Copper(II) was selectively accumulated on a hanging mercury-drop electrode by using 2-mercaptobenzimidazole. Ensuing measurements were carried out by differential pulse adsorption stripping voltammetry. Factors affecting the accumulation, reduction, and stripping steps were investigated and a procedure was developed. The optimum conditions for the analysis of copper were pH 5.0, 5.33 x 10(-5) M 2-mercaptobenzimidazole and an accumulation potential of -0.10 V (vs. Av/AgCl). A linear range was obtained in the concentration range 0.2-100 ng/ml with a 90 s accumulation time and a scan rate of 16 mV/s. For ten successive determinations of 1.0, 20.0 and 70.0 ng/ml copper(II), relative standard deviations of 4.2, 3.5 and 2.8%, respectively, were obtained. The developed method was applied to the determination of copper in commercial salts and aluminium alloys.  相似文献

We develop the general framework of sensitivity analysis for equilibrium problems in the setting of vector topological normed space. Our approach does not make any recourse to geometrical properties and the obtained result can be viewed as an extension and generalization of the well-known results (on variational inequalities) in the literature. Even though we have worked under arbitrary constraints Kλ with Hölder-property—that have been decisive in our treatment—we have obtained, in a similar spirit of Domokos [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 230 (1999) 382-389], the best lower bound for the continuity modulus despite of the properties of the boundary of Kλ.  相似文献

The generation of efficient Gray codes and combinatorial algorithms that list all the members of a combinatorial object has received a lot of attention in the last few years. Knuth gave a code for the set of all partitions of [n] = {1,2,...,n}. Ruskey presented a modified version of Knuth’s algorithm with distance 2. Ehrlich introduced a looplees algorithm for the set of the partitions of [n]; Ruskey and Savage generalized Ehrlich’s results and introduced two Gray codes for the set of partitions of [n]. In this paper, we give another combinatorial Gray code for the set of the partitions of [n] which differs from the aforementioned Gray codes. Also, we construct a different loopless algorithm for generating the set of all partitions of [n] which gives a constant time between successive partitions in the construction process.   相似文献

Combinatorial aspects of normal ordering for annihilation and creation operators of a multi-mode boson system are discussed. The modes are assumed to be coupled, since otherwise the problem of normal ordering is reduced to the cooresponding problem of the single-mode case. To describe the normal ordering in the multi-mode case, for each mode, a color is introduced, and colored contractions are considered. A depiction for colored contractions via colored linear representations is given. By analogy with the single-mode case, associated colored Stirling numbers are defined as coefficients appearing in the process of normal ordering for powers of the number operators. For this, we use the dynamical systems approach, specifically, the geometric singular perturbation theory and centre manifold theory. Natural antioxidants, especially those of plant origins, have shown a plethora of biological activities with substantial economic value, as they can be extracted from agro-wastes and/or under exploited plant species. The perennial hydrophyte, Potamogeton perfoliatus, has been used traditionally to treat several health disorders; however, little is known about its biological and its medicinal effects. Here, we used an integrated in vitro and in vivo framework to examine the potential effect of P. perfoliatus on oxidative stress, nociception, inflammatory models, and brewer’s yeast-induced pyrexia in mice. Our results suggested a consistent in vitro inhibition of three enzymes, namely 5-lipoxygenase, cyclooxygenases 1 and 2 (COX-1 and COX-2), as well as a potent antioxidant effect. These results were confirmed in vivo where the studied extract attenuated carrageenan-induced paw edema, carrageenan-induced leukocyte migration into the peritoneal cavity by 25, 44 and 64% at 200, 400 and 600 mg/kg, p.o., respectively. Moreover, the extract decreased acetic acid-induced vascular permeability by 45% at 600 mg/kg, p.o., and chemical hyperalgesia in mice by 86% by 400 mg/kg, p.o., in acetic acid-induced writhing assay. The extract (400 mg/kg) showed a longer response latency at the 3 h time point (2.5 fold of the control) similar to the nalbuphine, the standard opioid analgesic. Additionally, pronounced antipyretic effects were observed at 600 mg/kg, comparable to paracetamol. Using LC-MS/MS, we identified 15 secondary metabolites that most likely contributed to the obtained biological activities. Altogether, our findings indicate that P. perfoliatus has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, analgesic and antipyretic effects, thus supporting its traditional use and promoting its valorization as a potential candidate in treating oxidative stress-associated diseases.  相似文献

