This paper is devoted to study the behavior, in the range of linear viscoelasticity, of shear flexible thin-walled beam members constructed with composite laminated fiber-reinforced plastics. This work appeals to the correspondence principle in order to incorporate in unified model the motion equations of a curved or straight shear-flexible thin-walled beam member developed by the authors, together with the micromechanics and macromechanics of the reinforced plastic panels. Then, the analysis is performed in the Laplace or Carson domains. That is, the expressions describing the micromechanics and macromechanics of a plastic laminated composites and motion equations of the structural member are transformed into the Laplace or Carson domains where the relaxation components of the beam structure (straight or curved) are obtained. The resulting equations are numerically solved by means of finite element approaches defined in the Laplace or Carson domains. The finite element results are adjusted with a polynomial fitting. Then the creep behavior is obtained by means of a numerical technique for the inverse Laplace transform. Predictions of the present methodology are compared with experimental data and other approaches. New studies are performed focusing attention in the flexural–torsional behavior of shear flexible thin-walled straight composite beams as well as for thin-walled curved beams and frames.  相似文献

The development of methodologies for the characterization of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) synthesized using natural products has received increasing attention, especially to monitoring its stability and size for further application. In this paper, a capillary electrophoretic (CE) method is presented for characterization of AgNPs synthesized using honey or glucose as reducing agents. A simple electrolyte solution composed of 20 mM sodium borate and 20 mM sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) at pH 8.5 was used for separation of AgNPs within a short analysis time (<12 min). The obtained results were compared with the traditional characterization techniques, such as transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS), showing satisfactory correlation in terms of size distribution. In addition, valuable information about electrophoretic mobility and zeta potential values of AgNPs was obtained by applying the CE-UV/Vis method. Thus, the proposed methodology represents a straightforward tool for the fast and cost-effective characterization of AgNPs within a single analysis, employing minimal amounts of reagents and samples.  相似文献

Recent developments in wastewater treatment have led to a renewed interest to obtain elemental sulphur (S°) as a by-product from bioreactors. However, practical studies are limited by the gap of adequate analytical techniques for its determination. This paper provides a statistical study and matrix effect evaluation of an adapted spectrophotometric method for routine S° analyses in aqueous samples, based on a methodology previously described by Hart (1961). Four complex matrices were tested: domestic sewage and effluent samples from three different bioreactors. Tested performance criteria included linearity, matrix effect, limit of detection and quantification and S° recovery. Results were linear (R2 = 0.99994) in the studied range (5 to 100 mg S° L?1) and no matrix effect was observed. The accuracy was based on recovery values that varied from 100% to 106%. The colloidal S° separation and extraction protocol was also considered suitable for aqueous samples, reaching more than 99.0% of S° recovery.  相似文献

The human macrophage galactose-type lectin (MGL), expressed on macrophages and dendritic cells (DCs), modulates distinct immune cell responses by recognizing N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) containing structures present on pathogens, self-glycoproteins, and tumor cells. Herein, NMR spectroscopy and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were used to investigate the structural preferences of MGL against different GalNAc-containing structures derived from the blood group A antigen, the Forssman antigen, and the GM2 glycolipid. NMR spectroscopic analysis of the MGL carbohydrate recognition domain (MGL-CRD, C181-H316) in the absence and presence of methyl α-GalNAc (α-MeGalNAc), a simple monosaccharide, shows that the MGL-CRD is highly dynamic and its structure is strongly altered upon ligand binding. This plasticity of the MGL-CRD structure explains the ability of MGL to accommodate different GalNAc-containing molecules. However, key differences are observed in the recognition process depending on whether the GalNAc is part of the blood group A antigen, the Forssman antigen, or GM2-derived structures. These results are in accordance with molecular dynamics simulations that suggest the existence of a distinct MGL binding mechanism depending on the context of GalNAc moiety presentation. These results afford new perspectives for the rational design of GalNAc modifications that fine tune MGL immune responses in distinct biological contexts, especially in malignancy.  相似文献

Ultrasound treatment favors enzymatic attack on vegetal materials and influences biological activity. The objective of this study was to develop substrates for Saccharomyces cerevisiae based on the hydrothermal treatment and ultrasound treatment of pine needle biomass. The samples subjected to ultrasound treatment at 550?°C and 650?°C showed higher reflectance bands at around 200?nm after 80?min of ultrasound treatment and lower band gap energies associated with lower IC30 values. The hydrothermal treatment with 100?min of ultrasound treatment generated more promising materials for the use of the substrates with the eukaryotic model S. cerevisiae.  相似文献

We show that a newly proposed Shannon-like entropic measure of shape complexity applicable to spatially-localized or periodic mathematical functions known as configurational entropy (CE) can be used as a predictor of spontaneous decay rates for one-electron atoms. The CE is constructed from the Fourier transform of the atomic probability density. For the hydrogen atom with degenerate states labeled with the principal quantum number n, we obtain a scaling law relating the n-averaged decay rates to the respective CE. The scaling law allows us to predict the n-averaged decay rate without relying on the traditional computation of dipole matrix elements. We tested the predictive power of our approach up to n =?20, obtaining an accuracy better than 3.7% within our numerical precision, as compared to spontaneous decay tables listed in the literature.  相似文献

In this work, the influence of synthesis parameters on the synthesis efficiency of tin oxide nanomaterials was studied by using the carbothermal reduction method in a sealed tube furnace. The parameters were the starting material, temperature and time of synthesis as well as the gas flux. The starting material was tin dioxide mixed with carbon black in a molar proportion of 1.5:1 and 1:1. The temperature range was from 950 to 1,125 °C with a step of 25 °C, and the synthesis times used were 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, and 120 min. Using optimum values of the above parameters, the gas flux was changed to verify its influence. After completion of the syntheses, we found a grayish-black material inside the tube which was characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the collected material is composed of nanobelts (with width around 60 nm) and disks that grew preferentially in the SnO phase. A model based on the oxide vapor pressure was proposed to evaluate the efficiency of the process, and the results showed good agreement between experimental data and the proposed model. Based on the results obtained, the best conditions to obtain a homogeneous material with 95% efficiency is using a starting material in the molar proportion Sn:C of 1.5:1, a temperature of 1,132 °C for 75 min, and a N2 gas flux of 80 sccm.  相似文献

Characterization and testing of an L‐shaped laterally graded multilayer mirror are presented. This mirror is designed as a two‐dimensional collimating optics for the analyzer system of the ultra‐high‐resolution inelastic X‐ray scattering (IXS) spectrometer at National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS‐II). The characterization includes point‐to‐point reflectivity measurements, lattice parameter determination and mirror metrology (figure, slope error and roughness). The synchrotron X‐ray test of the mirror was carried out reversely as a focusing device. The results show that the L‐shaped laterally graded multilayer mirror is suitable to be used, with high efficiency, for the analyzer system of the IXS spectrometer at NSLS‐II.  相似文献

Background  

With the advent of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in awake animals it is possible to resolve patterns of neuronal activity across the entire brain with high spatial and temporal resolution. Synchronized changes in neuronal activity across multiple brain areas can be viewed as functional neuroanatomical circuits coordinating the thoughts, memories and emotions for particular behaviors. To this end, fMRI in conscious rats combined with 3D computational analysis was used to identifying the putative distributed neural circuit involved in aggressive motivation and how this circuit is affected by drugs that block aggressive behavior.  相似文献
