2,4-Dinitrophynylhydrazine and two thiocyanate ions in a (M:L1:L2) 1:2:2 molar ratio was synthesized in the complexes of Co(II) and Ni(II). The prepared compounds were identified through a C.H.N.S. analysis, conductivity measurements, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), the infrared spectrum, and a UV-visible spectrum analysis, in addition to the magnetic properties being measured. The measurements of the molar conductance implieda nonelectrolytic nature of compounds Co(II) and Ni(II). The magnetic susceptibility, as well as electronic spectra, represented all the metal complexesthroughoctahedral geometry, respectively. The PXRD patterns suggested that all the complexes were an orthorhombic system with unit cell parameters. The in-vitro biological activity of the ligand and the metal complexes were screened against the Gram-positive and negative pathogenic bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas, aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, as well as the fungal species of Aspergillusniger and Candida albicans.Thus, the metal complexes showeda high efficiency of antimicrobial activity compared with the ligand. Furthermore, applications of the ligand, as well as the metal complexes, were tested for in-vitro antioxidant potential in aDPPH assay. The results showed that the activity of the metal complexes with the in-vitro antioxidant was more active than that of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine(DNPH).  相似文献

A simple methodology has been developed for the solid phase extraction of lead based on the adsorption of its diphenylthiocarbazone complex on an Amberlite XAD-1180 column. The effect of various parameters such as eluting agents, stability of the column, sample volume, interfering ions, etc. were studied in detail. The adsorbed complex could be eluted using acetone and the concentration of lead was determined using visible spectrophotometry at a wavelength maximum of 486nm. A detection limit of 3.5microgL(-1) could be achieved and the validity of the proposed method was checked in spiked tap water, well water and industrial wastewater samples. The relative standard deviation of the method was found to be 3.0%. The highest preconcentration factor attainable for quantitative recovery (>95%) of lead was 25 for a 250mL sample volume.  相似文献

The conducting polymer polypyrrole thin film was galvanostatically polymerized on stainless steel substrate for the supercapacitor electrode. The electrochemical stability of the electrode was monitored each 30 days of aging up to 90 days. The FTIR analysis showed an increase in intensity of the absorption peaks, especially high growth of the carbonyl peaks after 90 days of aging. The electrochemical capacitance degradation of the electrode was studied using cyclic voltammetric and galvanostatic charge/discharge analysis in 1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte, which showed ~?53% of fading in the initial specific capacitance value after 90 days. Further, the electrochemical degradation of polypyrrole electrodes was analyzed in detail using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The analysis showed a large increase in the internal resistance and low-power deliverability of the electrode with respect to aging as the main reasons for the degradation of specific capacitance of the polypyrrole electrode.  相似文献

The sustainability of agroecosystems are maintained with agro-chemicals. However, after more than 80 years of intensive use, many pests and pathogens have developed resistance to the currently used chemistries. Thus, we explored the isolation and bioactivity of a chemical compound, Precocene I, isolated from the perennial grass, Desmosstachya bipinnata (L.) Stapf. Fractions produced from chloroform extractions showed suppressive activity on larvae of Spodoptera litura (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), the Oriental armyworm. Column chromatography analyses identified Precocene I confirmed using FTIR, HPLC and NMR techniques. The bioactivity of the plant-extracted Dp-Precocene I was compared to a commercially produced Precocene I standard. The percentage of mortality observed in insects fed on plant tissue treated with 60 ppm Db-Precocene I was 97, 87 and 81, respectively, for the second, third and fourth instar larvae. The LC50 value of third instars was 23.2 ppm. The percentages of survival, pupation, fecundity and egg hatch were altered at sub-lethal concentrations of Db-Precocene I (2, 4, 6 and 8 ppm, sprays on castor leaves). The observed effects were negatively correlated with concentration, with a decrease in effects as concentrations increased. Distinct changes in feeding activity and damage to gut tissues were observed upon histological examination of S. litura larvae after the ingestion of Db-Precocene I treatments. Comparative analyses of mortality on a non-target organism, the earthworm, Eisenia fetida, at equal concentrations of Precocene I and two chemical pesticides (cypermethrin and monocrotophos) produced mortality only with the chemical pesticide treatments. These results of Db-Precocene I as a highly active bioactive compound support further research to develop production from the grass D. bipinnata as an affordable resource for Precocene-I-based insecticides.  相似文献

Effect of tip vortex aperiodicity on measurement uncertainty   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Vortex aperiodicity introduces random uncertainty in the measured vortex center location. Unless corrected, this may lead to systematic uncertainty in the vortex properties derived from the measured velocity field. For example, the vortex core size derived from averaged or mean flow field appears larger because of aperiodicity. Several methodologies for aperiodicity correction have been developed over the past two decades to alleviate this systematic uncertainty. However, these do not always reduce the accompanying random uncertainty. The current work shows that the analysis methods used to derive the vortex properties from the measured velocity field play an important role in the resultant random uncertainty in these properties; perhaps, even more important role than the aperiodicity correction methodology itself. It is hypothesized that a class of methods called global methods, which use a large extent of measured data, yield a smaller measurement uncertainty compared to local methods. This hypothesis is verified using a newly proposed global method based on a planar least-squares fit. The general applicability of the method is demonstrated using previous particle image velocimetry measurements of rotor tip vortices. The results clearly demonstrate a reduced random uncertainty in the vortex core properties, even in the presence of secondary vortical structures. Furthermore, the results are independent of the choice of aperiodicity correction methodology.  相似文献

