Experimental and numerical investigations of the ignition of hydrogen/air mixtures by jets of hot exhaust gases are reported. An experimental realisation of such an ignition process, where a jet of hot exhaust gas impinges through a narrow nozzle into a quiescent hydrogen/air mixture, possibly initiating ignition and combustion, is studied. High-speed laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) image sequences of the hydroxyl radical (OH) and laser Schlieren methods are used to gain information about the spatial and temporal evolution of the ignition process. Recording temporally resolved pressure traces yields information about ambient conditions for the process. Numerical experiments are performed that allow linking these observables to certain characteristic states of the gas mixture. The outcome of numerical modelling and experiments indicates the important influence of the hot jet temperature and speed of mixing between the hot and cold gases on the ignition process. The results show the quenching of the flame inside the nozzle and the subsequent ignition of the mixture by the hot exhaust jet. These detailed examinations of the ignition process improve the knowledge concerning flame transmission out of electrical equipment of the type of protection flameproof enclosure.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct an explicit quasi-isomorphism to study the cyclic cohomology of a deformation quantization over a Riemannian étale groupoid. Such a quasi-isomorphism allows us to propose a general algebraic index problem for Riemannian étale groupoids. We discuss solutions to that index problem when the groupoid is proper or defined by a constant Dirac structure on a 3-dimensional torus.  相似文献

We demonstrate the controlled coherent transport and splitting of atomic wave packets in spin-dependent optical lattice potentials. Such experiments open intriguing possibilities for quantum state engineering of many body states. After first preparing localized atomic wave functions in an optical lattice through a Mott insulating phase, we place each atom in a superposition of two internal spin states. Then state selective optical potentials are used to split the wave function of a single atom and transport the corresponding wave packets in two opposite directions. Coherence between the wave packets of an atom delocalized over up to seven lattice sites is demonstrated.  相似文献

Lead tetraacetate (LTA) oxidation of the allylic alcohols 1, 10, 14 and 19 leads to the formation of the epoxides 2, 11, 15 and 20 , products of a novel internal addition reaction of the electron deficient alcohol oxygen to the allylic double bond. In some cases ( 10, 14 ) the formation of a new type of acetoxylated enolethers ( 12, 16 ) is observed. The LTA oxidation of the allylic dienols 21 and 29 gives rise to the formation of the epoxyacetates 25 and 33 , products of a similar internal addition reaction. Furthermore, a variety of cyclization products ( 22, 23, 24, 26, 30, 31, 32 and 34 ) has been isolated whose formation requires an isomerisation of the allylic trans double bond to a cis one.  相似文献

Thermodynamic pKa-values have been determined for 38 4-substituted quinuclidinium perchlorates. They are remarkably sensitive to the polar effect of the substituent and cover a range of 3.63 pKa units. Furthermore, they vary linearly and almost equally with temperature since the contribution of the TΔS° term to the free energy of ionization is relatively small and constant. The magnitude of the polar effect of the 4-cyano group varies with the solvent and appears to depend on its ability to form hydrogen bonds to the substituent rather than its dielectric constant. New inductive substituent constants σIq are derived from the pKa values. Their correlation with known inductive constants is only fair or unsatisfactory, especially as regards the relative order of hydrogen and the alkyl groups. The discrepancies can be ascribed mainly to the different models used to derive the substituent constants.  相似文献

Summary Aliphatic anionic surfactants, like alkylsulfonates, alkyl sulfates, -sulfo alkanoic acids and their esters, were separated with respect to their alkyl chain length by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) using reversed phase (RP) columns. For sensitive and specific detection of these classes of compounds the HPLC separation was combined with a post-column ion-pair extraction system. The limit of detection is in the range of 3–30 ng. Previously reported detection systems of this kind were modified by changing the inner set-up of the phase separator and the extraction capillary and integrating a purge function, which led to a higher system stability and made automatization possible. In order to optimize the experimental set-up, the influence of the reagent concentration as well as different sizes and materials of the extraction capillary were evaluated. The calibration curve of surfactant concentrations versus fluorescence emission is discussed for sodium decylsulfonate. Since both the electrolyte concentration and the percentage of organic solvents in the mobile phase may adversely affect the detection system, different eluent compositions were tested.This article is part of the planned dissertation of Markus Schoester at the Mathematical Natural Science Faculty of the University of Düsseldorf  相似文献

The chiral N-(2-benzoylethyl)-N-tosylglycinamides 1a-c were prepared from the C2-symmetric pyrrolidines 5a-c . Irradiation of these ketones 1a-c gave cis-3-hydroxyprolinamides 10-12 in moderate to good yields (Scheme 3). The de of the photocyclizations depended on the size of the substituents in positions C(2) and C(5) of the chiral pyrrolidine auxiliaries. In addition, the de varied with the reaction temperature, allowing the determination of activation-parameter differences. The structure of products 10-12 were established by NMR and X-ray analyses.  相似文献
