A hybrid real space quantum mechanical/molecular mechanical (RS-QM/MM) method has been applied to an ionic S(N)2 reaction (OH- + CH3Cl --> CH3OH + Cl-) in water solution to investigate dynamic solvation effects of the supercritical water (SCW) on the reaction. It has been demonstrated that the approaching process of OH- to methyl group is prevented by water molecules in the ambient water (AW), while the reaction takes place easily in the gas phase. Almost the same solvation effect on the dynamics of OH- is observed in the SCW, though the bulk density of water is substantially reduced compared with that of the AW. It has been shown that the solvation of the SCW around the OH anion is locally identical to that of the AW due to the strong ion-dipole interactions between OH- and water molecules. At the transition state, the QM/MM simulations have revealed that the excess electron is quite flexible, and the charge volume, as well as the fractional charges on atoms, vary seriously depending on the instantaneous solvent configurations. However, it has been found that the solvation energy in the SCW can be qualitatively related to the HOMO volume of the system by Born's equation.  相似文献

The effect of a 2,2-ethylene-ketal functionality on the singlet-triplet energy gap (Delta E(ST)) and on the first electronic transition in singlet cyclopentane-1,3-diyls (1) has been investigated. UDFT calculations predict a significant increase in the preference for a singlet ground state in the diradical with the cyclic ketal at C2 (1g; Delta E(ST) = -6.6 kcal/mol in C(2) symmetry and -7.6 kcal/mol in C(2v) symmetry), compared to the 2,2-dihydroxy- and 2,2-dimethoxy-disubstituted diradicals (1d, Delta E(ST) = -3.6 kcal/mol in C(2) symmetry, and 1e, Delta E(ST) = -3.4 kcal/mol in C(2) symmetry). Spiroconjugation is shown to be responsible for the larger calculated value of absolute value Delta E(ST) in 1g, relative to 1d and 1e. A strong correlation between the calculated values of Delta E(ST) and the computed electronic excitation energies of the singlet diradicals is found for diradicals 1d, 1e, and 1g and for 2,2-difluorocyclopentane-1,3-diyl (1c). A similar correlation between Delta E(ST) and lambda(calcd) is predicted for the corresponding 1,3-diphenylcyclopentane-1,3-diyls 3, and the predicted blue shift in the spectrum of 3g, relative to 3e, has been confirmed by experimental comparisons of the electronic absorption spectra of the annelated derivatives 2c, 2e, and 2g in a glass at 77 K. The wavelength of the first absorption band in the singlet diradicals decreases in the order 2e (lambda(onset) = 650 nm) > 2g (lambda(onset) = 590 nm) > 2c (lambda(onset) = 580 nm). The combination of these computational and experimental results provides a sound basis for reassignment of the first electronic absorption band in singlet diradicals 2c, 2e, and 2g to the excitation of an electron from the HOMO to the LUMO of these 2,2-disubstituted derivatives of cyclopentane-1,3-diyl.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline thin films of TiO2 cast on an optically transparent indium tin oxide glass were sensitized with ruthenium homo- and heterobinuclear complexes, [LL'Ru(BL)RuLL']n+ (n = 2, 3), where L and L' are 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine (dcb) and/or 2,2'-bipyridine (bpy) and BL is a rigid and linear heteroaromatic entity (tetrapyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c:3",2"-h:2'",3'"-j]phenazine (tpphz) or 1,4-bis([1,10]phenanthroline[5,6-d]imidazol-2-yl)benzene (bfimbz)). The photophysical behavior of the RuII-RuII diads in solution indicated the occurrence of intercomponent energy transfer from the upper-lying Ru --> bpy charge-transfer (CT) excited state of the Ru(bpy)(2) moiety to the lower-lying Ru --> dcb CT excited state of the Ru(bpy)(dcb) (or Ru(dcb)(2)) subunit in the heterobinuclear complexes. These sensitizer diads adsorbed on nanostructured TiO2 surfaces in a perpendicular or parallel attachment mode. Adsorption was through the dcb ligands on one or both chromophoric subunits. The behavior of the adsorbed species was studied by nanosecond time-resolved transient absorption and emission spectroscopy, as well as by photocurrent measurements. In the TiO2-adsorbed samples where BL was bfimbz, the electron injection kinetics was very fast and could not be resolved because an electron is promoted from the metal center to the dcb ligand directly linked to the semiconductor. In the TiO2-adsorbed samples where BL was tpphz, for which, in the excited state, a BL localization of the lowest-lying metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) is observed, slower injection rates (9.5 x 10(7) s(-1) in [(bpy)(2)Ru(tpphz)Ru(bpy)(dcb(-))](3+)/TiO2 and 5.5 x 10(7) s(-1) in [(bpy)(dcb)Ru(tpphz)Ru(bpy)(dcb(-))](3+)/TiO2) were obtained. Among the systems, the heterotriad assembly [(bpy)(2)Ru(bfimbz)Ru(bpy)(dcb(2-))](2+)/TiO2 gave the best photovoltaic performance. In the first case, this was attributed to a fast electron injection initiated from a dcb-localized MLCT; in the second case, this is attributed to improved molecular orientation on the surface, which was due to rigidity and, at the same time, linearity of the heterotriad system, resulting in a slower charge recombination between the injected electron and the hole.  相似文献

