The use of multiresolution decompositions in the context of finite volume schemes for conservation laws was first proposed by A. Harten for the purpose of accelerating the evaluation of numerical fluxes through an adaptive computation. In this approach the solution is still represented at each time step on the finest grid, resulting in an inherent limitation of the potential gain in memory space and computational time. The present paper is concerned with the development and the numerical analysis of fully adaptive multiresolution schemes, in which the solution is represented and computed in a dynamically evolved adaptive grid. A crucial problem is then the accurate computation of the flux without the full knowledge of fine grid cell averages. Several solutions to this problem are proposed, analyzed, and compared in terms of accuracy and complexity.

This paper presents the application of coherent vortex simulation (CVS) filtering, based on an orthogonal wavelet decomposition of vorticity, to study mixing in 2D homogeneous isotropic turbulent flows. The Eulerian and Lagrangian dynamics of the flow are studied by comparing the evolution of a passive scalar and of particles advected by the coherent and incoherent velocity fields, respectively. The former is responsible for strong mixing and produces the same anomalous diffusion as the total flow, due to transport by the coherent vortices, while mixing in the latter is much weaker and corresponds to classical diffusion.  相似文献

The dielectric studies of four components mixtures are rarely made on a great deal of concentrations. The authors propose a dielectric behavior study of mixtures made with toluene-water-butanol-SDS, from specific mappings of permittivities which are plotted on pseudo ternary diagrams at 9.455 GHz. They draw different conclusions to know how at 9.455 GHz the variations of real and imaginary parts of permittivity involve the concentration of each component and the structure of the mixture.These conclusions will be perfected by studies made at other frequencies and by spectral analysis of each mixture.  相似文献

Cod and salmon are both widely found in the seafood market, but those products are easily spoiled. This work reports on the investigation of the effects of three moderate pressure values (150, 300 and 450?MPa) applied for 5?min at 20°C on crude sliced cod and salmon fillets. It was found that high pressure processing (HPP) significantly reduced the microbial load during refrigerated storage for up to 14 days. As expected, the most effective treatment was 450?MPa because it inhibited microbial growth. This process affected the hardness, lightness, lipid oxidation, protein denaturation and oxidation. The fish muscle composition (lipid amount and protein profile) played a main role in the changes promoted by pressure. HPP permits the shelf life of the raw product at 4°C to be increased with minimal changes in the organoleptic characteristics and to enable crude consumption.  相似文献

Skeletal tissues associate in close interaction, a dense organic matrix and a mineral network. In bone, the major structural protein is type I collagen, associated with inorganic crystals of hydroxyapatite. The three-dimensional arrangement of collagen fibrils in compact bone forms regularly ordered networks and a parallel was evidenced between these structures and molecular assemblies described in liquid crystals. Similar structures are now obtained in vitro. Indeed, when purified type I collagen is highly concentrated in an acid soluble state, the protein spontaneously assembles into ordered liquid crystalline phases. After a sol/gel transition triggered by pH increase, biomimetic materials are formed which resemble the exact compact bone matrix architecture over distances reaching centimetres and more. The properties of these highly ordered materials will be reviewed recalling their supramolecular arrangement and the corresponding patterns when visualised in polarised light microscopy (birefringence) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The association of inorganic phases (amorphous silica) to form chiral hybrid materials will also be described so as the behaviour of cells (fibroblast adhesion and migration) when seeded on these dense biomimetic matrices.  相似文献