A poly (vinyl alcohol) PVA/Eriochrome Black-T (EBT) dye, and PVA/Eosin-Y (EY) dye composite film was prepared using a solution casting process. The dye-doped composite polymer films were characterized by UV–vis spectroscopy. An optical band gap (Eg) of pure PVA reduced from 4.22?eV to 2.80?eV for PVA/EBT film and 2.14?eV for PVA/EY film respectively. This result indicates the occurrence of inter-molecular hydrogen bonding between the –OH functional group in PVA chains and sulfonate (EBT) and carboxyl group (EY) in dye molecules, respectively. Moreover, the experimental result of PVA/EBT and PVA/EY composite film showed the excellent properties of a large scale cut-off filter in the ultraviolet and visible range region.  相似文献

We determine the asymptotic forms of work distributions at arbitrary times T, in a class of driven stochastic systems using a theory developed by Nickelsen and Engel (EN theory) [D. Nickelsen and A. Engel, Eur. Phys. J. B 82, 207 (2011)], which is based on the contraction principle of large deviation theory. In this paper, we extend the theory, previously applied in the context of deterministically driven systems, to a model in which the driving is stochastic. The models we study are described by overdamped Langevin equations and the work distributions in path integral form, are characterised by having quadratic augmented actions. We first illustrate EN theory, for a deterministically driven system – the breathing parabola model, and show that within its framework, the Crooks fluctuation theorem manifests itself as a reflection symmetry property of a certain characteristic polynomial, which also determines the exact moment-generating-function at arbitrary times. We then extend our analysis to a stochastically driven system, studied in references [S. Sabhapandit, EPL 89, 60003 (2010); A. Pal, S. Sabhapandit, Phys. Rev. E 87, 022138 (2013); G. Verley, C. Van den Broeck, M. Esposito, New J. Phys. 16, 095001 (2014)], for both equilibrium and non-equilibrium steady state initial distributions. In both cases we obtain new analytic solutions for the asymptotic forms of (dissipated) work distributions at arbitrary T. For dissipated work in the steady state, we compare the large T asymptotic behaviour of our solution to the functional form obtained in reference [New J. Phys. 16, 095001 (2014)]. In all cases, special emphasis is placed on the computation of the pre-exponential factor and the results show excellent agreement with numerical simulations. Our solutions are exact in the low noise (β →?) limit.  相似文献

A simple, efficient, and straightforward one-pot three-component synthesis of functionalized tetrahydropyrans ( 6a-l ) is carried-out in the presence of an inexpensive and environmentally benign Eaton's reagent as a catalyst to discover some ACE inhibitors and anti-inflammatory agents. Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is highly involved in the renin-angiotensin system and often directly associated with cardiovascular dysfunction via inflammation. Thus, the cardiovascular protective effect of newly synthesized tetrahydropyrans ( 6a-l ) was evaluated through ACE inhibition, human red blood cell (HRBC) membrane stabilization, and molecular docking studies. As the results complied, compounds 6e and 6f were identified as effective ACE inhibitors. Docking studies, HRBC based anti-inflammatory assay, and SAR studies revealed that compounds 6e and 6f could be good anti-inflammatory agents apart from ACE inhibitors.  相似文献

Carbon-based symmetric supercapacitors (SCs) are known for their high power density and long cyclability, making them an ideal candidate for power sources in new-generation electronic devices. To boost their electrochemical performances, deriving activated carbon doped with heteroatoms such as N, O, and S are highly desirable for increasing the specific capacitance. In this regard, activated carbon (AC) self-doped with heteroatoms is directly derived from bio-waste (lima-bean shell) using different KOH activation processes. The heteroatom-enriched AC synthesized using a pretreated carbon-to-KOH ratio of 1:2 (ONS@AC-2) shows excellent surface morphology with a large surface area of 1508 m2 g−1. As an SC electrode material, the presence of heteroatoms (N and S) reduces the interfacial charge-transfer resistance and increases the ion-accessible surface area, which inherently provides additional pseudocapacitance. The ONS@AC-2 electrode attains a maximum specific capacitance (Csp) of 342 F g−1 at a specific current of 1 Ag−1 in 1 m NaClO4 electrolyte at the wide potential window of 1.8 V. Moreover, as symmetric SCs the ONS@AC-2 electrode delivers a maximum specific capacitance (Csc) of 191 F g−1 with a maximum specific energy of 21.48 Wh kg−1 and high specific power of 14 000 W kg−1 and excellent retention of its initial capacitance (98 %) even after 10000 charge/discharge cycles. In addition, a flexible supercapacitor fabricated utilizing ONS@AC-2 electrodes and a LiCl/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-based polymer electrolyte shows a maximum Csc of 119 F g−1 with considerable specific energy and power.  相似文献

Spodoptera litura Fab. is a polyphagous pest causing damage to many agriculture crops leading to yield loss. Recurrent usage of synthetic pesticides to control this pest has resulted in resistance development. Plant-derived diterpenoid compound andrographolide was isolated from the leaves of Andrographis paniculata. It was analysed by gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy and quantified by HPLC. Nutritional indices and digestive enzymatic profile were evaluated. Third, fourth and fifth instar larvae were treated with different concentrations of andrographolide. At 3, 6 and 9 ppm-treated concentrations the larvae showed decreased RGR, RCR, ECI, ECD values with adverse increase in AD. The digestive enzymes were significantly inhibited when compared with control. Conspicuously, andrographolide showed pronounced mortality of S. litura by inhibition of enzyme secretion and intake of food. The binding ability of andrographolide with CYTP450 showed high affinity with low binding energy. Andrographolide has the potential to be exploited as a biocontrol agent against S. litura as an eco-friendly pesticide.  相似文献
