This paper describes the lidar inversion of the tropospheric aerosol extinction profiles under the influence of multiple-scattering effects for various elevation angles of lidar detection. A single-scattering lidar equation is employed to analyze lidar signals with multiple-scattering contributions that are calculated by the Monte Carlo method for given atmospheric conditions. We calculate errors in the optical thickness from the results with and without multiple-scattering effects. It is found that the errors vary in a range of 2#x2013;18#x0025; according to the optical thickness variation of 0.19#x2013;3.8. The dependence of the error on the field-of-view angle of the lidar observation is also discussed. 相似文献
The technology nowadays employed in the field of binary optics allows a relatively easy fabrication of grating structures down to the wavelength region. The analysis of light propagation through such grating structures requires the use of rigorous diffraction theories such as the rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA), in order to take proper account of polarization effects in the electric and magnetic field and the thickness of the grating. In this paper, we examine the near-field intensity distributions and associated illumination efficiencies of Talbot array illuminators (TAIL#x0027;s) with compression ratios of 8 and 16 using RCWA. ABC triblock copolymers are known to exhibit a wide variety of unique types of morphologies compared to AB diblock copolymers. In the present study, poly(styrene-block-(ethylene-alt-propylene)-block-(methyl methacrylate)) (SEPM) triblock copolymers were synthesized and their morphologies were extensively studied by transmission electron microtomography (TEMT). In the SEPM triblock copolymer, two kinds of morphologies coexist: One was the well-known knitting morphology, and the other was a novel morphology called the “ladder morphology”. The ladder morphology was a major morphology in the SEPM copolymer, the stability of which was discussed in terms of the interfacial area and the solubility parameters between the three components. 相似文献
Summary: Aliphatic dithiol‐diacid type polythioesters were first enzymatically prepared by the direct polycondensation of hexane‐1,6‐dithiol and diacid diesters using the immobilized lipase from Candida antarctica (lipase CA). As a typical example, diethyl sebacate and hexane‐1,6‐dithiol were polymerized using lipase CA in bulk in the presence of molecular sieves 4A to produce the corresponding polythioester with an of 10 200 in 90% yield. Both the melting and crystallization temperatures of the produced polythioesters were higher when compared to those of the corresponding polyoxyesters. A higher molecular weight polythioester was produced using lipase in a two‐step procedure, i.e., cyclization with subsequent ring‐opening polymerization.

Structural changes occurring in the high temperature region of doubly-oriented nylon 10/10 sample have been investigated through the temperature-dependent simultaneous measurements of wide-angle and small-angle X-ray scatterings, and the results were compared with the infrared spectral data as well as the molecular dynamics simulation results. In the Brill transition region of 150–180 °C the methylene segments are conformationally disordered with keeping the intermolecular hydrogen bonds. During this phase transition the stacked lamellar structure did not change very much: the lamellae are tilted by ca. 34° from the draw axis and the long period is almost 160 Å. In the temperature region immediately below the melting point the molecular chains were found to be contracted by ca. 10% the original repeating period and the intermolecular hydrogen bonds were almost broken, causing the violent rotational and translational motions of the chains around the chain axis. At the same time the long period increased remarkably from 160 Å to 410 Å and the originally tilted lamellae stood up in parallel to the draw axis. 相似文献
Genetic characterization and enhancement of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) accumulation in cyanobacteria were investigated for
efficient PHB production from CO2. The genome DNAs in the PHB-accumulating strains Synechococcus sp. MA19 and Spirulina platensis NIES46 retained the highly homologous region to phaC of Synechocystis PCC6803, whereas low homology was detected in the nonaccumulating strains Synechococcus sp. PCC7942 and Anabaenacylindrica NIES19. Synechococcus sp. MA19, which accumulates PHB up to 30% of dry cell weight from CO2 as the sole carbon source, was mutated by insertion of transposon Tn5 to enhance the PHB accumulation. Genetic and physiological

In order to study the S11(1535) resonance in the nuclear medium, total cross sections of the (γ, η) reactions on C, Al and Cu have been measured for photon energies between 680 and 1000 MeV. A broad resonance due to the excitation and decay of the S11 resonance in the nucleus has been clearly observed for the first time. The apparent energy and width of the resonance are 900 and 300 MeV, respectively. Model calculations based on the quantum molecular dynamics have been performed. A comparison of the calculations with the data indicates that the S11 resonance in nuclei should have a larger width; the width of about 250 MeV is required while the elementary one is about 150 MeV. 相似文献
Electrochemical reactions are shown to be effective for the C H functionalization of a number of heterocyclic substrates that are recalcitrant to conventional peroxide radical initiation conditions.
