A series of 2‐(substituted phenyl)‐1H‐benzimidazole derivatives with various 5‐and 6‐position substituents (‐H, ‐CH3, ‐CF3) were synthesized via microwave irradiation using a short synthetic route and Na2S2O5 as oxidant. This simple, fast, and efficient preparation of benzimidazole derivatives has been developed using readily available and inexpensive reagents (aldehydes and 1,2‐phenylenediamines) under solvent‐free conditions.  相似文献

This work complements a quantitative thermogravimetric study of the first 24 h of hydration of a high initial strength and sulphate resistant Portland cement (HS SR PC) using non-conventional differential thermal analysis (NCDTA) and Vicat needle method. Different water/cement (W/C) ratios from 0.35 to 0.85 were used to evaluate the most indicated operating conditions to maximize calcium hydroxide production for further use in CO2 capture. Thermogravimetric analysis data performed at 4 and 24 h of hydration were also compared to the NCDTA and Vicat data for each kind of paste, to analyze the influence of the W/C ratio on the simultaneous hydration and setting process. The increase of the W/C ratio increases the induction time retards the solidification and setting processes but increases the hydration degree as the W/C ratio is increased from 0.45. At 24 h, products prepared with 0.35 W/C ratio present a little higher hydration degree than those prepared with W/C = 0.45, because of the highest level of temperature in the reacting mixture in the former case, during the first 8 h. There is a practical limit of W/C = 0.66 to prepare the pastes, due to a limit of the miscibility between HS SR PC and water, above which, the excess of water forms a separated phase that does not interfere in the hydration process.  相似文献

New complexes [FeO(DMBG)]2 and [Fe(DMBG)2]Cl·0.5H2O (HDMBG: N,N-dimethylbiguanide) have been synthesized and characterized by microanalytical, IR and UV–Vis data. Electronic spectra of the complexes are characteristic for a tetrahedral stereochemistry, whilst the modifications in the IR spectra indicate the presence of the DMBG anion as chelate. The thermal decomposition investigated in air by thermal analysis confirmed the proposed formulas for the complexes and provided information concerning the modifications during heating and also the thermodynamic effects accompanying them. The thermal transformations are complex, according to TG and DTG curves including dehydration, hydrochloric acid elimination, oxidative degradation and condensation of –C=N– unit. The final product of decomposition was iron (III) oxide as powder XRD indicates. Complexes were screened for their antimicrobial properties against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacterial, as well as fungal pathogenic strains. The results indicate that Fe(III) complexes exhibit an improved antibacterial activity against S. aureus and E. coli strains in comparison with free biguanide. The Fe(III) complexes also inhibit the ability of S. aureus, B. subtilis, P. aeruginosa and E. coli strains to colonize the inert substratum, accounting for their possible use as anti-biofilm agents.  相似文献

Different molecular weight chitosans were evaluated on the decay of coated Anquito squashes (Cucurbita moschata) as well as the maintenance of the fruit quality along five storage months. The original chitosan (Mw=391 kDa, 83% DD), was depolymerized by gamma radiation. Apart from chain scission, other chemical changes were not detected by FTIR or UV–vis analyses. The molecular weight characterization of chitosans was done by size exclusion chromatography with dual light scattering and concentration detection (SEC-MALLS-RI). The coating effectiveness was evaluated on the following parameters: fungal decay incidence, weight loss, firmness, total reducing sugar, soluble solid, flesh color, carotene content, pH and titratable acidity. No sign of fungal decay was observed in squashes coated with 122 and 56 kDa chitosans, which were also the most effective treatments in reducing the weight loss. The chitosan with Mw=122 kDa was also the best treatment considering firmness, internal aspect, sugar and carotene content. Then, radiation degraded chitosan was better in C. moschata preservation than the original chitosan.  相似文献

A novel ion imprinted polyvinylimidazole-silica hybrid copolymer (IIHC) was synthesized and used as a selective solid sorbent for Pb(2+) ions preconcentration using an on-line solid phase extraction (SPE) system coupled to TS-FF-AAS. The ionic hybrid sorbent was prepared using 1-vinylimidazole and 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propylmethacrylate as monomers, Pb(2+) ions as template, tetraethoxysilane as reticulating agent and 2,2'-azobis-isobutyronitrile as initiator. The best on-line SPE conditions concerning sorption behavior, including sample pH (6.46), buffer concentration (9.0 mmol L(-1)), eluent (HNO(3)) concentration (0.5 mol L(-1)) and preconcentration flow rate (4.0 mL min(-1)), were optimized by means of full factorial design and Doehlert matrix. The analytical curve ranged from 2.5 to 65.0 μg L(-1) (r=0.999) with limit of detection of 0.75 μg L(-1); the precision (repeatability) calculated as relative standard deviation (n=10) was 5.0 and 3.6% for Pb(2+) concentration of 10.0 and 60.0 μg L(-1), respectively. From on-line breakthrough curve, column capacity was 3.5 mg g(-1). Preconcentration factor (PF), consumptive index (CI) and concentration efficiency (CE) were 128.0, 0.16 mL and 25.6 min(-1), respectively. The selective performance of the sorbent, based on relative selectivity coefficient, was compared to NIC (non imprinted copolymer) for the binary mixture Pb(2+)/Cd(2+), Pb(2+)/Cu(2+) and Pb(2+)/Zn(2+). The results showed that ion imprinted polyvinylimidazole-silica hybrid polymer had higher selectivity for Pb(2+) than NIC at 64.9, 16.0 and 8.8 folds. The developed method was successfully applied for highly sensitive and selective Pb(2+) determination in different kinds of water samples, parenteral solutions and urine. Accuracy was also assessed by analyzing certified reference fish protein (DORM-3) and marine sediment (MESS-3 and PACS-2) with satisfactory results.  相似文献