Laser fluence and laser shot number are important parameters for pulse laser based micromachining of silicon in liquids. This paper presents laser-induced ablation of silicon in liquids of the dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and the water at different applied laser fluence levels and laser shot numbers. The experimental results are conducted using 15 ns pulsed laser irradiation at 532 nm. The silicon surface morphology of the irradiated spots has an appearance as one can see in porous formation. The surface morphology exhibits a large number of cavities which indicates as bubble nucleation sites. The observed surface morphology shows that the explosive melt expulsion could be a dominant process for the laser ablation of silicon in liquids using nanosecond pulsed laser irradiation at 532 nm. Silicon surface’s ablated diameter growth was measured at different applied laser fluences and shot numbers in both liquid interfaces. A theoretical analysis suggested investigating silicon surface etching in liquid by intense multiple nanosecond laser pulses. It has been assumed that the nanosecond pulsed laser-induced silicon surface modification is due to the process of explosive melt expulsion under the action of the confined plasma-induced pressure or shock wave trapped between the silicon target and the overlying liquid. This analysis allows us to determine the effective lateral interaction zone of ablated solid target related to nanosecond pulsed laser illumination. The theoretical analysis is found in excellent agreement with the experimental measurements of silicon ablated diameter growth in the DMSO and the water interfaces. Multiple-shot laser ablation threshold of silicon is determined. Pulsed energy accumulation model is used to obtain the single-shot ablation threshold of silicon. The smaller ablation threshold value is found in the DMSO, and the incubation effect is also found to be absent.  相似文献

Several recent studies of hydroxyl-functionalized ionic liquids (ILs) have shown that cation-cation interactions can be dominating these materials at the molecular level when the anion involved is weakly interacting. The hydrogen bonds between the like ions led to the formation of interesting chain-like, ring-like, or distinct dimeric (i. e. two ion pairs) supermolecular clusters. In the present work, vibrational spectroscopy (ATR-IR and Raman) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations of the hydroxyl-functionalized imidazolium ionic liquid C2OHmimCl indicate that anion-cation hydrogen bonding interactions are dominating, leading to the formation of distinct dimeric ion pair clusters. In this arrangement, the Cl anions function as a bridge between the cations by establishing bifurcated hydrogen bonds with the OH group of one cation and the C(2)-H of another cation. Cation–cation interactions, on the other hand, do not play a significant role in the observed clusters.  相似文献

Chemical composition, antioxidant, anticancer, and antimacrobial activities of essential oil obtained from leaves of Rumex nervosus has been evaluated here for the first time. GC/MS analysis reveals the presence of Palmitoleic Acid (28.35%) and Palmitic acid, (25. 37%) as their methyl ester as major components. The essential oil showed significant DPPH radical scavenging activity (94.907 ± 0.1089% and 94.003 ± 0.0749%) at concentration (100 and 80) μg/mL respectively. The oil showed promising activity against staph aureus, while showed weak activity against (Hela and 3T3) cell lines. The crude extract / fractions of R. nervosus (leaves) showed significant antioxidant activity at dose (100 and 80) μg/mL. Futhermore the crude showed significant activity against (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231) cell lines with IC50 (20.5138 ± 0.933 and 25.1728 ± 0.9176) μg/mL respectively, and chloroform fraction showed good activity against (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231) cell lines with IC50 (31.154 ± 0.965 and 42.269 ± 2.1045) μg/mL.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a dissipative-dispersive nonlinear equation appliable to many physical phenomena. Using the geometric singular perturbation method based on the theory of dynamical systems, we investigate the existence of its traveling wave solutions with the dissipative terms having sufficiently small coefficients. The results show that the traveling waves exist on a two-dimensional slow manifold in a three-dimensional system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Then, we use the Melnikov method to establish the existence of a homoclinic orbit in this manifold corresponding to a solitary wave solution of the equation. Furthermore, we present some numerical computations to show the approximations of such wave orbits.  相似文献
