The quantitative analysis of ketones using DNPH is usually conducted in the presence of an acid catalyst. However, this method may cause an analytical error because 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones have both E- and Z-stereoisomers. Purified ketone-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone comprised only the E-isomer. However, under the addition of acid, both E- and Z-isomers were seen. In the case of 2-butanone-, 2-pentanone- and 2-hexanone-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone, the equilibrium Z/E isomer ratios were 0.20, 0.21 and 0.22, respectively. In addition, when trace water was added to the hydrazone derivatives in acetonitrile solution, the concentration of ketone derivatives were seen to decrease and the concentration of free DNPH was seen to increase. The decomposition rate of 2-butanone-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone was dependent on the concentration of acid-catalysis and reached an equilibrium state - carbonyl, DNPH, hydrazone-derivative and H2O - within 10 h at 0.1 mol L−1 phosphoric acid solution. The equilibrium constants of ketone-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones, [carbonyl] [DNPH]/[hydrazone] [H2O], were relatively large and ranged from 0.74 × 10−4 to 5.9 × 10−4. Hydrazone derivatives formed from 2-ketones such as 2-pentanone, 2-hexanone and 4-methyl-2-pentanone showed lower equilibrium constants than corresponding 3-ketones. Consequently, only a minimum concentration of catalytic acid must be added. The best method for the determination of ketone-2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones by HPLC or GC is to add phosphoric acid to both the standard reference solution and samples, forming a 0.001 mol L−1 acid solution, and analyze after 27 h.  相似文献

The highly crystalline β-chitin from diatom Thalassiosira weissflogii was esterified via intercalation with succinic anhydride followed by simple heating, maintaining the original crystalline order. Due to the introduced free carboxyl groups, the chitin ester crystal showed ion exchange ability for metal cations in aq. solution. Heavy metal cations such as Pb2+ bound to the β-chitin succinate gave characteristic X-ray diffraction patterns, indicating regular alignment of metal ions. Such materials represent a new type of organometallic architecture, possibly leading to novel functionalities.  相似文献

Direct reductive amination (DRA) using triethylsilane (TESH) and catalytic bismuth(III) chloride (BiCl3) is described for the first time. The use of TESH and BiCl3 provides easy handling, low cost, non-toxicity, and a mild Lewis acid activity, thereby meeting the demand for green and sustainable chemistry. The developed DRA is highly chemoselective and applicable to less-basic amines. The experimental results of this study revealed that the developed DRA could be catalyzed by BiCl3, which was gradually reduced to Bi(0) or bismuth with a low valency by TESH, but TESCl, Bi(0), and Bi(0) with TESCl catalyzed the DRA to some extent.  相似文献

A Pd-catalyzed method for the preparation of imidazolinium salts from the corresponding thioureas that could then be used for the synthesis of imidazolium and amidinium salts is described. A new all-aqueous process of the dissolution/regeneration of cellulose was developed. Cellulose was completely dissolved in the 54–60 wt% lithium bromide aqueous solutions in the temperature range of 110–130 °C within a dissolution time of 1 h. Then, the cellulose was directly regenerated from the solution by cooling down to approximately 70 °C and removing the salts with water, yielding a translucent gel. The cellulose gel was not significantly chemically decomposed even though some decrease of the degree of polymerization occurred during the dissolution/regeneration of cellulose. The X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrated that the dissolution/regeneration of cellulose induced a crystalline structural change from cellulose I to cellulose II, confirming the complete loss of the original cellulose structure. The cellulose gel had highly porous three-dimensional networks composed of fairly long cellulose fibrils interconnected with one another. The dissolution/regeneration of cellulose in aqueous lithium bromide solutions offers new and important options for cellulose-based materials.  相似文献

In this report, we describe an iron(III) complex containing a carbazole-based tridentate ligand that catalyzes highly enantioselective asymmetric epoxidation of (E)-alkenes at room temperature. The non-heme iron(III) complex has a five-coordinated trigonal-bipyramidal structure, and its two-electron oxidized state has the similar electronic structure as that of iron porphyrins.  相似文献

The highly stereoselective total synthesis of nemorosone via a new approach to the bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane-2,4,9-trione core which features intramolecular cyclopropanation of an α-diazo ketone, stereoselective alkylation at the C8 position, and regioselective ring-opening of cyclopropane is described. The homoleptic complex [Ag(L)(2)]PF(6) (1) and heteroleptic complexes [Ag(L)(L(Me))]BF(4) (2) and [Ag(L)(L(Et))]BF(4) (3) [L = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene, L(Me) = 1,2-bis[bis(2-methylphenyl)phosphino]benzene, and L(Et) = 1,2-bis[bis(2-ethylphenyl)phosphino]benzene] were synthesized and characterized. X-ray crystallography demonstrated that 1-3 possess tetrahedral structures. Photophysical studies and time-dependent density functional theory calculations of 1-3 revealed that alkyl substituents at the ortho positions of peripheral phenyl groups in the diphosphine ligands have a significant influence on the energy and intensity of phosphorescence of the complex in solution at room temperature. The results can be interpreted in terms of the geometric preferences of each complex in the ground and excited states. The homoleptic complex 1 exhibits weak orange phosphorescence in solution arising from its flat structure in the triplet state, while heteroleptic complexes 2 and 3 show strong green phosphorescence from triplet states with tetrahedral structure. Larger interligand steric interactions in 2 and 3 caused by their bulkier ligands probably inhibit geometric relaxation within the excited-state lifetimes, leading to higher energy phosphorescence than that observed for 1. NMR experiments revealed that 2 and 3 in solution possess structures that are much more immobilized than that of 1; fluxional motion is completely suppressed in 2 and 3. Accordingly, conformational changes of 2 and 3 are expected to be suppressed by the alkyl substituents not only in the ground state but also in excited states. Consequently, nonradiative decay of the excited states of 2 and 3 occurs less efficiently than in 1. As a result, the quantum yields of phosphorescence for 2 and 3 are 6 times larger than that for the homoleptic complex 1.  相似文献
