We studied the cleave of bis(p‐nitrophenyl) phosphate (BNPP) over a pH range of 7.0–12.0 in the presence of cationic micelles of cetyldiethylethanolammonium bromide, cetyldimethylethanolammonium bromide, cetylpyridinium bromide, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, and cetylpyridinium chloride by using different α‐nucleophiles, viz acetohydroxamate, benzohydroxamate, salicylhydroxamate, butane‐2,3‐dione monooximate, and α‐benzoin oximate ions. With the use of α‐nucleophiles in cationic micellar media, the hydrolytic cleavage of BNPP was found to be approximately 105‐fold faster than its spontaneous hydrolysis. All reactions followed pseudo‐first‐order kinetics. The effect of various concentrations of cationic micelles for the reaction of BNPP and α‐nucleophiles has been studied. The variation of kobs values of the reactions depends on the micellar structure, that is, head groups, hydrophobic tail length, and counter ion. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

A diffusive epidemic model is investigated with a view to describe the transmission of influenza as an epidemic. The equations are solved numerically using the splitting method under different initial distribution of population density. It is shown that the initial population distribution and diffusion play an important role for spread of disease. It is also shown that interventions (medical and nonmedical) significantly slow down the spread of disease. Stability of equilibria of the numerical solutions are also established. 相似文献

Treatment of cyclic tert-trihalomethylcarbinols with CrCl(2) in THF/HMPA in the presence of aryl or aliphatic aldehydes initiates a cascade sequence of one carbon ring expansion-olefination affording conjugated exocyclic ketones. MicroRNAs are small non-coding RNAs which play significant role in RNA interference. The present work deals with mining of the conserved miRNA and their target genes from the contigs, ESTs, and BAC end sequences of commercially important catfish, Clarias batrachus, from India. A total of 138, 1 and 1 conserved pre-miRNA sequences, were mined from the contigs, ESTs, and BAC end sequences, respectively. The analysis of families of the conserved pre-miRNA revealed conservation of the fish-specific family mir-430 and other important families, such as mir-455, let-7, mir-133, and mir-137. The mir-455 is involved in hypoxia signaling, let-7 family represents potential anti-tumor molecules involved in human cancer therapy, whereas mir-133 and mir-137 have high therapeutic potentials. Using an alternate computational in silico approach, mining of mature miRNAs resulted in identification of 210 mature miRNAs from contigs, 1 from EST, and 2 each from forward as well as reverse BAC end sequences. Target prediction of these putative miRNAs resulted in the identification of 66,758 and 18,747 target genes in C. batrachus and Danio rerio, respectively. Functional annotation of these miRNAs indicated their involvement in diverse biological functions. The findings of the present study can serve as a valuable resource for further functional genomics studies in C. batrachus. 相似文献

We describe here a facile and benign synthetic strategy to integrate the fluorescent behavior of conjugated polymers and superparamagnetic properties of iron oxide nanocrystals into silica nanocapsules, forming a new type of bifunctional magnetic fluorescent silica nanocapsule (BMFSN). The resultant BMFSNs are uniform, colloidally stable in aqueous medium, and exhibit the desired dual functionality of fluorescence and superparamagnetism in a single entity. Four conjugated polymers with different emissions were used to demonstrate the versatility of employing this class of fluorescent materials for the preparation of BMFSNs. The applicability of BMFSNs in cellular imaging was studied by incubating them with human liver cancer cells, the result of which demonstrated that the cells could be visualized by dual-mode fluorescence and magnetic resonance imaging. Furthermore, the superparamagnetic behavior of the BMFSNs was exploited for in vitro magnetic-guided delivery of the nanocapsules into the cancer cells, thereby highlighting their potential for targeting biomedical applications. 相似文献

A new regioselective approach to the synthesis of α-aryl enones is reported. This represents an important application of the Kuwajima-Urabe protocol toward the synthesis of this simple albeit complex functional array. Several α-aryl enones were synthesized by the palladium catalyzed arylation of triethylsilylenol ethers of enones with high regioselectivity and broad scope, utilizing sterically encumbered electron-rich phosphine ligands to drive the reaction. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study the formation of spatial patterns in a predator–prey system with Tetranychus urticae as prey and Phytoseiulus persimilis as predator. Logistic Lotka–Volterra predator–prey equations are solved numerically with two different response functions, two initial conditions and one data set. The spatial patterns are generated by introducing diffusion-driven instability in the predator–prey system. Among all parameters involved in predator–prey equations, only the predator interference parameter is varied to generate diffusion-driven instability leading to spatial patterns of population density. Spatial patterns are further generated with the inclusion of prey-taxis in the predator–prey system. Routh–Hurwitz’s conditions for stability are used to create instability with prey-taxis in the system. It is shown that it is possible to generate spatial patterns with zero flux boundary conditions even in a smaller domain with a suitable value of the predator interference parameter or prey-taxis. 相似文献

We show that some local properties (such as nuclearity, exactness, and local reflexivity) of ternary rings of operators (TROs) are closely related to the local properties of their linking C*-algebras. The EPR studies have been carried out on gamma irradiated samples of Pd(ClO4)2 in 9 M/4M HClO4 in the presence and absence of isopropanol [i-PrOH (5%, v/v)], in the temperature range of 77-300 K. The EPR studies revealed the formation of Pd+ complex, Pd3+ complex and several radicals such as H., OH., ClO3., ClO4. and O3- on radiolysis of these systems. Reduction of Pd2+ to Pd clusters could not be observed in the absence of i-PrOH and warming of the irradiated sample finally resulted in recovery of Pd2+ complex. However, in the presence of 5% i-PrOH, strongly oxidizing radicals like OH., ClO3. and ClO4. are suppressed and (CH3)2C.OH radical was produced along with reducing species like H.. EPR spectra in these strongly reducing conditions showed formation of Pd+ complex, which on heating above 230 K, disproportionated into Pd0 and Pd2+ complex and finally lead to formation of Pd metal aggregates. Simultaneously, pulse radiolysis technique has been employed as an alternative method to verify the EPR observations. 相似文献
