We report on craters formed by individual 3 MeV/u Au (q(ini)+) ions of selected incident charge states q_(ini) penetrating thin layers of poly(methyl methacrylate). Holes and raised regions are formed around the region of the impact, with sizes that depend strongly and differently on q_(ini). Variation of q_(ini) of the film thickness and of the angle of incidence allows us to extract information about the depth of origin contributing to different crater features.  相似文献

Silicone surfactants are widely used in commerce because of the unusual surface activity when compared with fluorocarbon or hydrocarbon surfactants. However, most silicone surfactants are comprised of ill-defined mixtures, which preclude the development of an understanding of structure-surface activity relationships. Herein, we report a synthetic strategy that permits exquisite control over silicone structure by using the B(C(6)F(5))(3)-catalyzed condensation of hydro- and alkoxysilanes. Six different, precise hydrophobes were then mated to hydrophilic poly(oxyethylene)s of three different molecular weights by a metal-free click cyclization to generate a library of explicit silicone surfactants. These compounds were calculated to have a relatively linear value range of the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance, ranging from about 8 to about 15. The solubility of some of the compounds was too low to measure a critical micelle concentration (CMC). The others exhibited a broad range of surface tension values at the CMC that depend both on the length of the hydrophilic tail and, more importantly, the nature of the hydrophobic head group. Subtle distinctions in surfactant-related properties, which can be attributed to the three-dimensional structures, can be seen for compounds with comparable numbers of hydrocarbons and silicon groups.  相似文献

We address the exact resolution of a Mixed Integer Non Linear Programming model where resources can be activated in order to satisfy a demand (a covering constraint) while minimizing total cost. For each resource, there is a fixed activation cost and a variable cost, expressed by means of latency functions. We prove that this problem is ${\mathcal {N} \mathcal {P}}$ -hard even for linear latency functions. A branch and bound algorithm is devised, having two important features. First, a dual bound (equal to that obtained by continuous relaxation) can be computed very efficiently at each node of the enumeration tree. Second, to break symmetries resulting in improved efficiency, the branching scheme is n-ary (instead of binary). These features lead to a successful comparison against two popular commercial and open-source solvers, CPLEX and Bonmin.  相似文献

Thiol-functionalised silicone-oils were crosslinked with silver nanoparticles to give mechanically consistent elastomers with high self-healing power. The materials were broken into small pieces and put together in intimate contact for 24 hours at room temperature, observing a complete macroscopic healing and a quantitative recovery of compression-stress and strain.  相似文献

A series of room temperature liquid siloxane-triarylamine hybrids were synthesized using the Piers-Rubinsztajn reaction. These materials displayed well behaved electrochemical oxidation and low T(g)'s and were free-flowing liquids. The interaction between the Lewis acidic tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane catalyst and the Lewis basic starting triarylamine substrate was also investigated by steady state UV-vis spectroscopy and (19)F NMR.  相似文献

The influence of the Zn(2+) concentration and temperature on the electrochemical reduction of O(2) in a solution of zinc bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (Zn(TFSI)(2)) salt in 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide (PYR(14)TFSI) ionic liquid is presented. ZnO nanocrystalline films were then electrodeposited, under enhanced O(2) reduction, at temperatures in the 75-150 °C range. Their morphology, chemical composition, structural and optical properties were analyzed. In contrast to the polar-oriented ZnO usually obtained from aqueous and conventional solvent based electrolytes, nanocrystalline films oriented along non-polar directions, (11 ?10) and (11 ?20), were obtained from this ionic liquid electrolyte. A significant content of carbon was detected in the films, pointing to the active participation and crucial effect of pyrrolidinium cation (and/or byproducts) during the electrodeposition. The films showed semiconducting behavior with an optical gap between 3.43 and 3.53 eV as measured by optical transmittance. Their room temperature photoluminescence spectra exhibited two different bands centered at ~3.4 and ~2.2 eV. The intensity ratio between both bands was found to depend on the deposition temperature. This work demonstrates the great potential of ionic liquids based electrolytes for the electrodeposition of ZnO nanocrystalline thin films with innovative microstructural and optoelectronic properties.  相似文献
