In phosphinous esters of general formula R? PH(O)OR', the asymmetric phosphorus atom induces magnetic non-equivalence in geminal protons and methyl groups. When alkoxy groups also possess an asymmetric carbon, the presence of the two possible diastereoisomers in equal amounts is proven by 31P and 1H NMR. 31P NMR reveals that the phosphorus atom in phosphonous esters R? P(O·C4H9-s)2 of racemic sec. butyl alcohol, is a centre of pseudo-asymmetry.  相似文献

The region of the giant resonances in 208Pb has been investigated by inelastic scattering of 201 MeV protons. To test the analysis, angular distributions were measured for the low-lying 3?, 5?, 2+ and 4+ collective states. The giant isoscalar quadrupole resonance (ISGQR) is split into two structures, one at 9.0 MeV with a full width at half-maximum Γ = 1.0 MeV, the other one at 10.6 MeV (Γ = 2.0 MeV), with fine structures at 8.9, 9.3, 10.1, 10.6 and 11 MeV. A macroscopic analysis using the distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) leads for the low-lying collective levels, as well as for the ISGQR, to transition probabilities too small by a factor of two, compared with those obtained in other reactions. Microscopic analysis using the distorted-wave impulse approximation (DWIA), with three different sets of random phase approximation (RPA) transition densities, is in very good agreement with the data. At forward angles, in the 12 to 16 MeV excitation energy region, a strong resonance at 13.5 MeV (Γ = 3.6 MeV) is accounted for by the Coulomb excitation of the isovector giant dipole resonance (IVGDR); at larger angles the results are compatible with the excitation of the isoscalar monopole resonance (ISGMR) located at 13.9 MeV (Γ = 2.6 MeV).A resonance located at 21.5 MeV (Γ = 5.7 MeV) appears as the superposition of an isovector quadrupole resonance (IVGQR) excited by Coulomb interaction and a resonance of multipolarity L = 1 ΔT = 0 (ISGDR “squeezing mode”).  相似文献

The resistance generated by individual domain walls is measured in a FePd nanostructure. Combining transport and magnetic imaging measurements, the intrinsic domain wall resistance is quantified. It is found positive and of a magnitude consistent with that predicted by models based on spin scattering effects within the walls. This magnetoresistance at a nanometer scale allows a direct counting of the number of walls inside the nanostructure. The effect is then used to measure changes in the magnetic configuration of submicron stripes under application of a magnetic field.  相似文献

The vestibular system in almost all vertebrates, humans included, controls balance by employing a set of six semicircular canals, three in each inner ear, to detect angular accelerations of the head. Signals from the canals are transmitted to neck motoneurons and activate eight corresponding muscle groups. These signals may be either excitatory or inhibitory, depending on the direction of acceleration. McCollum and Boyle have observed that in the cat the network of neurons concerned possesses octahedral symmetry, a structure deduced from the known innervation patterns (connections) from canals to muscles. We re-derive the octahedral symmetry from mathematical features of the probable network architecture, and model the movement of the head in response to the activation patterns of the muscles concerned. We assume that connections among neck muscles can be modeled by a ‘coupled cell network’, a system of coupled ODEs whose variables correspond to the eight muscles, and that network also has octahedral symmetry. The network and its symmetries imply that these ODEs must be equivariant under a suitable action of the octahedral group. Using results of Ashwin and Podvigina, we show that with the appropriate group actions, there are six possible spatiotemporal patterns of time-periodic states that can arise by Hopf bifurcation from an equilibrium corresponding to natural head motions. A new flow system for antioxidant capacity (AOC) estimation, consisting of a bioreactor, containing immobilized xanthine oxidase (XOD), coupled with a H2O2 amperometric biosensor, based on Os‐wired horseradish peroxidase, was developed. The H2O2, resulting from the enzymatic reaction between xanthine (XA) and XOD, was amperometrically monitored at ?0.1 V vs. Ag/AgCl/KClsat, in order to avoid the electrochemical interferences. Two protocols were used to perform the AOC evaluation: “steady‐state”, when the antioxidant (AOX) was injected in the XA flow, and “transient state”, when XA and AOX were simultaneously injected in the carrier flow. The AOC of some commercial beverages were evaluated and compared with those obtained with 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl radical and Folin–Ciocalteu methods.  相似文献

Among known pesticide groups, organophosphates (OPs) have grasped attention due to their hazardous nature and their applications as pesticides and chemical weapons. This work presents the development of cost-effective column based biosensor for detoxification of OPs in water and milk. Enzyme phosphotriesterase (PTE) was immobilized on an activated Sepharose 4B via covalent coupling using an Omnifit glass column. Three different OPs, ethyl paraoxon (EPOx), malaoxon (MAO) and chlorpyriphos-oxon (CPO) were spiked in water and milk to test the detoxification of OPs. Mixtures of these pesticides were also tested to check the cumulative detoxification in the real samples. The efficiency of detoxification was evaluated using a highly sensitive acetylcholinesterase (AChE) B394 biosensor based flow system. The column conditions were optimized for the detoxification studied. The method was shown to be promising when we tested real milk samples spiked with OPs. Detoxification obtained in milk was up to 86% whereas in water, 100% detoxification was obtained.  相似文献

Branched thermotropic liquid crystals (LCs) were successfully used as stabilizers for the synthesis of isotropic photoluminescent ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) in solution. (1)H?NMR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry experiments demonstrate the existence of specific interactions between the LC and both the ZnO precursor and ZnO NPs. This offers the possibility for some branched molecules to act as structurally ordered hosts for the anisotropic growth of ZnO NPs.  相似文献

The potential relevance of the Ba3NbFe3Si2O14 langasite in the field of multiferroism was investigated. Interesting properties were expected, in particular in view of the frustrating stacking of its magnetic Fe3+ cations into triangular planes of triangle units. We hereafter report results of specific heat and magnetic measurements, Mössbauer spectroscopy and neutron diffraction. A peculiar magnetic structure is found out at low temperature. The Fe3+ magnetic moments adopt a triangular 120° configuration within each triangle, which is in-phase propagated in each triangular plane and is helically modulated from plane to plane.  相似文献