As majority of polyheteroarylenes based on bis(naphthalic anhydrides), are difficult to process due to their infusiblity and insolubility in common organic solvents and solubility only in strong acids, this study is concerned with the synthesis and properties of new, easily processable polyimides and copolyimides containing naphthalene and oxadiazole rings. These polymers have been synthesized and their properties have been compared with regard to the influence of oxadiazole and naphthalene units on their physical properties. The polyimides were prepared by polycondensation reaction in solution of the aromatic diamines containing preformed oxadiazole ring with two dianhydrides having naphthalene units, at high temperature. Also, copolyimides were prepared by using a mixture of each naphthalene‐containing dianhydride, with hexafluoroisopropylidene‐dianhydride in the polycondensation reaction with the same diamino‐oxadiazoles. Most of the resulting polyimides and copolyimides were soluble in polar amidic solvents and in less polar solvents, and their solutions gave flexible films when spread onto glass plates. The thermal stability and glass transition temperature of these polyimides and copolyimides were measured and compared. The quality and the roughness of the spin‐coated films of these polymers were investigated by atomic force microscopy. The photoluminescence properties of the polymers in solution were studied to determine the color of emission. The UV absorption was also studied to determine the Stokes shift, and hence the possible reabsorption effects. The aim of this study was to compare the influence of the extraction method, chemical composition, antimicrobial effects, antioxidant activity, and cytotoxicity on human cells of the non-polar extracts of grape (Vitis labrusca) and blackberry (Rubus fruticosus) seeds. The Soxhlet (Sox), Bligh–Dyer (BD), and ultrasound (US) methods were used for extractions. For blackberry non-polar seed extract, extraction via the BD method showed the highest mean values of total phenolic content (TPC), expressed in milligrams of gallic acid equivalent per 100 mL of non-polar seed extracts (102.37 mg GAE/100 mL), and higher antioxidant activity in relation to the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, expressed in milligrams of gallic acid equivalent per 100 mL of non-polar seed extracts (11.50 mg AAE/100 mL), if compared with the Sox and US extractions. Similar results were obtained for the non-polar grape seed extracts, where BD extraction obtained the highest values for TPC (28.61 mg GAE/100 mL) and DPPH (35.36 mg AAE/100 mL). The type of extraction method had an impact on the composition of fatty acids. Only the non-polar blackberry and grape seed extracts obtained via the Sox method showed some in vitro inhibitory effect against Escherichia coli (IAL 2064) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 13565). Regardless of the extraction method used, the non-polar blackberry and grape seed extracts did not decrease the cell viability (IC50 >1000 µg/mL) of cancer and normal cell lines, thus indicating the relative safety of the extracts. All the seed extracts decreased the generation of reactive oxygen species in the cell lines. Blackberry and grape seed lipid fractions can be utilized as antioxidants, and the extraction methods used cause significant changes in relation to their bioactivity and chemical composition.  相似文献

Niclosamide suffers pseudopolymorphic transformations when exposed to different ambient conditions, which can lead to changes in its bioavailability. In this study, the kinetics of the pseudopolymorphic transitions of niclosamide crystals are characterized. FT‐Raman spectroscopy is used to quantify the anhydrate and hydrate forms of niclosamide crystals, mostly because of its high sensitivity to the strong intermolecular interactions present in these systems. The samples are exposed to well‐characterized relative humidity (RH) conditions during different periods of time and both water diffusion and polymorphic changes are monitored from the corresponding changes observed in the vibrational spectra. Both hydration and dehydration were found to be single‐step processes, with a half‐life time of ca. 142 and 63 h, respectively, at 24 °C. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We consider the problem of determining the spectrum for the linearization of an infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian system about a spatially periodic traveling wave. By using a Bloch-wave decomposition, we recast the problem as determining the point spectra for a family of operators JγLγ, where Jγ is skew-symmetric with bounded inverse and Lγ is symmetric with compact inverse. Our main result relates the number of unstable eigenvalues of the operator JγLγ to the number of negative eigenvalues of the symmetric operator Lγ. The compactness of the resolvent operators allows us to greatly simplify the proofs, as compared to those where similar results are obtained for linearizations about localized waves. The theoretical results are general, and apply to a larger class of problems than those considered herein. The theory is applied to a study of the spectra associated with periodic and quasi-periodic solutions to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, as well as periodic solutions to the generalized Korteweg-de Vries equation with power nonlinearity.  相似文献

Physicochemical properties of Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) (RF), in Dextran 70 (Dx70) (a biological relevant glucidic type macromolecule) and Human Serum Albumin (HSA) (a carrier/transport protein) based system, have been studied by absorption, fluorescence, circular dichroism and electrochemistry. No significant changes on the fluorescence of RF in Dx70/HSA systems with and without the influence of temperature (30–60 °C range) were observed. No changes on the intrinsic Tryptophan fluorescence in Dx70/RF/HSA system, have been evidenced. HSA secondary structure when RF binds in Dx70/RF/HSA systems, with a renaturation effect of Dx70, was found. In Dx70/RF/HSA system the major process which RF undergoes is the proton transfer, Ered = ?0.43 V. Using the chemiluminescence method, an improvement of the antioxidant activity of RF into the Dx70/RF/HSA system, was also found. RF concentration in Dx70/RF/HSA systems is important in RF oxidative damages when it reacts with target molecules and thus promotes their oxidation. The results have relevance in the oxidative stress process and in pharmaceutical formulations containing RF.  相似文献
