In this work, we describe the insertion of a water-soluble bisadduct fulleropyrrolidine derivative into the interlayer space of three layered smectite clays. The composites were characterized by a combination of powder X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoemission and FTIR spectroscopies, and laser flash photolysis measurements. The experiments, complemented by computer simulations, give insight into the formation process, structural details, and properties of the fullerene/clay nanocomposites. The reported composite materials constitute a new hybrid system, where C(60) differs from its crystals or its solutions, and open new perspectives for the design and construction of novel C(60)-based organic/clay hybrid materials. 相似文献

The system is considered on a finite interval witha two-parameter family of physically meaningful boundary conditionscontaining damping terms. The controls are introduced as separableforcing terms gi(x)fi(t), i = 1, 2, on the right-hand sidesof both equations. The force profile functions gi(x), i = 1,2, are assumed to be given. To construct the controls fi(t),i = 1, 2, which bring a given initial state of the system tozero on the specific time interval [0, T], the spectral decompositionmethod has been applied. The approach, used in the present paper,is based on the results obtained in the recent works by theauthor and the collaborators. In these works, the detailed asymptoticand spectral analyses of the non-self-adjoint operators generatingthe dynamics of the coupled beam have been carried out. It hasbeen shown that for each set of the boundary parameters, theaforementioned operator is Riesz spectral, i.e. its generalizedeigenvectors form a Riesz basis in the energy space. Explicitasymptotic formulas for the two-branch spectrum have also beenderived. Based on these spectral results, the control problemhas been reduced to the corresponding moment problem. To solvethis moment problem, the asymptotical representation of thespectrum and the Riesz basis property of the generalized eigenvectorshave been used. The necessary and/or sufficient conditions forthe exact controllability are proven in the paper and the explicitformulas for the control laws are given. Metabolomics is the downstream of systems biology and has drawn significant interest for studying the metabolic networks from cells to organisms. To profile the metabolites in two different cell lines (A549 and AGS) infected with influenza A virus, gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was employed. Some differentiating metabolites in the cell lines were tentatively identified using reference library, interpreted and visualized by applying principal components analysis (PCA) and cluster heat map. Consequently, metabolic flux profiling allowed the differentiation of fatty acid biosynthesis and cholesterol metabolism during viral replication in the cell lines. The change in fatty acid turnover was also observed. Metabolomics investigation also revealed the different responses between A549 and AGS cell lines to the virus infection. From the pattern recognition results, AGS cell line might be more susceptible to influenza A virus. Regarding the fact that AGS is a poorly differentiated gastric adenocarcinoma cell line whereas A549 is a relatively differentiated lung tumor one, it is speculated that viral replication might be associated with the cell differentiations. 相似文献

Titanium tetrachloride reacts with 2,6-bis[(1-phenylimino)ethyl]pyridine, 1, and 2,6-bis[1-(2,6-diisopropylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine, 2, giving the adducts of general formulae [Ti1Cl3]Cl, 3, and [Ti2Cl3]Cl, 6, the latter through the intermediacy of the covalently bonded [Ti2Cl4], 4. Heating 6 leads to reduction to the titanium(III) derivative [Ti2Cl3], 12, the latter characterized by X-ray diffraction methods. The reaction of [Ti1Cl3]Cl with a toluene solution of MAO proceeds with methylation at the ortho-position of the pyridine ring to give the titanium(iv) derivative [Ti(C22H21N3)Cl3], 8. The reaction of [Ti2Cl3]Cl with MAO gives a mixture of products containing [Ti2Cl2(OAlCl3)], 9. Compound 9, which has been prepared independently by reacting 6 with AlOCl, is a rare case of a compound containing the -OAlCl3 moiety, as shown by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. From the tetrachlorides of zirconium and hafnium with 1 or 2, the corresponding adducts [M(L)Cl4] have been obtained in high yields. These derivatives of Group 4 metals act as ethylene polymerization catalytic precursors: the substitution of the phenyl ring of the imino fragment strongly influences the catalytic activity which is 5,544 kg(PE) mol(Ti)(-1) h(-1) in the case of 3 and 267 kg(PE) mol(Ti)(-1) h(-1) with 6. Cerebrovascular control is carried out by multiple nonlinear mechanisms imposing a certain degree of coupling between mean arterial pressure (MAP) and mean cerebral blood flow (MCBF). We explored the ability of two nonlinear tools in the information domain, namely cross-approximate entropy (CApEn) and cross-sample entropy (CSampEn), to assess the degree of asynchrony between the spontaneous fluctuations of MAP and MCBF. CApEn and CSampEn were computed as a function of the translation time. The analysis was carried out in 23 subjects undergoing recordings at rest in supine position (REST) and during active standing (STAND), before and after surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR). We found that at REST the degree of asynchrony raised, and the rate of increase in asynchrony with the translation time decreased after SAVR. These results are likely the consequence of the limited variability of MAP observed after surgery at REST, more than the consequence of a modified cerebrovascular control, given that the observed differences disappeared during STAND. CApEn and CSampEn can be utilized fruitfully in the context of the evaluation of cerebrovascular control via the noninvasive acquisition of the spontaneous MAP and MCBF variability. 相似文献

Taking into account that many advantages have been associated with the consumption of spirulina (microalgae) in terms of antioxidant capacity, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging activities, the study focuses on spirulina supplementation of semolina-based pasta. Fresh pasta was prepared by mixing semolina flour (Triticum durum) with an addition of 3, 5, 7, and 10% (w/w) of spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) powder. Physicochemical and nutritional analyses were done on raw materials, and on fresh pasta before and after cooking. Sensorial analysis was done shortly after cooking pastas. Spirulina had a high content of protein (71.34%), with all the essential amino acids, a high total fiber (8.45%), as well as ash content (5.93%), which significantly increased the nutritional value of the obtained fresh pasta. Supplemented pastas have a significantly better amino acid profile and higher total fiber content (up to 2.99 g/100 g d.m.) than the control sample. Moreover, the addition of spirulina had a significant effect on the pasta’s color, weight gain, and cooking loss after being cooked. The addition of spirulina also affected the scores obtained for the individual parameters (texture, color, flavor, taste, and overall acceptability) of the sensory evaluation. 相似文献

Propolis is a natural bee product that is widely used in folk medicine. This study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities of ethanolic extract of propolis (EEP) on methicillin-resistant and sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA and MSSA). Propolis samples were collected from six regions in Hungary. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) values and the interaction of EEP-antibiotics were evaluated by the broth microdilution and the chequerboard broth microdilution methods, respectively. The effect of EEP on biofilm formation and eradication was estimated by crystal violet assay. Resazurin/propidium iodide dyes were applied for simultaneous quantification of cellular metabolic activities and dead cells in mature biofilms. The EEP1 sample showed the highest phenolic and flavonoid contents. The EEP1 successfully prevented the growth of planktonic cells of S. aureus (MIC value = 50 µg/mL). Synergistic interactions were shown after the co-exposition to EEP1 and vancomycin at 108 CFU/mL. The EEP1 effectively inhibited the biofilm formation and caused significant degradation of mature biofilms (50–200 µg/mL), as a consequence of the considerable decrement of metabolic activity. The EEP acts effectively as an antimicrobial and antibiofilm agent on S. aureus. Moreover, the simultaneous application of EEP and vancomycin could enhance their effect against MRSA infection. 相似文献
