AES and EELS spectra have been measured on clean and oxidized chromium surfaces. Auger peaks at 31.0 and 44.0 eV of the oxide are attributed to cross transitions between chromium and oxygen: {M2,3(Cr)V(Cr)V(O)} and {M1(Cr)L1(O)V(Cr)} respectively. Core loss features are consistent with valence band structure with a newly observed loss peak at 41.1 eV for the oxidized surface being ascribed to a core exciton with binding energy Eb = 1.6 eV. 相似文献

/Pyropheophytinato a/ iron/III/ chloride [Fe/Pyropheo-a/Cl] and /pyropheophytinato b/ iron/III/ chloride [Fe/Pyropheo-b/Cl] have been prepared and characterized by Mössbauer spectroscopy. The Mössbauer parameters of the iron/III/pyropheophytins are similar to those of iron/III/ porphyrins. A comparison of the quadrupole splittings for the iron/III/ pyropheophytins with those for the iron/III/ pheophytins suggests that the deviations of the cyclopentenone ring and the saturated pyrrole ring from the macrocyclic plane become smaller with the removal of the methoxycarbonyl group. 相似文献

In order to disclose the polarization mechanism of the tilted-foil technique, systematic experimental studies were performed through direct observations of the nuclear polarization of short-lived beta-emitters. The present studies concentrated on the mechanisms of the following processes: (1) production of atomic polarization in the beam–tilted-foil interaction, (2) polarization transfer between an atom and a nucleus, and (3) enhancement of nuclear polarization by the beam multi-tilted-foil interaction. The present results have confirmed the plausibility of a previous model in which the atomic-polarization process in the tilted-foil technique is attributed to the right–left asymmetry of the electron-capture process at the final surface of a tilted foil. The enhancement effect of nuclear polarization by the multi-tilted-foil technique could be consistently explained by a model proposed by Goldring and Niv. Further information on atomic processes is required to make a definite statement on hyperfine interactions and atomic configurations, which contribute to polarization transfer. 相似文献

The electric quadrupole moment of 17B and the g-factor of 17C were measured by using the fragmentation-induced nuclear polarization technique combined with the β-NMR method. The experimental
quadrupole moment of 17B is found strikingly close to that of the neutron closed-shell isotope 13B, indicating a strong quenching of the neutron E2 core-polarization charge. From the result obtained for the 17C g-factor, we can conclude that the ground-state spin-parity of 17C is 3/2+.
