Pyrimethamine is an antimalarial drug. The cocrystal salt form of pyrimethamine with 3,5‐dihydroxybenzoic acid in water solvent has been synthesized, namely 2,4‐diamino‐5‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐6‐ethylpyrimidin‐1‐ium 3,5‐dihydroxybenzoate hemihydrate, C12H14ClN4+·C7H5O4?·0.5H2O. X‐ray diffraction data were collected at room temperature. Refinement of the crystal structure was carried out using the classical Independent Atom Model (IAM), while the electrostatic properties were studied by transferring electron‐density parameters from an electron‐density database. The Cl atom was refined anharmonically. The results of both refinement methods were compared. Topological analyses were carried out using Bader's theory of Atoms in Molecules (AIM). The three‐dimensional Hirshfeld surface analysis and the two‐dimensional fingerprint maps of individual molecules revealed that the crystal structures are dominated by H…O/O…H and H…H contacts. Other close contacts are also present, including weak C…H/H…C contacts. Charge transfer between the pyrimethamine and 3,5‐dihydroxybenzoic acid molecules results in a molecular assembly based on strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds. This is further validated by the calculation of the electrostatic potential based on transferred electron‐density parameters. The current work proves the significance of the transferability principle in studying the electron‐density‐derived properties of molecules in cases where high‐resolution diffraction data at low temperature are not available.  相似文献

This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy control application to support a vendor managed inventory (VMI). The methodology applies fuzzy control to generate an adaptive smoothing constant in the forecast method, production and delivery plan to eliminate, for example, the rationing and gaming or the Houlihan effect and the order batching effect or the Burbidge effects and finally the Bullwhip effect. The results show that the adaptive fuzzy VMI control surpasses fuzzy VMI control and traditional VMI in terms of mitigating the Bullwhip effect and lower delivery overshoots and backorders. This paper also guides management in allocating inventory by coordinating suppliers and buyers to ensure minimum inventory levels across a supply chain. Adaptive fuzzy VMI control is the main contribution of this paper.  相似文献

A simple approach for the growth of long-range highly ordered nanoporous anodic alumina film in H2SO4 electrolyte through a single step anodization without any additional pre-anodizing procedure is reported. Free-standing porous anodic alumina film of 180 μm thickness with through hole morphology was obtained. A simple and single step process was used for the detachment of alumina from aluminum substrate. The effect of anodizing conditions, such as anodizing voltage and time on the pore diameter and pore ordering is discussed. The metal/oxide and oxide/electrolyte interfaces were examined by high resolution scanning transmission electron microscope. The arrangement of pores on metal/oxide interface was well ordered with smaller diameters than that of the oxide/electrolyte interface. The inter-pore distance was larger in metal/oxide interface as compared to the oxide/electrolyte interface. The size of the ordered domain was found to depend strongly upon anodizing voltage and time.  相似文献

Tetrazoles are often used as metabolism-resistant isosteric replacements for carboxylic acids in SAR-driven medicinal chemistry analogue syntheses. Tetrazoles have not been found in nature; with rare exceptions, these compounds do not exhibit appreciable biological activity, but they are at the same time resistant to biological degradation. This property makes it possible to use tetrazoles as isosteric substituents of various functional groups in the development of biologically active substances. The tetrazole motif has been used in various drug pharmacophores as a suitable replacement of carboxylic acid moiety and different methods have been used for the synthesis of tetrazoles using different reaction conditions. This review tries to give a vivid look on the different synthetic methods, using catalysts or different reagents for the synthesis of tetrazoles. The biological importance of tetrazoles has also been highlighted.  相似文献

CdTe thin films were prepared onto water-white glass substrates by the close spaced sublimation technique. The films annealed right after the deposition were then immersed in copper nitrate solution for different periods of time. These films were again annealed at 500 oC for 1 h to ensure the diffusion of copper in the films. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The electron microprobe analyzer showed an increase of copper-content in composition. The dc electrical conductivity showed a credible increase with increasing copper-content in the films. With the increase of copper-content, the hole mobility increased systematically. The optical parameters were deduced by fitting the optical transmittance in the wavelength range 300–2500 nm.  相似文献