Soluble polymers and copolymers have been prepared from monosubstituted trichlorosilanes via thermal reductive coupling with sodium in toluene. Phenyltrichlorosilane has been copolymerized with methylphenyl dichlorosilane, with n-hexyltrichlorosilane, with tetrachlorosilane and with tetrakis(chlorodimethylsilyl)silane. n-Hexyltrichlorosilane has been copolymerized with methylphenyldichlorosilane, with phenyltrichlorosilane and with silicon tetrachloride. Soluble polymers and copolymers with molecular weight in the range ≈ 2,000 to ≈ 106 have been obtained. The absorption and emission spectra of the resulting polymers are strongly affected by the presence of trisilyl- and tetrasilylsubstituted silicon atoms. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Photo-physical properties of bromo-indolylmaleimide (IM-Br), indole-succinimide (IS), and their anions were theoretically investigated compared with the previous theoretical result for indolylmaleimide (IM) [Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2010, 12, 9783]. The energies for the electronic excited states as well as the ground states were computed for these molecules using the multi-reference perturbation calculations based on the second order Rayleigh-Schr?dinger perturbation theory (CASPT2) at the cc-pVDZ basis set level. The electron-accepting or electron-donating effect caused by bromine-substitution was discussed in the intra-molecular charge transfer (ICT) mechanism. The order of natural orbitals of the bromine-substituted monovalent anion with a deprotonated indole NH group (I((-))M-Br) was found to be rearranged by the effect of electron-donation, which leads to pseudo-crossing of the potential energy cures of the S(1) and S(2) states. The large stokes shift observed for I((-))M-Br was due to pseudo-crossing. Meanwhile, IM and IM-Br show abnormal deprotonation, which is explained by the charge distribution on the indole and maleimide moieties. Finally, the monovalent anions I((-))M-Br and I((-))M by a deprotonation of the indole NH end and the neutral IS were proposed to be the most feasible candidates corresponding to the experimental spectra in solution.  相似文献

A highly efficient alkylation to ketones and aldimines with Grignard reagents in the presence of catalytic trialkylzinc(II) ate complexes derived from ZnCl2 (10 mol %) in situ was developed. This simple Zn(II)-catalyzed alkylation could minimize the well-known but serious problems with the use of only Grignard reagents, which leads to reduction and aldol side products, and the yield of desired alkylation products could be improved.  相似文献

To gain a better understanding of the effects of guest molecules on the lattice and stability of type H hydrates, we performed powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) measurements and semiempirical molecular orbital calculations. The unit cell parameters and cohesive energies of various type H hydrates that contain methane (CH4) were analyzed. PXRD measurements indicated that an increase in the large-molecule guest volume caused the unit cell volume to increase. It was also indicated that a large-molecule guest substance caused the a-axis-direction of the unit cell to increase with little decrease in the c-axis direction. Calculations of cohesive energy by means of a semiempirical molecular orbital method indicated that the functional group and configuration of large-molecule guest substances affects the stability of type H hydrates. It was concluded that the icosahedron (5(12)6(8)) cages do not easily increase in length along the c-axis direction when larger guest molecules are used to form the hydrate, but the 5(12)6(8) cage and the layer of dodecahedron (5(12)) cages can easily increase in length along the a-axis direction due to interactions of the guest-host molecule.  相似文献

In the present study, the electrophoretic behavior of linear, supercoiled and nicked circular plasmid DNA in the presence of various intercalating dyes was characterized using pGL3 plasmid DNA as a model. The enzymatic digestion of pGL3 plasmid DNA with HindIIIwas monitored by capillary electrophoresis coupled with laser-induced fluorescence detection (CE-LIF). Nicked circular plasmid DNA was found to be relatively sensitive to enzymes, and was almost digested into the linear conformer after 10-min incubation, indicating that nicked circular plasmid DNA has little chance of targeting and entering the cell nucleus. Partly digested plasmid DNA containing only linear and supercoiled conformers can be used as a standard to confirm the migration order of plasmid DNA. In methylcellulose (MC) solution with YO-PRO-1 or YOYO-1, linear plasmid DNA eluted first, followed by supercoiled and nicked plasmid DNA, and nicked plasmid DNA eluted as a broad peak. With SYBR Green 1, nicked plasmid DNA eluted first as three sharp peaks, followed by linear and supercoiled plasmid DNA. The nuclear plasmid DNA from two transfected cell lines was successfully analyzed using the present procedure. Similar results were obtained with an analysis time of seconds using microchip electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection (mu-CE-LIF). To our knowledge, these results represent the first reported analysis of nuclear plasmid DNA from transfection cells by CE-LIF or mu-CE-LIF without pre-preparation, suggesting that the present procedure is a promising alternative method for evaluating transfection efficiency of DNA delivery systems.  相似文献
