A unique preparation method of obtaining stable composite film (with ultra-low platinum content) highly active towards oxygen reduction and hydrogen oxidation is presented here. The matrix for platinum centers consists of high-surface-area zeolite-type acidic salt of cesium phosphododecatungstate (Cs2.5H0.5PW12O40) admixed with carbon (Vulcan XC-72) carriers. Platinum nanoparticles were deposited on the working electrode modified with matrix via corrosion of platinum counter electrode during cyclic voltammetry experiment conducted in acid electrolyte containing chloride ions. The results obtained from rotating disk voltammetry revealed that the composite film containing Pt nanoparticles at very low loadings (on the level of 2–5 μg cm?2) demonstrated remarkable electrocatalytic activity towards both oxygen reduction and hydrogen oxidation, particularly, when compared to the performance of the Cs2.5H0.5PW12O40-free system (i.e., containing only Vulcan support) prepared and examined under analogous conditions. The phenomenon should be primarily ascribed to the mesoporous nature of the matrix enabling immobilization and stabilization of small catalytic nanoparticles (1–2 nm diameters) inside the pores as well as to high surface acidity of the polyoxometalate-based salt providing proton-rich environment at the electrocatalytic interface.  相似文献

Attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) with the use of a slide-on germanium accessory followed by chemometric analysis allowed for providing meaningful information about the biochemical composition of a single endothelial cell. In this work, the methodology of the ATR-FTIR measurements of dried cells and dried cells immersed in water solution is presented. The contact of the cell and Ge crystal was set up manually and monitored through the integration of the amide I band. Additionally, the cell imaging in transreflection mode was tested, but the spectral differences between sub-cellular structures were not prominent in the registered spectra. It has been shown that the ATR-FTIR method gives better results due to the increased spatial resolution and S/R ratio as well as small contribution of the optical artifacts.  相似文献

The low level nuclear waste (LLW) resulting from the use of radioactive isotopes in medicine, industry, laboratories, and other purposes can be immobilized by vitrification, using methods applied in the nuclear power industry. Borosilicate glass is providing the very suitable medium for the majority of the species present in these wastes. Management of LLW waste begins with combustion reducing their amount. The paper presents the results of model studies of vitrification of hospital waste by incorporating it into the composition of boro-aluminosilicate glass, similar to those used in nuclear power industry. The proposed borosilicate waste glass composition was: SiO2-56.0, B2O3-15.0, Na2O-21.0, and Al2O3-8.0 (mass %). The ashes were mixed in different amount with the glass frit and then remelted to obtain homogenous melt which was vitrified. The influence of the main ash components on the thermal properties of the vitrified waste was studied using DSC and heating microscopy methods. The glass transformation, crystallization and melting temperatures, and Hruby glass stability against crystallization parameter were determined. The correlations between ΔC p , T g, and K H were observed and discussed.  相似文献

Five adrenolytic drugs have been analyzed by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS). Samples were prepared by solid-phase microextraction (SPME) using polypyrrole fibers coated on stainless steel support as an adsorbent for the drugs. Adsorption efficiencies were 95% and were close for all the drugs investigated. Relative standard deviations (RSD), calculated for samples prepared in standard solutions, were in the range 2.5–13%, however RSD values for the drugs in human plasma were 2.5–4.5%. Using LC–MS the limit of detection (LOD) and the limit of quantification (LOQ) were in the ranges 0.11–0.18 and 0.39–0.54 ng mL−1, respectively, for the five drugs.  相似文献

A procedure for the extraction of Cr(VI) from solid soil-like samples was presented in which the complexing properties of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) were exploited to extract insoluble compounds of Cr(VI). A concentration of DTPA in an ammonium sulphate/ammonium hydroxide buffer equal to 0.02 mol l−1 was chosen. The conditions of extraction of insoluble Cr(VI) from solid samples were optimised using soil certified reference material spiked with known concentration of insoluble Cr(VI) added as PbCrO4. The extracts were analysed by adsorptive stripping voltammetry. Validation of the proposed procedure of extraction was carried out by analysis of certified reference material (CRM) 545 and comparison of the results obtained using the proposed and other methods of extraction in the course of analysis of natural soil samples.  相似文献

The value of different vegetable oils can be correlated with the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially omega‐3‐fatty acids such as linolenic acid, because of their contribution to healthy nutrition. One expression for the degree of unsaturation is the iodine value normally measured with gas chromatography. The use of Raman spectroscopy allows a rapid calculation of the iodine value and, in addition, only in a minimal sample volume. Therefore, this method can be used in single rapeseeds in order to predict the iodine value before harvesting. Additionally, the method can also be used for breeding investigations. The main objective of the presented research was to synthesise biodegradable aliphatic polycarbonates containing reactive carboxyl pendant groups and to examine the influence of the copolymer chain microstructure and composition on the process of their hydrolytic degradation and cytocompatibility. The work describes copolymerization of cyclic trimethylene carbonate derivative containing benzyl‐ester pendant group (benzyl 5‐methyl‐2‐oxo‐1,3‐dioxane‐5‐carboxylate) with trimethylene carbonate. The copolymerization was conducted with the use of zinc (II) and lanthanum (III) acetylacetonates as ring‐opening polymerization coordination initiators. Detailed NMR analysis allowed to define the microstructure of the obtained copolymers, which depended on the composition and type of used initiator. The final tapered chain microstructure of the obtained copolymers was related to huge differences in comonomers reactivity and evidenced low level of transesterification of the main copolymer backbone. Chosen copolymers, with unprotected carbonyl groups, were subjected to in vitro degradation test and cytocompatibility studies. It was found that high concentration of carboxyl groups resulted in copolymers which formed hydrogels and were very prone to hydrolytic degradation; they were also cytotoxic toward osteoblast‐like MG 63 cells. Copolymers with lower content of carboxyl groups were found less susceptible to degradation and cytocompatible with studied cells. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym. The problem of determining the elastoplastic properties of a prismatic bar from the given experimental relation between the torsional moment M and the angle of twist per unit length of the rod’s length θ is investigated as an inverse problem. The proposed method to solve the inverse problem is based on the solution of some sequences of the direct problem by applying the Levenberg-Marquardt iteration method. In the direct problem, these properties are known, and the torsional moment is calculated as a function of the angle of twist from the solution of a non-linear boundary value problem. This non-linear problem results from the Saint-Venant displacement assumption, the Ramberg–Osgood constitutive equation, and the deformation theory of plasticity for the stress–strain relation. To solve the direct problem in each iteration step, the Kansa method is used for the circular cross section of the rod, or the method of fundamental solutions (MFS) and the method of particular solutions (MPS) are used for the prismatic cross section of the rod. The non-linear torsion problem in the plastic region is solved using the Picard iteration.  相似文献
