Acclimation of the photosynthetic apparatus of chlorophyll b-less barley mutant chlorina f2 to low light (100 micromolm(-2)s(-1); LL) and extremely high light level (1000 micromolm(-2)s(-1); HL) was examined using techniques of pigment analysis and chlorophyll a fluorescence measurements at room temperature and at 77 K. The absence of chlorophyll b in LL-grown chlorina f2 resulted in the reduction of functional antenna size of both photosystem II (by 67%) and photosystem I (by 21%). Chlorophyll fluorescence characteristics of the LL-grown mutant indicated no impairment of the utilization of absorbed light energy in photosystem II photochemistry. Thermal dissipation of excitation energy estimated as non-photochemical quenching of minimal fluorescence (SV(0)) was significantly higher as compared to the wild-type barley grown under LL. Despite impaired assembly of pigment-protein complexes, chlorina f2 was able to efficiently acclimate to HL. In comparison with chlorina f2 grown under LL, HL-grown chlorina f2 was characterized by unaffected maximal photochemical efficiency of photosystem II (F(V)/F(M), doubled content of both beta-carotene and the xanthophyll cycle pigments and considerably reduced efficiency of excitation energy transfer from carotenoids to chlorophyll a. The enormous xanthophyll cycle pool size was however associated with reduced SV(0) capacity. We suggest that the substantial part of the xanthophyll cycle pigments is not bound to the remaining pigment-protein complexes and acts as filter for excitation energy, thereby contributing to the efficient photoprotection of chlorina f2 grown under HL.  相似文献

During the condensation of 4-methyl-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (3) with 2,3-butanedione an unexpected by-product, 8a-methyl-6,8a-dihydro-8-methyl-2-[N-methyl-N-phenylamino]-5H-1,3,4-thiadiazolo[3,2-d][1,2,4]triazine-5-thione, (5) was obtained in addition to the desired bis(thiosemicarbazone) (4). An X-ray crystal structure was obtained and is presented together with a proposed mechanism for its formation. A brief investigation of the coordination chemistry of bicycle (5) was carried out. To explore their suitability for applications in molecular optoelectronics and as sensory materials, novel dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]phospholes have been synthesized and their reactivity and properties investigated. An efficient two-step synthesis allowed for a modular assembly of differently functionalized compounds. The dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]phosphole system exhibits extraordinary optoelectronic properties with respect to wavelength, intensity, and tunability. Owing to the nucleophilic nature of the central phosphorus atom, its significant electronic influence on the conjugated pi system can be altered selectively by chemically facile modifications such as oxidation or complexation with Lewis acids or transition metals. All the dithienophosphole species presented show very strong blue photoluminescence with excellent quantum yield efficiencies supporting their potential utility as blue-light emitting components in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). Furthermore, depending on the electronic nature of the phosphorus center, the materials exhibit distinctive optoelectronic properties suggesting that the dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]phosphole system may be useful as sensory material. Theoretical calculations, including time-dependent DFT methods, revealed the excellent predictability of the structures and optoelectronic properties of the functionalized dithienophospholes allowing the design of future dithieno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]phosphole-based materials to be "stream-lined". By using tin-functionalized dithienophosphole monomers, a strategy, which involves Stille coupling, towards extended pi-conjugated materials with significantly redshifted optoelectronic properties is also presented.  相似文献

Critical micelle concentrations were determined by conductance measurements for decyl-, dodecyl-, tetradecyl- and hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide in water at 25, 60, 95, 130, and 160°C. The results are discussed in terms of the equilibrium model and the nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann model for micelle formation. The free energies of transferring a methylene group from water to the oil-like interior of the micelle are found to be –781 at 25°C, –796 at 60°C, –819 at 95°C, –815 at 130°C, and –787 at 160°C cal-mol–1.  相似文献

Dependence of the Stereoselectivity on the Leaving Group, the Temperature and the Solvent in the Favorskii-Reaction of Enolisable Cyclobutanones The base-induced contraction of enolisable 2-halocyclobutanones is often not stereoselectiv. The cis/trans-isomer ratio in the cyclopropanecarboxylic acid 9 derived from 2,4-cis-substituted cyclobutanones 7 depends on the nature of the leaving group. In addition, the choice of the base, the temperature and the solvent can profoundly affect the stereoselectivity of the Favorskii-reaction. The use of the p-bromophenylsulphonyloxy group as leaving group and an inhomogenous reaction medium leads exclusively to cis-carboxylic acid 9 .  相似文献

A method for the fabrication of polymeric thin-film transistors (TFTs) by lamination is described. Poly(dimethylsiloxane) stamps were used to delaminate thin films of semiconducting polymers from silicon wafers coated with a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) formed from octyltrichlorosilane. These supported films were laminated onto electrode structures to form coplanar TFTs. The fabrication process was used to make TFTs with poly(3-hexylthiophene), P3HT, and poly[5,5'-bis(3-dodecyl-2-thienyl)-2,2'-bithiophene], PQT-12. TFTs, where these polymers were laminated onto gate dielectrics coated with SAMs from octyltrichlorosilane, had effective field-effect mobilities of 0.03 and 0.005 cm2/(V s), respectively. TFTs where PQT-12 was laminated onto gate dielectrics that were not coated with a SAM also had mobility of 0.03 cm2/(V s). In contrast, TFTs fabricated by spin-coating PQT-12 onto the same structure had mobilities ranging from 10-3 to 10-4 cm2/(V s). These results suggest that the lower mobilities of polymer TFTs made with hydrophilic gate dielectrics are caused by molecular ordering in the semiconducting film rather than electronic effects of dipolar groups at the interface.  相似文献

On the Temperature Dependence of the 13C-NMR.-Spectra of Tetracarbonyl (η-( Z )-cyclooctene)iron and of ( Z )-Cyclooctene Reaction of (Z)-cyclooctene (1) with Fe2(CO)9 in pentane at 0° yielded tetracarbonyl(η-(Z)-cyclooctene)iron (2) as a yellow oil which can be stored over a longer period only at ?78°. It is shown that the title compounds ( 1 and 2 , respectively) are fluxional. The activation parameters for the conformational C-atom site exchange of (Z)-cyclooctene (1) and tetracarbonyl (η-(Z)-cyclooctene)iron (2) (in CCl2F2) have been determined between 113 K and 151 K for 1 and between 151 K and 205 K for 2 , respectively, by a complete line shape analysis of the temperature dependent proton noise-decoupled 13C-NMR. signals of the olefinic C-atom. The kinetic data and activation parameters are given in Tables 1 and 2.  相似文献
