Using magnetron sputtering, we have prepared Co-Fe-B/tunnel barrier/Co-Fe-B magnetic tunnel junctions with tunnel barriers consisting of alumina, magnesia, and magnesia-alumina bilayer systems. The highest tunnel magnetoresistance ratios we found were 73% for alumina and 323% for magnesia-based tunnel junctions. Additionally, tunnel junctions with a unified layer stack were prepared for the three different barriers. In these systems, the tunnel magnetoresistance ratios at optimum annealing temperatures were found to be 65% for alumina, 173% for magnesia, and 78% for the composite tunnel barriers. The similar tunnel magnetoresistance ratios of the tunnel junctions containing alumina provide evidence that coherent tunneling is suppressed by the alumina layer in the composite tunnel barrier. 相似文献

Is Einstein's metric theory of gravitation to be quantized to yield a complete and logically consistent picture of the geometry of the real world in the presence of quantized material sources? To answer this question, we give arguments that there is a consistent way to extend general relativity to small distances by incorporating further geometric quantities at the level of the connection into the theory and introducing corresponding field equations for their determination, allowing thereby the metric and the Levi-Civita connection to remain classical quantities. The dualism between matter and geometry is extended to quantized fields with the help of a Hibert bundle ? raised over a Riemann-Cartan spacetime. Quantized subnuclear matter fields (generalized quantum mechanical wave functions) are sections on ? which determine generalized bilinear currents acting as sourc currents for the bundle geometry at small distances. The established dualism between matter and the underlying bundle geometry contains general relativity as a classical part. 相似文献

Using femtosecond laser writing, optical waveguides were monolithically integrated into a commercial microfluidic lab-on-a-chip device, with the waveguides intersecting a microfluidic channel. Continuous-wave laser excitation through these optical waveguides confines the excitation window to a width of 12 microm, enabling high-resolution monitoring of the passage of different types of fluorescent analytes when migrating and being separated in the microfluidic channel by microchip capillary electrophoresis. Furthermore, we demonstrate on-chip-integrated waveguide excitation and detection of a biologically relevant species, fluorescently labeled DNA molecules, during microchip capillary electrophoresis. Well-controlled plug formation as required for on-chip integrated capillary electrophoresis separation of DNA molecules, and the combination of waveguide excitation and a low limit of detection, will enable monitoring of extremely small quantities with high spatial resolution. 相似文献

In this work, we investigated the stoichiometry of oxygen precipitates in Czochralski silicon wafers. The thickness dependence of the Cliff–Lorimer sensitivity factor for the silicon/oxygen system was determined and applied for the investigation of the stoichiometry of oxygen precipitates by EDX. The results show that both plate‐like oxygen precipitates and a transitional form between plate‐like and octahedral precipi‐ tates consist of SiO2. This was confirmed by EELS low loss spectra where the typical spectrum for amorphous SiO2 was observed. Moreover, the absorption band of plate‐like precipitates at 1227 cm–1 was found in the low temperature FTIR spectrum. We present a new graded-index photonic crystal (GRIN PhC) structure which can be made by laser interference lithography (LIL). It can be applied as miniaturized focusing lens. Numerical simulations are carried out on the structures with different widths, lengths, and modulations. In the qualitative analysis of the focal length, focusing of a GRIN PhC was proved to originate from both the graded sizes of the rods and multimode interference. Multimode interference dominates the focusing effect when a GRIN PhC has a small length or a small difference in the rod sizes. Intensity distributions in different cases were given to support the conclusion. 相似文献

The conformational analyses of six non-rigid N-acetyl glucosamine (NAG) derivatives employing residual dipolar couplings (RDCs) and NOEs together with molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are presented. Due to internal dynamics we had to consider different conformer ratios existing in solution. The good quality of the correlation between theoretically and experimentally obtained RDCs show the correctness of the calculated conformers even if the ratios derived from the MD simulations do not exactly meet the experimental data. We report a comparative study of (63)Cu nuclear magnetic resonance spin lattice relaxation rates T(1)(-1) on undoped SrCuO(2) and Ca-doped Sr(0.9)Ca(0.1)CuO(2) spin chain compounds. A temperature independent T(1)(-1) is observed for SrCuO(2) as expected for an S=1/2 Heisenberg chain. Surprisingly, we observe an exponential decrease of T(1)(-1) for T<90 K in the Ca-doped sample evidencing the opening of a spin gap. The data analysis within the J(1)-J(2) Heisenberg model employing density-matrix renormalization group calculations suggests an impurity driven small alternation of the J(2)-exchange coupling as a possible cause of the spin gap. 相似文献
