Abstract

Although cyanide compounds are not incorporated in photographic processing solutions, false detection of cyanide ion is often encountered during the determination of total cyanide by various standardized methods such as ISO, ANSI and JIS. Various organic compounds and nitrogen compounds in the processing solutions were examined because of this false detection. The results suggest that hydrogen cyanide is formed by a reaction between these compounds during the distillation process for the separation of total cyanide, even though ISO, ANSI and JIS were used. The results support the following three mechanisms of cyanide formation involved in the process: (1) Hydroxylammonium salts reacts with another ingredient, formaldehyde, to form formaldoxime, which then decomposes to HCN. (2) Hydroxylammonium is oxidized by air to form nitrite ion, which subsequently reacts with organic compounds such as aminocarboxylic acids and aromatic amines (the colour-developing agent) to form HCN. (3) Potassium permanganate oxidizes aromatic amines to form HCN.  相似文献

The time‐dependent characteristics of firefly bioluminescence initiated by manual injection of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) into buffer solution containing luciferin (Ln), luciferase (Luc) and Mg2+ were measured with a resolution of 10 ms, and compared with those obtained by photolysis of caged ATP. The time course depends on pH; both rise and decay rates decrease when pH is lowered from 7.8 to 6.8. In contrast, the parameter λ in the kinetic formula related to diffusion of ATP is almost independent of pH. The pH dependence of the time course of bioluminescence can be explained by the same pH tendency as the rate of ATP binding at the active site of Luc. The time‐resolved spectra can be decomposed into two Gaussian components with maxima at 2.2 and 2.0 eV. At pH 7.8, the band at 2.2 eV is more intense than that at 2.0 eV for all three concentration conditions. At lower pH, the band at 2.2 eV becomes weaker than that at 2.0 eV. The intensity ratio of the 2.0 and 2.2 eV bands is constant for duration time of 600 s for both injection and photolysis experiments, and the above conclusions are unaffected by the concentration ratio [Ln]/[Luc].  相似文献

A high density mark edge recording method on a phase change rewritable disk is reported. A carrier-to-noise ratio of 55 dB for a mark length of 0.55,μm is obtained by using a 680 nm, NA 0.6 head and a phase change rewritable disk. In mark edge recording, it is necessary to record each mark in correct length. A new laser power modulation pattern is proposed. This pattern consists of a first-pulse, a multi-pulse chain and a last-pulse. Both positions of the first-ptilse and the last-pulse are movable. By adjusting these positions, a jitter, σ/Tw (Tw is window margin), is improved to 6.5% in high density EFM (Eight to Fourteen Modulation) recording of 0.4 μm/bit.  相似文献

A novel X-band CW EPR imaging has been developed using magnetic-field-gradient (MFG) spinning to obtain spatial distributions of electron paramagnetic species. Spinning MFG EPR imaging for 65 projection spectra required just 55 s while conventional imaging took 11 min 40 s, that is, the acquisition time for the new system is one order of magnitude shorter than that for conventional EPR imaging. Spinning MFG EPR imaging allows one to measure reconstructed images in an interactive manner where resolution and condition can be changed quickly.  相似文献

The quasi-particle approximation for the 4p4d state of the metallic elements around Cd breaks down because of very rapid 4p4d–4d3 super Coster–Kroning (sCK) decay of the 4p hole in the presence of the spectator 4d hole. Here the underbar is a hole. As a result, the 4p4d multiplet coupling breaks down. We can examine the presence or absence of the 4p4d multiplet by Auger-electron sCK-electron coincidence spectroscopy measurement of the 3d–4p4d–4d3 Auger-preceded sCK transitions. We collect the sCK-electrons in coincidence with the Auger-electrons of a selected kinetic energy (KE) and vice versa. If the multiplet coupling breaks down and does not exist, the coincidence sCK-electron (or Auger-electron) lines shift as much as the Auger-electron (or sCK-electron) analyzer's selected KE is varied. We can determine not only the three 4d-hole sCK final-state energy but also the presence or absence of the 4p4d multiplet by Auger-electron sCK-electron coincidence spectroscopy. The unique capability of the coincidence measurement by which one can determine the correlation between an Auger-electron and a sCK electron generated, respectively, by creation and annihilation of the same Auger two-hole final state is very useful, even when the quasi-particle approximation of the two-hole state breaks down.  相似文献

Photoinduced dissociation in the ultraviolet region has been investigated for Ag nF n-1 + cluster ions. Photodissociation spectrum of Ag2F+ in the energy of 3.8–5.6 eV exhibits several sharp bands corresponding to the transition to electronically excited states. In this dissociation, only the Ag2 + ion was observed as a fragment ion. Theoretical calculation indicates that the parent Ag2F+ ion has a linear Ag-F-Ag equilibrium geometries in the ground and excited states. Since conformational changes by excitation of bending vibration are necessary for the fragmentation of an F atom, this indicates that production of Ag2 + from Ag2F+ is a result of internal conversion and following conformational changes.  相似文献
