We report results of the studies relating to the fabrication and characterization of a conducting polymer based molecularly imprinted para-nitrophenol (PNP) sensor. A water pollutant, para-nitrophenol is electrochemically imprinted with polyvinyl sulphonic acid (PVSA) doped polyaniline onto indium tin oxide (ITO) glass substrate. This PNP imprinted electrode (PNPI-PANI-PVSA/ITO) prepared via chronopotentiometric polymerization and over-oxidation is characterized by Fourier transform infra-red spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV–visible (UV–vis) spectroscopy, contact angle (CA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) studies. The response studies of PNPI-PANI-PVSA/ITO electrode carried out using DPV reveal a lower detection limit of 1 × 10−3 mM, improved sensitivity as 1.5 × 10−3 A mM−1 and stability of 45 days. The PNPI-PANI-PVSA/ITO electrode shows good precision with relative standard deviation of 2.1% and good reproducibility with standard deviation of 3.78%.  相似文献

Horse radish peroxidase (HRP) has been electrochemically entrapped into perchlorate (ClO) doped polyaniline (PANI) film deposited onto indium‐tin‐oxide (ITO) coated glass plate. This HRP‐PANI‐ClO/ITO bioelectrode characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV‐Visible spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) techniques has been utilized for estimation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). This H2O2 sensor exhibits response time of 5 s, linearity from 3 to 136 mM, sensitivity as 0.5638 µA mM?1 cm?2 with linear regression of 0.985. The value of the Michaelis–Menten constant (Km) has been obtained as 1.984 mM. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Abstract

Selective interpolymer complexation has been studied between methacrylic acid-methacrylamide copolymer and some complementary polymers such as poly(methacrylamide), poly(vinyl pyrrolidone), and poly(ethylene oxide). The relative order of complexation ability of the various nonionic polymers has been interpreted on the basis of the nature of interactions between different units of polymers. Configurational environment and neighboring group influences seem to affect interpolymer complex formation.  相似文献

A number of ionic chelate complexes of maltol(A) and hafnium(IV) the type[(η5−C5H5)2HfL]+[MCl3] (B) [HL=maltol; M=Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), Cu(II)]have been synthesized and characterized by spectral studies (IR, UV, 1H NMR and 13C NMR). The stoichiometry of the complexes has been confirmed by conductance measurements. Thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analytical (DTA) studies have been carried out for these complexes and from TG curves, the order, apparent activation energy and apparent activation entropy of the thermal decomposition reactions have been elucidated .The order in each case has been determined to be one and the degree of spontaneity and lability have been inferred from the apparent activation energy and entropy, respectively. Thermal parameters have been correlated with some structural aspects of the complexes concerned. From differential thermal analysis curves, the heat of reaction has been calculated. Feedback fluid queues play an important role in modeling congestion control mechanisms for packet networks. In this paper we present and analyze a fluid queue with a feedback-based traffic rate adaptation scheme which uses two thresholds. The higher threshold B 1 is used to signal the beginning of congestion while the lower threshold B 2 signals the end of congestion. These two parameters together allow to make the trade-off between maximizing throughput performance and minimizing delay. The difference between the two thresholds helps to control the amount of feedback signals sent to the traffic source. In our model the input source can behave like either of two Markov fluid processes. The first applies as long as the upper threshold B 1 has not been hit from below. As soon as that happens, the traffic source adapts and switches to the second process, until B 2 (smaller than B 1) is hit from above. We analyze the model by setting up the Kolmogorov forward equations, then solving the corresponding balance equations using a spectral expansion, and finally identifying sufficient constraints to solve for the unknowns in the solution. In particular, our analysis yields expressions for the stationary distribution of the buffer occupancy, the buffer delay distribution, and the throughput.  相似文献

The electron paramagnetic resonance of Gd3+ in single crystal of Pr2(SO4)3.8H2O is studied at room temperature. Two magnetic complexes exhibiting orthorhombic or lower symmetry are found and the results have been fitted to a suitable spin Hamiltonian. The exact solution of Hamiltonian matrix is carried out and 10 “best fit” parameters are obtained using iterative optimization technique. The zero field splittings of Gd3+: Pr2(SO4)3.8H2O have been computed. Few forbidden transitions are observed and explained using numerical solution of the Hamiltonian matrix.  相似文献

The response to drying and storage at -20 degrees C or in liquid nitrogen was studied in seeds of the freshwater aquatic plant Najas flexilis. The seeds of this species show some desiccation sensitivity, although post-harvest storage in water at 16 degrees C resulted in improvements in desiccation tolerance. There was 63% germination of seeds dried to 9.5% moisture content (30% RH) following this maturation period. Optimum moisture contents for seeds stored at -20 degrees C for 3 months and in liquid nitrogen for 1 week were ~11% and ~15%, respectively.  相似文献

A Zr-based metal-organic framework has been synthesized and employed as a catalyst for photochemical carbon dioxide reduction coupled with water oxidation. The catalyst shows significant carbon dioxide reduction property with concomitant water oxidation. The catalyst has broad visible light as well as UV light absorption property, which is further confirmed from electronic absorption spectroscopy. Formic acid was the only reduced product from carbon dioxide with a turn-over frequency (TOF) of 0.69 h−1 in addition to oxygen, which was produced with a TOF of 0.54 h−1. No external photosensitizer is used and the ligand itself acts as the light harvester. The efficient and selective photochemical carbon dioxide reduction to formic acid with concomitant water oxidation using Zr-based MOF as catalyst is thus demonstrated here.  相似文献
