Data on the charge-exchange reaction π?p → (π+π?π0)n have been taken at beam momenta of 12 and 15 GeV/c, using the CERN Omega Multiparticle Spectrometer. A partial-wave analysis has been made of the (3π)0 system. We observe both natural and unnatural spin-parity production. The natural parity states can be identified with established resonances. In addition a natural spin-parity enhancement is observed at a mass of about 2 GeV/c2 with JP = 4+ preferred. We have called this effect the A21 (2030). The unnatural spin-parity production found is consistent with reggeized Deck model predictions. No unambiguous A1 or A3 production is observed.  相似文献

Data on the reaction π?p → π+π?π0 have been taken at 12 and 15 GeV/c with the CERN Omega multiparticle spectrometer. In a 3-pion partial-wave analysis strong production of A20 (1310) and ω1 (1675) is observed. Total and differential cross sections are determined and density matrix elements presented as a function of t in the t- and s-channel frames. The energy dependence of A20 production is studied, and a comparison of ω(780), A20(1310) and ω1 (1675) production is made.  相似文献

The mass, width and branching fractions of the Λ(1520) into KN, σπ, Λππ and σππ have been determined using a Λ(1520) sample produced in the reaction K?d→Λ(1520)π?ps at K? -neutron centre-of-mass energies between 1.9 and 2.2 GeV. A Dalitz plot analysis of the Λ0π+π? decay mode shows that there is a substantial Σ(1385)π component. The SU(3) octet-singlet mixing angle for the 32? baryons calculated from the partial widths for the s-wave σ(1385)π decay of the Λ(1520) and Λ(1690) is found to be consistent with that obtained from the d-wave decays of the singlet and octet members, within experimental limits.  相似文献

We have investigated the ferromagnetic phase transition and excitation spectrum of systems, such as the rare earths, where the crystalline fields are significant in determining the magnetic properties. Using the full level scheme appropriate to a system ofJ-4 ions in a crystal field of cubic symmetry and assuming a Heisenberg interaction, we have calculated the full temperature- andq-dependence of the dynamic susceptibility within the RPA, both in the paramagnetic and ordered regimes. Variations in behavior, both with changes in crystal field parameter and with changes in magnetic interaction strength are discussed, and emphasis is placed on the limiting case which corresponds to current experiments in the light rare earths.  相似文献

New bubble chamber data on the reaction K?n → π?Λ in the c.m.s. energy range 2050 MeV to 2175 MeV are presented. These new data have been combined with published data on this reaction and on the reaction K?p → π0Λ and a partial-wave analysis has been carried out between 1875 MeV and 2175 MeV. Parameters of the established resonances in this c.m.s. energy region have been determined and further evidence is presented for the existence of a Σ resonance with mass around 2100 MeV/c2 in the P3 partial wave.  相似文献

We have observed φ production in π?p interactions at 19 GeV/c with (44±10) events in the final state φπ+π?π?p and (45±9) events in φK+K?π?p. The production ratios φπ+π?π?p/ωπ+π?π?p ≈ 0.005 and φK+K?π?p/?°K+K?π?p ≈ 0.45 agree with Zweig-rule expectations.  相似文献
