The dinuclear complex [(tpy)RuII(PCP-PCP)RuII(tpy)]Cl2 (bridging PCP-PCP = 3,3',5,5'-tetrakis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)biphenyl, [C6H2(CH2PPh2)2-3,5]22-) was prepared via a transcyclometalation reaction of the bis-pincer ligand [PC(H)P-PC(H)P] and the Ru(II) precursor [Ru(NCN)(tpy)]Cl (NCN = [C6H3(CH2NMe2)2-2,6]-) followed by a reaction with 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine (tpy). Electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of [(tpy)RuII(PCP-PCP)RuII(tpy)]Cl2 are compared with those of the closely related [(tpy)RuII(NCN-NCN)RuII(tpy)](PF6)2 (NCN-NCN = [C6H2(CH2NMe2)2-3,5]22-) obtained by two-electron reduction of [(tpy)RuIII(NCN-NCN)RuIII(tpy)](PF6)4. The molecular structure of the latter complex has been determined by single-crystal X-ray structure determination. One-electron reduction of [(tpy)RuIII(NCN-NCN)RuIII(tpy)](PF6)4 and one-electron oxidation of [(tpy)RuII(PCP-PCP)RuII(tpy)]Cl2 yielded the mixed-valence species [(tpy)RuIII(NCN-NCN)RuII(tpy)]3+ and [(tpy)RuIII(PCP-PCP)RuII(tpy)]3+, respectively. The comproportionation equilibrium constants Kc (900 and 748 for [(tpy)RuIII(NCN-NCN)RuIII(tpy)]4+ and [(tpy)RuII(PCP-PCP)RuII(tpy)]2+, respectively) determined from cyclic voltammetric data reveal comparable stability of the [RuIII-RuII] state of both complexes. Spectroelectrochemical measurements and near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy were employed to further characterize the different redox states with special focus on the mixed-valence species and their NIR bands. Analysis of these bands in the framework of Hush theory indicates that the mixed-valence complexes [(tpy)RuIII(PCP-PCP)RuII(tpy)]3+ and [(tpy)RuIII(NCN-NCN)RuII(tpy)]3+ belong to strongly coupled borderline Class II/Class III and intrinsically coupled Class III systems, respectively. Preliminary DFT calculations suggest that extensive delocalization of the spin density over the metal centers and the bridging ligand exists. TD-DFT calculations then suggested a substantial MLCT character of the NIR electronic transitions. The results obtained in this study point to a decreased metal-metal electronic interaction accommodated by the double-cyclometalated bis-pincer bridge when strong sigma-donor NMe2 groups are replaced by weak sigma-donor, pi-acceptor PPh2 groups.  相似文献

The equilibria and kinetics of the binding of gallium(III) to 4-(N),10-(N)-bis[2-(3-hydroxo-2-oxo-2-H-pyridine-1-y1)acetamido]-1,7-dimethyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane (L) were investigated in acidic medium at ionic strength 1 M (NaClO4). Spectrophotometric titrations in the UV region revealed that L is able to bind Ga3+ also at high H+ concentration. The kinetic (stopped-flow) experiments are interpreted on the basis of three parallel reaction paths (i) M3+ + H2L2+ = M(H2L)5+ where M(H2L)5+ is in a steady state, (ii) M(OH)2+ + H2L2+ = M(HL)4+ + H2O and (iii) M(OH)2+ + HL+ = ML3+ + H2O. The first-order rate constants for conversion of the outer-sphere into the inner-sphere complexes are similar to those of the Ga(III)/tropolone system which is known to react according to the dissociative Id mechanism and to the relevant rate constants for water exchange at the metal ion. The effects of pH on the UV-Vis absorption, fluorescence emission properties and NMR spectral features on the Ga(III)/L system were also investigated. Spectrophotometric titrations in the UV region reveal that, in acid medium the prevailing species is M(HL)4+ whereas the chelate ML3+ prevails for [H+] < 0.01 M. The results indicate metal coordination at the oxygen atoms of the 3-hydroxo-2-oxopyridine residues.  相似文献

The impedance of the cell Au/HClO4-5.5 H2O/Au was investigated in the frequency range 1 to 105 Hz between 4.2 and 300 K. The analysis of the data enables an evaluation of important electrolyte properties such as conductivity and dielectric constant in a wide range of temperatures, predominantly in the solid state of the electrolyte HClO4-5.5 H2O (Tf = 228 K). The double layer capacity of the gold electrodes was also determined; it shows a qualitatively similar result compared with previous measurements. In the solid state, the ionic conductivity exhibits two distinct activation energies of 0.37 and 0.54 eV corresponding to the two phases present in HClO4-5.5 H2O above and below 170 K. Below 120 K the activation energy becomes very small and tends to zero around 80 K indicating possible tunneling processes in the rigid H2O structure. At about the same temperature the dielectric constant reaches its low temperature limit with a value ≈ 11 which is considerably higher than the value of pure ice of ≈ 3.  相似文献

