The labeling of foods containing material derived from crustaceans such as shrimp and crab is to become mandatory in Japan because of increases in the number of allergy patients. To ensure proper labeling, 2 novel sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits for the determination of crustacean protein in processed foods, the N kit (Nissui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Ibaraki, Japan) and the M kit (Maruha Nichiro Holdings, Inc., Ibaraki, Japan), have been developed. Five types of model processed foods containing 10 and/or 11.9 microg/g crustacean soluble protein were prepared for interlaboratory evaluation of the performance of these kits. The N kit displayed a relatively high level of reproducibility relative standard deviation (interlaboratory precision; 4.0-8.4% RSDR) and sufficient recovery (65-86%) for all the model processed foods. The M kit displayed sufficient reproducibility (17.6-20.5% RSDR) and a reasonably high level of recovery (82-103%). The repeatability relative standard deviation (RSDr) values regarding the detection of crustacean proteins in the 5 model foods were mostly < 5.1% RSDr for the N kit and 9.9% RSDr for the M kit. In conclusion, the results of this interlaboratory evaluation suggest that both these ELISA kits would be very useful for detecting crustacean protein in processed foods.  相似文献

Photon-upconversion in organic molecular systems is one of the promising technologies for future energy harvesting systems because these systems can generate excitons that possess higher energy than excitation energy. The photon-upconversion caused by absorbing ambient heat as additional energy is particularly interesting because it could ideally provide a light-driving cooling system. However, only a few organic molecular systems have been reported. Here, we report the anti-Stokes photoluminescence (ASPL) derived from hot-band absorption in a series of multi-resonance-type thermally-activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) molecules. The MR-TADF molecules exhibited an anti-Stokes shift of approximately 0.1 eV with a high PL quantum yield in the solution state. The anti-Stokes shift corresponded well to the 1–0 vibration transition from the ground state to the excited singlet state, and we further evaluated a correlation between the activation energy for the ASPL intensity and the TADF process. Our demonstration underlines that MR-TADF molecules have become a novel class of ASPL materials for various future applications, such as light-driving cooling systems.  相似文献

The apparent circular dichroism (CD) and the linear dichroism (LD) spectra of the aggregates of achiral zinc(II)-5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine (ZnTPyP), formed at the toluene/water interface in a centrifugal liquid membrane (CLM) cell, were investigated by comparison with the microscopic CD and LD spectra of a single interfacial aggregate of ZnTPyP about 100 mum in length, measured by a microscope-spectropolarimeter. The interfacial ZnTPyP aggregate showed two types of flat trapezoidal shapes, one had a seedlike core at an edge (type I) and another a needlelike core at an edge (type II). The microscopic CD and LD spectra were observed by varying the angle between the parallel axis of the trapezoidal aggregate and the perpendicular axis of a polarized light for LD. The plot of the CD intensity against the LD intensity for a single aggregate, observed at a given wavelength, showed a rotated elliptical shape with a long axis through the origin, when the orientation angle was changed. From these results, it was concluded that the apparent CD spectra observed by the CLM-CD method were mainly due to the large linear dichroism of the aggregate. Both type I and type II structures showed two transition dipole moments, parallel and perpendicular to the long axis of the structure, but suggesting a more developed J-aggregate in type II structure. AFM measurements showed that the interfacial ZnTPyP aggregate had a multilayer structure, in which the unit monolayer thickness was 1.58 +/- 0.23 nm. Finally, the orientation angle of the interfacial aggregate in the CLM cell was estimated as 41 degrees -44 degrees to the rotating axis of the cell.  相似文献

Unlike folding, protein aggregation is a multipathway, kinetically controlled process yielding different conformations of fibrils. The dynamics and determinism/indeterminism boundaries of misfolded conformations remain obscure. Here we show that, upon vortexing, insulin forms two distinct types of fibrils with opposite local chiral preferences, which manifest in the opposite twists of bound dye, thioflavin T. Occurrence of either type of fibrils in a test tube is only stochastically determined. By acting through an autocatalytic, "chiral amplification"-like mechanism, a random conformational fluctuation triggers conversion of the macroscopic amount of insulin into aggregates with uniformly biased chiral moieties, which bind and twist likewise the achiral dye. Although a convection-driven chiral amplification in achiral systems, which results in randomly distributed excesses of optically active forms, is known, observation of such a phenomenon in misfolded protein built of l-amino acids is unprecedented. The two optical variants of insulin fibrils show distinct morphologies and can propagate their chiral biases upon seeding to nonagitated insulin solutions. Our findings point to a new aspect of topological complexity of protein fibrils: a chiral feature of hierarchically assembled polypeptides, which is partly emancipated from the innate left-handedness of amino acids. Because altering chirality of a molecule changes dramatically its biological activity, the finding may have important ramifications in the context of the structural basis of "amyloid strains".  相似文献

