We observed the energy gap spectra for (TMTSF)2ClO4-Al2O3-Au junctions at 1.5 K by measuring their tunneling current characteristics. The superconducting gap was estimated to be less than 2 meV (Tc<6 K) which is much smaller than the previously reported value, 8 meV.  相似文献

We study 10D super Yang–Mills theory with the gauge groups E 6, E 7 and E 8. We consider the torus/orbifold compactification with magnetic fluxes and Wilson lines. They lead to 4D interesting models with three families of quarks and leptons, whose profiles in extra dimensions are quasi-localized because of magnetic fluxes.  相似文献

We study a filtration on the group of homotopy classes of self maps of a compact Lie group associated with homotopy groups. We determine these filtrations of and completely. We introduce two natural invariants and defined by the filtration, where is a prime number, and compute the invariants for simple Lie groups in the cases where Lie groups are -regular or quasi -regular. We apply our results to the groups of self homotopy equivalences.

We report that entirely end-bonded multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) can exhibit superconductivity with a transition temperature (T(c)) as high as 12 K, which is approximately 30 times greater than T(c) reported for ropes of single-walled nanotubes. We find that the emergence of this superconductivity is highly sensitive to the junction structures of the Au electrode/MWNTs. This reveals that only MWNTs with optimal numbers of electrically activated shells, which are realized by end bonding, can allow superconductivity due to intershell effects.  相似文献

Through fluorescence-spectrum measurements, we investigated the effects of light-assisted oxidation with H2O2 (LAOx) on single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) that were individually dispersed in an aqueous solution of surfactant. The intensities of the fluorescence spectra were decreased remarkably by the LAOx when the light's wavelength was 400-500 nm and a little when 600-700 nm. The spectrum intensity did not recover even when the pH was restored to an original value of 6.5. The spectra changed little when the LAOx wavelength was 500-600 nm or the light was not irradiated. In addition, the effect of LAOx on SWNTs was related to the diameters of SWNTs. We inferred that these phenomena reflected that H2O2 was dissociated by absorbing the fluorescence light emitted from optically excited SWNTs, which, in turn, accelerated the burning out of SWNTs.  相似文献

It is in the lexicon of crystal growth that the shape of a growing crystal reflects the underlying microscopic architecture. Although it is known that in weakly nonequilibrium conditions the slowest growing orientations ultimately dominate the asymptotic shape, is the same true for melting? Here we observe and show theoretically that while the two-dimensional steady melt shapes of ice are bounded by six planes, these planes are not proper facets but instead are rotated 30 degrees from the prism planes of ice. Finally, the transient melting state exposes 12 apparent crystallographic planes thereby differing substantially from the transient growth state.  相似文献

For the realization of optoelectronic integrated circuits, it is required to incident light perpendicularly to a planar Si photodiode. We propose a high-efficient vertical optical coupler using an amorphous Si optical waveguide grating coupler with top reflector, which is transparent at 850 nm wavelength range. The optical waveguide (width of 300 nm $\times $ height of 100 nm) coupler is analyzed by using finite element method. The coupling efficiency of 80 % is calculated at the grating period of 380 nm, the duty ratio of 0.75 and the depth of 35–65 nm with top metal reflector.  相似文献

Photoproduction of the neutral kaon on the deuteron has been investigated at the Research Center for Electron Photon Science, Tohoku University. We constructed the Neutral Kaon Spectrometer-2 for the detection of charged particles from the decay of the neutral kaon and the hyperon. We obtained a momentum distribution of K 0 with the inclusive measurement. It was consistent with the previous measurement. The total cross section of γ + dK 0 + Λ + p was estimated from the measured integral cross section of γ + d → Λ + X. The total cross section with respect to the photon energy was compared with the theoretical calculations. It favored the Saclay-Lyon A model calculation with the ratio of the neutral to charged coupling constants of the axial-vector meson, K 1, as ~ ?1.5. The energy dependence and the magnitude of the total cross section were similar to the total cross section of γ + p → K + Λ.  相似文献

This paper describes a new design method to optimize thickness distribution of a multilayered structure which is located on the coupling surface between a structure and an acoustic cavity. The design method is based on the concept of the density approach in topology optimization incorporating a transfer matrix for a multilayered structure that includes a poroelastic media layer. The one-dimensional transfer matrix adopted here is an approximate representation addressing vibro-acoustic effects inherent in a multilayered structure, and balances calculation resources and desired accuracy. Applying the transfer matrix representation as boundary conditions on the coupling surface between a structure and an acoustic cavity, the modified equilibrium equation of the vibro-acoustic system is derived which is approximately but efficiently solved by the modal approach. In this study, the problem of minimizing the acoustic pressure within the cavity over the prescribed frequency range is formulated under the volume constraint of the poroelastic media layer. The continuous approximation of thickness distribution is assumed, and the thickness of the poroelastic media layer at each nodal point is chosen as design variables. Numerical results show that an acoustic response is significantly reduced by the optimal thickness distribution having a total weight equal to or less than that in the initial uniform thickness. These demonstrate that the proposed method is effective to design the optimal thickness distribution of a multilayered structure.  相似文献
