell lines with IC50 values down to 0.4 μM . A paramagnetic copper(II) porphyrin is the first photosensitiser to display excellent phototoxicity, explained by the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spin trapping of hydroxy radicals and experimentally confirmed by the discovery of elevated levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) inside A2780 cells after irradiation with red light. This finding indicates that paramagnetic compounds should be considered for photodynamic therapy (PDT). Furthermore, an additive effect of cisplatin and a zinc porphyrin, both at subtherapeutic concentrations of 0.22 μm, was observed. 相似文献

A short and stereoselective synthesis of a (+/-)-BCDE C-secolimonid model insect antifeedant related to ohchinolide and nimbolidin was accomplished in 13 (30% overall yield) and 15 (30% overall yield) steps, respectively, from ethyl drimanate. The key steps are the torquoselective electrocyclization of the divinyl ketone 6, induced by perchloric acid, and the stereoselective rearrangement of the hydroxy lactone 12, inspired in a biosynthetic proposal. In this paper a new version of the DHN (Dashen–Hasslacher–Neveu) formula, which is used to compute the one-loop order kink mass correction in (1+1)-dimensional scalar field theory models, is constructed. The new expression is written in terms of the spectral data coming from the supersymmetric partner operator of the second-order small kink fluctuation operator and allows us to compute the kink mass quantum shift in new models for which this calculation was out of reach by means of the old formula. 相似文献

We continue the discussion of error estimates for the numerical analysis of Neumann boundary control problems we started in
Casas et al. (Comput. Optim. Appl. 31:193–219, 2005). In that paper piecewise constant functions were used to approximate the control and a convergence of order O(h) was obtained. Here, we use continuous piecewise linear functions to discretize the control and obtain the rates of convergence
in L
2(Γ). Error estimates in the uniform norm are also obtained. We also discuss the approach suggested by Hinze (Comput. Optim.
Appl. 30:45–61, 2005) as well as the improvement of the error estimates by making an extra assumption over the set of points corresponding to
the active control constraints. Finally, numerical evidence of our estimates is provided.

The supersymmetric approach is used to analyse a class of two-dimensional quantum systems with periodic potentials. In particular, the method of SUSY-separation of variables allowed us to find a part of the energy spectra and the corresponding wave functions (partial solvability) for several models. These models are not amenable to conventional separation of variables, and they can be considered as two-dimensional generalizations of Lamé, associated Lamé, and trigonometric Razavy potentials. All these models have the symmetry operators of fourth order in momenta, and one of them (the Lamé potential) obeys the property of self-isospectrality. 相似文献

A procedure for the simultaneous determination of long-chain aliphatic aldehydes, and aliphatic and triterpenic waxes in virgin olive oils is described. A fraction containing these compounds was isolated from the oil using solid-phase extraction on silica-gel cartridges. The fraction was analyzed by capillary GC on 35%-dimethyl-65%-diphenylpolysiloxane phase using on-column injection. In extra virgin olive oils, the long-chain aliphatic aldehydes with even carbon atom numbers from C22 to C30 were identified by comparison of retention times and mass spectra with those of synthesized standards. The concentration of total aldehydes ranged from 20.2 to 108.0 mg/kg-n-hexacosanal being the most abundant aldehyde. The determination of aliphatic waxes was achieved with similar or better precision than that of the EU official methods. 相似文献