The enhancement effects of Y ( Ⅲ) ions on the fluorescence of Ce ( Ⅲ) in Ce ( Ⅲ)-Y ( Ⅲ)-PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate ) or Ce ( Ⅲ)-Y ( Ⅲ)-PVC (polyvinyl chloride ) complex systems were observed. The influence of Y ( Ⅲ) ions on the emission spectra of PMMA ligands in PMMA-Y ( Ⅲ) and the fluorescent enhance- ment of Y( Ⅲ) on Ce( Ⅲ) emission in PMMA-Ce-Y by Y( Ⅲ) ion were studied. It was also of interest to note that when Y ( Ⅲ) ions were added into PMMA and into bpy(bipyridine ), respectively, the emission spectrum of PMMA ligands was split into fine structure bands by Y ( Ⅲ), and the fluorescence intensities of bpy ligands in bpy-Y ( Ⅲ) complexes were considerably increased.  相似文献

Preferentially (105)-oriented SrxBi2+yTa2O9 (SBT) thin films on SiN/SiO2/p-Si(100) prepared by the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method at a temperature as low as 400 °C, which is the lowest process temperature for growing SBT ferroelectric thin films on a silicon nitride film. Excess Bi promotes crystallization of the SBT film. A metal-ferroelectric-nitride-oxide-semiconductor (MFNOS) structure, which is very important in ferroelectric gate memory FET, has been fabricated by depositing the SBT film on silicon nitride-oxide-silicon. The MFNOS structures show capacitance-voltage (C-V) hysteresis corresponding to ferroelectric hysteresis. A memory window of the C-V hysteresis is improved, to be as high as 3.5 V in the SBT(400 nm)/SiNx(7 nm)/SiO2(18 nm)/Si compared with the window of 2.7 V in the SBT(400 nm)/SiO2(27 nm)/Si (MFOS), where the thicknesses of their insulator layers are nearly the same. Little degradation is induced in the C-V characteristics of the SiNx/SiO2/p-Si structure when depositing the SBT film by PLD at low temperature. It is also found that the SiNx layer acts as a diffusion barrier against component atoms in the SBT film during its deposition. Finally, the MFNOS structure prepared at the low temperature is very promising for a next-generation ferroelectric gate memory FET.  相似文献

Indium Tungstate, In2(WO4)3 – an In3+ Conducting Solid Electrolyte Polycrystalline In2(WO4)3 has been electrochemically characterized and unambiguously identified as an In3+ conducting solid electrolyte. By heating, indium tungstate undergoes a phase transition between 250 °C and 260 °C transforming from a monoclinic to an orthorhombic phase for which the conduction properties have been determined. The adopted crystal structure in this high temperature region corresponds to the Sc2(WO4)3 type structure. The electrical conductivity was investigated by impedance spectroscopy in the temperature range 300–700 °C and amounts to about 3.7 · 10–5 Scm–1 at 600 °C with a corresponding activation energy of 59.5 kJ/mol. Polarization measurements indicated an exclusive current transport by ionic charge carriers with a transference number of about 0.99. In dc electrolysis experiments, the trivalent In3+ cations were undoubtedly identified as mobile species. A current transport by oxide anions was not observed.  相似文献

A RATIO method for analysis of intensity changes in time‐resolved pump–probe Laue diffraction experiments is described. The method eliminates the need for scaling the data with a wavelength curve representing the spectral distribution of the source and removes the effect of possible anisotropic absorption. It does not require relative scaling of series of frames and removes errors due to all but very short term fluctuations in the synchrotron beam.  相似文献

Reversible vapochromic behavior of a porous copper(II) coordination polymer {[Cu(bhnq)(THF)2](THF)}n (1; THF = tetrahydrofuran) constructed from a flexible hingelike ligand H2bhnq [2,2'-bis(3-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone)] has been investigated by adsorption measurements. The isotherms show large hysteretic and stepwise profiles, suggesting the occurrence of the guest-induced framework transformation. The dynamic coil-like behavior of 1 can be controlled through the change of the hydrogen-bonding interactions caused by the reversible and selective incorporation of guest molecules.  相似文献

We conduct kinetic Monte Carlo simulations for the conservative climb motion of a cluster of self-interstitial atoms (SIAs) towards another SIA cluster in BCC–Fe; the conservative climb velocity is inversely proportional to the fourth power of the distance between them, as per the prediction based on Einstein’s equation. The size of the climbing cluster significantly affects its conservative climb velocity, while the size of the cluster that originates the stress field does not. The activation energy for the conservative climb is considerably greater than that derived in previous studies and strongly dependent on the climbing cluster size. The results presented in this study are the atomistic evaluation of the behaviour of SIA clusters through three-dimensional motion, which cannot be achieved using molecular dynamics techniques alone.  相似文献
