A mechanical switch in a [2]catenane , made up of a cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene) tetracation interlocked with a macrocyclic polyether containing a redox-active tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) unit and a 1,5-dioxynaphthalene ring system, can be thrown either chemically or electrochemically. The neutral TTF unit resides “inside” the tetracationic cyclophane in the reduced state and “alongside” it in the oxidized species (TTF+/ TTF2+). Switching between the reduced (I4+) and oxidized state (I5+(I6+)) is accompanied by a dramatic color change. 相似文献

Protonation equilibria in dilute dichloromethane solution of a shape‐persistent macrocycle bearing two 2,2′‐bipyridine units and two Coumarin 2 moieties (see figure) can be exploited to mimic decoding operations.
CdSe/CdS dot/rods nanocrystals show interesting physical properties related to the band-alignment at the hetero-interface, which controls the band-edge electron delocalization over the rods. Here the differential transmission spectra of CdSe/CdS nanorod samples with different core sizes have been measured using excitation resonant to the core transition. The photo bleaching ratio between dot and rod transitions increases with the dot size, indicating a trend towards electron localization. This trend has been further quantified by performing effective mass calculations in which the conduction band misalignment was varied in order to reproduce the observed bleaching feature ratio. The best agreement was found for negligible conduction band misalignment for small dots of around 2.3 nm in diameter, and about -0.1 eV misalignment was estimated for the larger dots, above 3.5 nm in diameter. This shows that the band misalignment might be dependent on the geometry of the system, and we argue that this might be related to different strain developed at the hetero-interface. 相似文献
The chemical analysis of the ascidian Aplidium fuegiense resulted in the isolation of three novel meroterpenoids 2–4, structurally related to the main co-occurring known rossinone B (1). The structures of the new compounds were determined by interpretation of spectroscopic data. Compounds 1–4 were found to be selectively localized in the viscera of the ascidian. 相似文献
An initial study has been accomplished into the synthetic feasibility of the preparation of diarylcarbenium salt via the direct coupling of aryl (or heteroaryl) aldehydes and arenes (or heteroaryl analogues) in the presence of a strong organic Br?nsted acid. A number of stabilized aryl or heteroaryl(3-indolyl)carbenium ions, never previously prepared in the solid state, have been isolated in excellent yields as highly stable o-benzenedisulfonimide salts and have been fully characterized. Their purity has been proven by spectroscopic methods and chemical reduction with NaBH(4). An X-ray crystal structure analysis has been performed on one of the products: an azafulvenium species was shown to be the exclusive structure in the solid state. 相似文献
In several of his artworks, for instance the Venezie cycle, Fontana employed metallic paints; previous investigations on such materials highlighted the use of different synthetic binders and of thick paint layers below the metal one, having different colours to change the visual perception of the metallic surface. In the present work, a monochrome silver “Concetto spaziale” by the Italo–Argentine artist belonging to a private collection recently gifted to the museum of the Church of San Fedele in Milano, Italy, was investigated to deepen the knowledge of this particular group of Fontana’s paintings. The artwork was initially visually inspected in visible and ultraviolet (UV) light. Subsequently, a non-invasive spectroscopic investigation was performed by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), reflection Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy. A minute fragment of silver-coloured paint was taken from the reverse of the painting, near the cut edge, and examined by scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM-EDX) and micro-Fourier-transform Raman (FT-Raman) spectroscopy. The analytical data made it possible to identify the composition of the metallic paint layer and of the underlying dark one, both from the point of view of the pigments and of the binders used, also highlighting the potential of the non-invasive and micro-invasive methods adopted in the investigation. 相似文献
