The p-median problem is a minisium network location problem that seeks to find the optimal location of p centres in a network. In the present paper a graph-theoretical bound is developed for the problem. This bound is based on shortest spanning trees and arborescences and other graphical properties of the problem. Several Ni(II) complexes derived from (S)-o-N-(N-benzylprolyl)aminobenzophenone ((S)-BBP) and amino acids of general formula [Ni((S)-BBP-L-(or D-)-aa)] were prepared. The crystal and molecular structures of [Ni((S)-BBP-Gly)], [Ni((S)-BBP-L-Ser)] and [Ni((S)-BBP-L-aaIm)](aaIm =L-2-amino-3-(imidazol-1-yl)propanoate were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. In the three complexes the nickel atoms display a square-planar coordination and the overall structure around the metal indicates that the entire Schiff-base ligands form quite rigid frameworks. Molecular mechanics calculations were carried out for complexes [Ni((S)-BBP-Gly)], [Ni((S)-BBP-Ser)] and [Ni((S)-BBP-aaIm)] containing either the L- or D-amino acid forms, and the factors controlling the stereoselectivity are discussed. Several other [Ni((S)-BBP-L-aa)] complexes are also prepared and their circular dichroism spectra in solution and of the solids dispersed in KBr disks are measured and discussed. In agreement with other studies in solution with similar [Ni((S)-BBP-aa)] complexes, the Cotton effects for the bands with lambda(max) at 520--530 nm are positive when the amino acids have the L-configuration at the alpha-carbon. We present for the first time experimental evidence of fluorescence lifetime enhancement of organic chromophores attached to metal nanospheres via radiative decay engineering. The hybrid system (HS) was a modified "diconjugated" molecular probe, 4-acetamido-4'-maleimidylstilbene-2,2'-dithiol (AMDT), covalently bound to the surface of 5-nm-diameter Au nanospheres by its two sulfur atoms, at a distance d < 1 nm and with its molecular axis parallel to the surface of the nanoparticle surface. We measured a fluorescence lifetime increase of a factor of 2 at room temperature (tau(AMDT) = (4.32 +/- 0.10) ns and tau(HS) = (8.73 +/- 0.23) ns) and a factor of 3.4 at 4.2 K (tau(AMDT) = (2.64 +/- 0.07) ns and tau(HS) = (7.96 +/- 0.14) ns). We also found that the fluorescence quantum yield of this hybrid system is not reduced, proof of a weak energy transfer between the molecular probe and the nanoparticle. These results demonstrate that a molecular dipole oriented parallel to the metal surface tends to be reduced by the coupling with its image. 相似文献

We present a theoretical study of the electronic and mechanical properties of graphyne-based nanotubes (GNTs). These semiconducting nanotubes result from the elongation of one-third of the covalent interconnections of graphite-based nanotubes by the introduction of yne groups. The effect of charge injection on the dimensions of GNTs was investigated using tight-binding calculations. Low amounts of electron injection are predicted to cause qualitatively different responses for armchair and zigzag graphyne nanotubes. Although the behavior is qualitatively similar to the usual carbon nanotubes, the charge-induced strains are predicted to be smaller for the GNTs than for ordinary single walled carbon nanotubes. 相似文献

A novel strategy for the optimization of wavelet transforms with respect to the statistics of the data set in multivariate calibration problems is proposed. The optimization follows a linear semi-infinite programming formulation, which does not display local maxima problems and can be reproducibly solved with modest computational effort. After the optimization, a variable selection algorithm is employed to choose a subset of wavelet coefficients with minimal collinearity. The selection allows the building of a calibration model by direct multiple linear regression on the wavelet coefficients. In an illustrative application involving the simultaneous determination of Mn, Mo, Cr, Ni, and Fe in steel samples by ICP-AES, the proposed strategy yielded more accurate predictions than PCR, PLS, and nonoptimized wavelet regression. 相似文献

A study on the preparation of N-alkylglycines (peptoids) that contain tertiary amino residues on the N-alkyl side chains is reported. The appropriate combination of the submonomer strategy with N-alkylglycine monomer couplings depending upon the structure of the N-alkyl side chain that must be incorporated into the peptoid is determinant for the efficiency of the synthetic pathway. The application of this strategy to the preparation of SICHI, an N-alkyglycine trimer containing tertiary amino residues in the three N-alkyl branches, and that has been identified as a potent Semaphorin 3A inhibitor, is presented. 相似文献

The wavelet transform has been shown to be a useful tool for multivariate calibration. However, the choice of wavelet transform settings (wavelet family, length and number of decomposition levels) for a given application is still an open problem. The present paper proposes an alternative approach, which consists of generating an ensemble model by combining individual models obtained with different wavelet transform settings. The advantages of the proposed method are demonstrated in two analytical problems, namely the determination of moisture and protein in wheat by near infrared spectroscopy and the determination of specific mass and three distillation temperatures (T10, T50, T90) in gasoline by middle infrared spectroscopy. In these problems, the results varied considerably among individual models, which underlines the risk associated to an inadequate choice of wavelet transform settings. In contrast, the ensemble model always provided adequate results in terms of prediction error and noise sensitivity. The proposed method can be seen as an advantageous alternative for multivariate calibration in the wavelet domain, as it frees the analyst from the need to choose a particular configuration for the wavelet transform. 相似文献

This work reports solubility data of methane and carbon dioxide in ethylene glycol and the Henry’s law constant of each solute in the studied solvent at saturation pressure. The measurements were performed at (303, 323, 373, 398, and 423.15) K and pressures up to 6.3 MPa for mixtures containing carbon dioxide and pressures up to 13.7 MPa for mixtures containing methane. The experiments were performed in an autoclave type phase equilibrium apparatus using the total pressure method (synthetic method). All investigated systems show an increase of gas solubility with the increase of pressure. A decrease of carbon dioxide solubility with the increase of temperature and an increase of methane solubility with the increase of temperature was observed. From the variation of solubility with temperature, the partial molar enthalpy, and entropy change are calculated. 相似文献
