The size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) of acetone-soluble, pyridine-soluble and pyridine-insoluble fractions of a coal tar pitch indicates a bimodal distribution in each fraction. The proportion of high-mass material excluded from the SEC column porosity increases with solvent polarity. The polymer calibration of SEC shows the mass range of the small molecules to be from approximately 100 u to approximately 6000 u, with the mass range of the large excluded molecules above 200 000 u and up to several million u. In contrast, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) shows a similar low-mass range of ion abundances (< m/z 6000), but with a smaller range of high-mass ion abundances, from approximately m/z 10 000 to 100 000. The large molecules may have three-dimensional structures to allow molecules of relatively low mass to behave as if they are of large size in SEC. Laser desorption mass spectrometry of the acetone- and pyridine-soluble fractions produced molecular ions of polycyclic aromatics that can be related to the known compositions from gas chromatography (GC) mass spectrometry. The experimental conditions used to generate the bimodal distribution by MALDI-MS involve reducing the ion signal intensities to avoid overload of the detector and enable detection of the high-mass ions, by reducing the high-mass detector voltage (i.e. sensitivity) and increasing the laser power.  相似文献

A practical and straightforward protocol has been developed for the preparation of 2-thioxo-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one derivatives from dithiocarbamate chemistry. The method involves the reaction of anthranilic acid derivatives (2-aminobenzoic acid, 2-aminobenzamide and isatoic anhydride) with various dithiocarbamate derivatives using ethanol as solvent. The main advantages of this protocol include practical simplicity, good to high yields, and ease of product isolation, purification and cheapness of the solvent.  相似文献

Preparation of 2-(indol-3-yl)-3-nitriloquinolines via Friedländer quinoline synthesis using 3-cyanoacetylindoles possessing an α-methylene group and ortho-amino arylketones have been described. This reaction took place in PEG-400 as a green solvent and it is catalyzed with polyphosphoric acid (PPA) to give novel types of quinolines containing both indoles and cyano functions in one step under thermal and microwave conditions.  相似文献

Sr3Al2O6 nanocomposite was prepared by sol gel method using aluminum isopropoxide, strontium nitrate, acetylacetone and polyethylene glycol as template, followed by calcination at 900 °C. This nanocomposite was characterized by various techniques including X-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, scanning transmission microscope and transmission electron microscope. It was found that Sr3Al2O6 nanocomposite successfully catalyzes the Knöevenagel condensation of aromatic aldehydes with malononitrile in room temperature in ethanol. Expedient access to the corresponding Knöevenagel adducts in moderate to high yields within 6 min is promising. The recovered catalyst was reused for three times without significant loss of activity.  相似文献

Polycarbonate (PC)-ZnO films with different percentages of ZnO were prepared by a solution stirring technique and subjected to ultraviolet (UV; λ = 254 nm) irradiation. Structural parameters of the samples and the effects of UV irradiation on the surface properties of the PC and PC-ZnO nanocomposites were evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), water contact angle (WCA) measurements, and a Vickers microhardness (HV) tester. The XRD patterns of the nanocomposite films were found to show an increase in crystallinity with the increasing ZnO nanoparticles percentage. The WCA was found to be reduced from 90° to 17° after 15 h of UV irradiation, which could be ascribed to the oxidation of the surface of the samples during the irradiation and exposure of the ZnO nanoparticles, a result that is also supported by the obtained XPS data. The microhardness value of the PC-ZnO films including 30 wt.% ZnO enhanced considerably after UV radiation, which can also be attributed to the exposition of the ZnO nanoparticles after photodegradation of the PC superficial layer of the nanocomposite films.  相似文献
