The dynamical oxidation processes of Pt-skin layers on Pt(3)Co were investigated in situ and in real-time by time-resolved X-ray absorption spectroscopy combined with electrochemical measurements. The structure of Watson?CCrick type guanine?Ccytosine (G?CC) base pair has been studied by classical hybrid Monte Carlo (HMC) and quantum path integral hybrid Monte Carlo (PIHMC) simulations on the semiempirical PM6 potential energy surface. For the three NH?X hydrogen-bonded moieties, the intramolecular NH bonds are found systematically longer while the H?X distance shorter in the PIHMC simulation than in the HMC simulation. We found that the hydrogen bonded length N?X correlates with the H?X distance, but not with the NH distance. A correlation is also between the neighboring hydrogen bonds in the G?CC base pair. 相似文献

We have developed highly reliable etched-mirror laser diodes using a dry etching method. The lasers without facet-coating have been operating stably over 2500 h under automatic-power control (APC) at a power of 3 mW/facet at 50°C. The gain-guided laser diodes with a cylindrical-mirror cavity (CMC) have coaxial mirrors and a fan-shaped stripe structure. By decreasing the curvature radius of the inner facet or increasing the stripe width of the inner facet, the beam waist parallel to the junction plane can be moved outside of the laser diode, while the beam waist perpendicular to the junction plane stops at the mirror facet. A particular CMC laser has a low astigmatism of 4.1 μm and a low relative intensity of noise (RIN) less than –134 dB/Hz at 4 mW under 0–1% optical feedback without high frequency current superposition. 相似文献

Highly crosslinked polymer networks were characterized in terms of structural differences based on the crosslinked network structures with their chromatographic molecular retentivity for some polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Because PAHs and some sterically bulky solutes were used in the chromatographic characterization, tiny differences in the crosslinked polymer networks were observed in terms of the chromatographic molecular retentivity. Ethylene dimethacrylate afforded molecular retentivity for anthracene, and this recognition ability changed with the polymerization time. In addition, 1,4‐butanediol dimethacrylate afforded molecular retentivity for pyrene, and this retentivity was larger than that for anthracene. Hyaluronic acid and chondroitin were successfully synthesized as representative molecules of glucosaminoglycans and galactosaminoglycans found in a glycosaminoglycan family via enzymatic polymerization catalyzed by testicular hyaluronidases. A newly designed N-acetylhyalobiuronate oxazoline derivative with a β-D -glucuronyl-(1→3)-N-acetyl-D -glucosamine disaccharide structure served as a transition-state analogue substrate monomer for the enzyme, giving rise to artificial hyaluronic acid in 52% yields with a number-average molecular weight of 1.35 × 104 through ring-opening polyaddition in a perfect regioselective and stereoselective manner. A novel N-acetylchondrosine oxazoline derivative with a β-D -glucuronyl-(1→3)-N-acetyl-D -galactosamine disaccharide structure also acted as a transition-state analogue substrate monomer for the enzyme, yielding artificial chondroitin in 35% yields with a number-average molecular weight of 2.5 × 103. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Abstract— We determined the structure and site of fatty acid incorporated in octopus rhodopsin using a combination of fluorescence label and enzymatic cleavage methods in conjunction with fast-atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectrometry. A single peptide containing two adjacent cysteines, Cys337 and Cys338, was successfully isolated using the fluorescence from a dye conjugated to Cys345. The FAB mass spectrometric analysis of the peptide (323phe-340 phe) revealed that two palmitoyl groups are linked to Cys337 and Cys338 via thioester bonds in octopus rhodopsin as in bovine rhodopsin. 相似文献