In this paper the (strict and weak) stationarity of threshold autoregressive moving average models is discussed. After examining the strict stationarity, mainly based on the random coefficient autoregressive representation of the model, we provide sufficient conditions for its weak stationarity that allow to obtain a wider stationarity region with respect to some previous results given in the literature. These conditions are discussed to distinguish between global and local stationarity, whose relation has been considered in detail. The threshold process has been further evaluated to face the problem related to the so called existence of a threshold structure in the data generating process that is strictly related to the stationarity and has significant relevance when the parameters of the model have to be estimated.  相似文献

The cobalt substituted polyoxotungstate [Co6(H2O)2(α-B-PW9O34)2(PW6O26)]17− ( Co6 ) displays fast electron transfer (ET) kinetics to photogenerated RuIII(bpy)33+, 4 to 5 orders of magnitude faster than the corresponding ET observed for cobalt oxide nanoparticles. Mechanistic evidence has been acquired indicating that: (i) the one-electron oxidation of Co6 involves Co(II) aquo or Co(II) hydroxo groups (abbreviated as Co6(II) −OH 2 and Co6(II) −OH, respectively, whose speciation in aqueous solution is associated to a pKa of 7.6), and generates a Co(III)−OH moiety ( Co6(III) −OH), as proven by transient absorption spectroscopy; (ii) at pH>pKa, the Co6(II) −OH→RuIII(bpy)33+ ET occurs via bimolecular kinetics, with a rate constant k close to the diffusion limit and dependent on the ionic strength of the medium, consistent with reaction between charged species; (iii) at pH <pKa, the process involves Co6(II) − OH2 → Co6(III)−OH transformation and proceeds via a multiple-site, concerted proton electron transfer (CPET) where water assists the transfer of the proton, as proven by the absence of effect of buffer base concentrations on the rate of the ET and by a H/D kinetic isotope in a range of 1.2–1.4. The reactivity of water is ascribed to its organization on the surface of the polyanionic scaffold through hydrogen bond networking involving the Co(II)−OH2 group.  相似文献

New copolymers of acrylamide and β-D -glucopyranoside were synthesized and characterized. The different reactivity of the two monomers towards radical polymerization meant we could control the growth of the polymer chains whose length was inversely related to the number of glucose residues incorporated in the copolymers. The properties of these polymers were investigated in the separation of oligonucleotides and double-stranded DNA by capillary electrophoresis (CE) in coated and uncoated capillaries. The new copolymers were a suitable matrix for CE due to their high-resolving capacity and low viscosity. We also looked into the advantages of a new method of dynamic suppression of electroosmotic flow based on the addition of small amounts (0.03–0.05%) of dimethylacrylamide to the sieving and to the running buffer. A complete test was run on the reproducibility and efficiency of separations carried out in a permanently and dynamically coated capillary, and the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods were compared.  相似文献

DNA fragment analysis requires the use of polymer solutions as sieving matrices. Generally, such matrices are constituted of high-molar-weight polymers employed at a concentration higher than their entanglement threshold concentration. These polymer solutions are highly viscous and difficult to use in the narrow channels of a microchip. Ultralarge polyacrylamides synthesized via a nonconventional method, being the low-temperature plasma-induced polymerization (PIP), were used as DNA sieving matrices for microchip electrophoresis. The distinctive features of these polymers (ultralarge molecular mass and linearity) allow their use at a dilute concentration. Dilute PIP polyacrylamides revealed a constant value of resolution in a broad range of DNA fragment sizes (123 bp-1353 bp), thus proving to be effective in common genotyping applications. Moreover, the low viscosity of the dilute solutions enable it to be easier and faster in filling the channel between runs, thus enhancing the throughput of the microchip devices.  相似文献

Alkylation of indoles by means of the Michael addition has been the subject of a number of investigation. It is well established that regioselectivity in the additions of indoles to electron-deficient alkenes is strongly controlled by the reaction medium. In a continuation of the work on developing greener and cleaner technologies, the cerium(III) chloride heptahydrate and sodium iodide combination supported on silica gel catalyzes the alkylation of various indoles with alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones giving 3-(3-oxoalkyl)indole derivatives in good yields. The substitution on the indole nucleus occurred exclusively at the 3-position, and N-alkylation products have not been observed.  相似文献

This study describes a comparison of different modes of open-tubular electrochromatography (OTCEC) in bare and etched capillaries. To carry out the investigation, the separation of impurities of two synthetic peptides and the separation of a mixture of five heterocyclic aromatic amines were studied. Three different types of stationary phase were evaluated: (i) fluorosurfactants (anionic and zwitterionic) adsorbed in the inner wall of the capillary (electrochromatography with dynamically modified stationary phases (DMS)CEC); (ii) physically adsorbed polymers (DMA-SO(3-) and DMA-N(+)(CH(3))(3)) and (iii) chemically modified capillaries (C(18), cholesteryl 10-undecanoate and diol). The results confirm that electrochromatography can be a viable alternative to capillary electrophoresis (CE) and liquid chromatography, more established separation techniques. It is possible to differentiate some minor species for the synthetic peptides that cannot be resolved by CE or high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Moreover the separation of the amine mixture depends strongly on the stationary phase used.  相似文献