Precise information about protein locations in a cell facilitates in the understanding of the function of a protein and its interaction in the cellular environment. This information further helps in the study of the specific metabolic pathways and other biological processes. We propose an ensemble approach called "CE-PLoc" for predicting subcellular locations based on fusion of individual classifiers. The proposed approach utilizes features obtained from both dipeptide composition (DC) and amphiphilic pseudo amino acid composition (PseAAC) based feature extraction strategies. Different feature spaces are obtained by varying the dimensionality using PseAAC for a selected base learner. The performance of the individual learning mechanisms such as support vector machine, nearest neighbor, probabilistic neural network, covariant discriminant, which are trained using PseAAC based features is first analyzed. Classifiers are developed using same learning mechanism but trained on PseAAC based feature spaces of varying dimensions. These classifiers are combined through voting strategy and an improvement in prediction performance is achieved. Prediction performance is further enhanced by developing CE-PLoc through the combination of different learning mechanisms trained on both DC based feature space and PseAAC based feature spaces of varying dimensions. The predictive performance of proposed CE-PLoc is evaluated for two benchmark datasets of protein subcellular locations using accuracy, MCC, and Q-statistics. Using the jackknife test, prediction accuracies of 81.47 and 83.99% are obtained for 12 and 14 subcellular locations datasets, respectively. In case of independent dataset test, prediction accuracies are 87.04 and 87.33% for 12 and 14 class datasets, respectively.  相似文献

A simple and rapid spectrophotometric technique has been designed for the trace copper analysis employing 1-(2-Thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol (TAN) reagent in aqueous micellar solution of cetyl trimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as a surfactant. Copper complexed with 1-(2-Thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol to form bis[1-(2-Thiazolylazo)-2-naphthol]copper. The present spectrophotometric technique was very important since the micellar system was used in place of the toxic, high cost and time-consuming solvent extraction steps. The technique showed an enhanced detection efficiency, specificity, and molar absorptivity. It was found that the molar absorption coefficient and sensitivity of Sandel were ε 2.45 × 104 L mol?1cm?1 and 2.6 ngcm?2 at λmax 578.4 nm. A linear calibration plot in the range 0.12–5.0 μg mL?1 was obtained; a stoichiometric metal ligand ratio [M:L] of 1:2 was found for the formation of Cu-[TAN]2. The complex was formed at pH 9.5 and was stable up to 24 h. The proposed technique has been employed to study copper from different alloys, biological, environmental and pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to find the biological propensities of the vegetable plant Pleurospermum candollei by investigating its phytochemical profile and biological activities. Phytochemical analysis was done by spectroscopic methods to investigate the amount of total polyphenols, and biological evaluation was done by the different antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory (tyrosinase, α-amylase, and α-glucosidase), thrombolytic, and antibacterial activities. The highest amount of total phenolic and flavonoid contents was observed in methanolic extract (240.69 ± 2.94 mg GAE/g and 167.59 ± 3.47 mg QE/g); the fractions showed comparatively less quantity (57.02 ± 1.31 to 144.02 ± 2.11 mg GAE/g, and 48.21 ± 0.75 to 96.58 ± 2.30 mg QE/g). The effect of these bioactive contents was also related to biological activities. GCMS analysis led to the identification of bioactive compounds with different biological effects from methanolic extract (antioxidant; 55.07%, antimicrobial; 56.41%), while the identified compounds from the n-hexane fraction with antioxidant properties constituted 67.86%, and those with antimicrobial effects constituted 82.95%; however, the synergetic effect of polyphenols may also have contributed to the highest value of biological activities of methanolic extract. Molecular docking was also performed to understand the relationship of identified secondary metabolites with enzyme-inhibitory activities. The thrombolytic activity was also significant (40.18 ± 1.80 to 57.15 ± 1.10 % clot lysis) in comparison with streptokinase (78.5 ± 1.53 to 82.34 ± 1.25% clot lysis). Methanolic extract also showed good activity against Gram-positive strains of bacteria, and the highest activity was observed against Bacillus subtilis. The findings of this study will improve our knowledge of phytochemistry, and biological activities of P. candollei, which seems to be a ray of hope to design formulations of natural products for the improvement of health and prevention of chronic diseases; however, further research may address the development of novel drugs for use in pharmaceuticals.  相似文献
