Magnetization in Fex Si1?x amorphous alloys was measured at high magnetic field up to 150 k0e. The experimental data show the existence of critical conditions for the occurence of magnetic order whose first stage is the appearance of giant moments in the 0.35 < × < 0.50 composition range. A novel approach to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) in gaseous samples, based on a precise and accurate quantification by 13CO2 internal standard generated in situ is presented. The main goal of this study was to provide an innovative headspace-gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (HS-GC–MS) method applicable in the routine determination of CO2. The main drawback of the GC methods discussed in the literature for CO2 measurement is the lack of a specific internal standard necessary to perform quantification. CO2 measurement is still quantified by external calibration without taking into account analytical problems which can often occur considering gaseous samples. To avoid the manipulation of a stable isotope-labeled gas, we have chosen to generate in situ an internal labeled standard gas (13CO2) on the basis of the stoichiometric formation of CO2 by the reaction of hydrochloric acid (HCl) with sodium hydrogen carbonate (NaH13CO3). This method allows a precise measurement of CO2 concentration and was validated on various human postmortem gas samples in order to study its efficiency. 相似文献

Interpolyelectrolyte complexes or polyplexes can be seen as interesting alternatives in the purpose of active ingredients encapsulation. Working on polymethylmethacrylate derivatives with special focus on controlled oral drug delivery, the influence of charged polyelectrolytes (polyacrylic acid, polyethylenimine, and amino‐dextran) and noncharged ones (polyvinyl alcohol, dextran 40, and Pluronic F68) has been investigated on the precipitation of two pH‐sensitive Eudragit polymers, namely, L100 and E100. Moreover, the possibility of preparing polyplexes involving the two polymethylmethacrylate derivatives with different charged and noncharged secondary polyelectrolytes has been studied. The obtained dispersions have been characterized in terms of mean particle size, size distribution, zeta potential, and morphology. Direct precipitation of Eudragit L100 by medium acidification in a batch process and in the presence of polyethylenimine allowed the production of particles with a narrow size distribution. The mean size was around 200 nm. In this case, the zeta potential was found to be +45 mV at pH = 7 in 1mM aqueous NaCl solution, and the produced suspension was stable in time since no aggregation and sedimentation have been observed. A precipitation pH of 8.16 allows us to suggest the preparation of a polyplex based on Eudragit L100 and polyethylenimine. In contrary, polyvinyl alcohol has shown ability to induce an increase in particle mean size whereas other polyelectrolytes showed no significant effect. Moreover, it was observed that polyethylenimine and polyacrylic acid solutions were able to directly induce Eudragit E100 precipitation whereas amino‐dextran and noncharged polyelectrolytes showed no effect on its precipitation and on particle size distribution. 相似文献

Read-across applies the principle of similarity to identify the most similar substances to represent a given target substance in data-poor situations. However, differences between the target and the source substances exist. The present study aims to screen and assess the effect of the key components in a molecule which may escape the evaluation for read-across based only on the most similar substance(s) using a new open-access software: Virtual Extensive Read-Across (VERA). VERA provides a means to assess similarity between chemicals using structural alerts specific to the property, pre-defined molecular groups and structural similarity. The software finds the most similar compounds with a certain feature, e.g., structural alerts and molecular groups, and provides clusters of similar substances while comparing these similar substances within different clusters. Carcinogenicity is a complex endpoint with several mechanisms, requiring resource intensive experimental bioassays and a large number of animals; as such, the use of read-across as part of new approach methodologies would support carcinogenicity assessment. To test the VERA software, carcinogenicity was selected as the endpoint of interest for a range of botanicals. VERA correctly labelled 70% of the botanicals, indicating the most similar substances and the main features associated with carcinogenicity. 相似文献

The pyroelectric response of a type II TGS detector at 1188 μm is related to its FIR absorption in two perpendicular characteristic directions. We have found good agreement between the pyroelectric and classical spectrospic methods for the absorption ratio in these two directions. A so-called ‘pyro-spectroscopic’ method could be derived from our observation, for FIR absorption measurement of pyroelectric crystals. 相似文献
