The interaction of the tri-n-propyltin(IV) (TPT) with some selected bioligands having a variety of model functional groups were investigated using potentiometric technique at 25 degrees C and 0.1 M ionic strength in 50% v/v dioxane/water mixture. TPT is hydrolyzed to give [(C3H7)3SnOH], [(C3H7)3Sn(OH)2]-, and [((C3H7)3Sn)2OH]+. Amino acids and DNA constituents form 1:1 and 1:2 complexes. Peptides form 1:1 complexes and the corresponding deprotonated amide species. The protonated complexes are formed with amino acids, peptides and some DNA constituents. The hydrolysis constants and the stepwise formation constants of the complexes formed in solution were calculated using the nonlinear least-square program MINIQUAD-75. The participation of different ligand functional groups in binding to organotin is discussed. The speciation diagrams of the various complex species were evaluated as a function of pH.  相似文献

From aerial parts of Swertia longifolia Boiss., which grows in the north of Iran, five xanthones, two of which in diglycosidic form, were isolated. The structures were confirmed by means of their spectral data as isobellidifolin, bellidin, gentisein, 1,5-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-O-primeverosyl xanthone, and 8-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxy-1-O-primeverosyl xanthone, the latter two of which were new derivatives in the plant kingdom.  相似文献

The interface of planar TiO(2)/polymer photovoltaic cells was modified with two carboxylated polythiophenes having different densities of carboxylic acid groups. Both of the interface modifiers increase the photocurrent of the cells but lower the open-circuit voltage. The work function of the TiO(2), measured using a Kelvin probe, increases with increasing density of carboxylic acid groups due to the formation of interfacial dipoles pointing toward the TiO(2) surface. The formation of interfacial dipoles results in a shift in the band offset at the TiO(2)/polymer interface, which explains the decrease in the open-circuit voltage. This work demonstrates that care must be taken when using carboxylic acid side groups to attach polymers to titania surfaces in photovoltaic cells. If the density of attachment groups is just enough to attach the polymer, then the benefits of the interface modifier can be realized without substantially decreasing the open-circuit voltage.  相似文献

A systematic computational study was carried out to characterize the 17O, 14N, and 2H nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) parameters in the anhydrous and monohydrated cytosine crystalline structures. To include the hydrogen-bonding effects in the calculations, the most probable interacting molecules with the central molecule in the crystalline phase were considered in the pentameric clusters of both structures. To calculate the parameters, couples of the methods B3LYP and B3PW91 and the basis sets 6-311++G** and CC-pVTZ were employed. The mentioned methods calculated reliable values of 17O, 14N, and 2H NQR tensors in the pentameric clusters, which are in good agreements with the experiment. The different influences of various hydrogen-bonding interactions types, N-H...N, N-H...O, and O-H...O, were observed on the 17O, 14N, and 2H NQR tensors. Lower values of quadrupole coupling constants and higher values of asymmetry parameters in the crystalline monohydrated cytosine indicate the presence of stronger hydrogen-bonding interactions in the monohydrated form rather than that of crystalline anhydrous cytosine.  相似文献

A new and fast method for measuring the diffusion coefficients of binary gas mixtures using ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) has been developed. In this method, the sample is injected as a short pulse into the flowing drift gas, forming a Gaussian concentration profile inside the drift region. This Gaussian cloud is irradiated with a fast moving swarm of electrons to create negative ions. The flash of electrons is so short that the negative ions do not move much during the exposure time. The ions then drift toward the detector, where they are collected. The collected ion signal pattern reflects the spatial distribution of the sample inside the cloud at the time of exposure. This is repeated in intervals of 300-400 ms to monitor the spatial spreading of the molecules in the drift region. Consecutive IMS spectra show the evolution of the cloud over time. The collected spectra are fit to Gaussian functions to extract diffusion coefficients. Using this method, the diffusion coefficient of O(2), CHCl(3), and C(2)H(2)Cl(2) were measured, and the results are in good agreement with the previously reported experimental data.  相似文献

In this paper, a semi-classical formulation for modeling photonic-crystal (PC) structures with a four-layer multi quantum well (MQW) active region is presented. The formulation treats the electromagnetic fields as a classical entity, while employing the quantum-mechanically derived rate equations to analyze the active medium. Using the Poynting theorem, we interrelate the two sets of equations, namely the MQW rate equations and Maxwell's equations. The formulation involves the stimulately emitted photon density in the former and a virtual volume current density representing the generated photons in the latter. With the help of this formulation, we then model a PC optical amplifier as well as a PC hexagonal-defect cavity laser and solve the obtained equations after replacing the involved spatial and temporal derivatives by pseudo-spectral and Runge-Kutta's formulations, respectively. The formulation also takes the effect related to gain saturation and frequency broadening into account.  相似文献

The dynamic rheological properties of segmented polyurethane based on polycaprolactone diol (PU-PCL diol) and poly (ɛ-caprolactone) (PCL) blends were experimentally examined and theoretically analyzed using Palierne model. PU–PCL diol was melt blended with PCL in three different ratios of 20, 30, and 40%. Initial modeling attempts failed to fit the experimental data of these blends, as the model overpredicted their rheological data. This failure is believed to be due to partial dissolution of PCL in PU. According to our obtained results from differential scanning calorimetry and dynamic thermal mechanical analysis, pure PU–PCL diol is diluted by its homopolymer. By calculating the complex modulus of this diluted matrix using a simple mixing rule and its incorporation into the model, good fitting of the Palierne equation to the experimental data was obtained.  相似文献

PTFE-g-polystyrene sulfonic acid membranes prepared by radiation-induced graft copolymerization of styrene onto poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) films followed by sulfonation reactions were investigated with respect to their morphology and surface chemical properties. The chemical composition of the membranes surfaces was monitored at various degrees of grafting using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Considerable differences in the concentration of the chemical components of the surfaces were observed despite the predominance of all membranes surfaces by a hydrocarbon fraction originated from the incorporated sulfonated polystyrene grafts. The distribution of the sulfonated polystyrene grafts in membranes having various degrees of grafting was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The membranes achieved a homogenous distribution at degrees of grafting of 24% and above. The results of this work suggest that the membranes have a chemically sensitive surfaces and this is most likely to have an impact on their interfacial properties and chemical stability.  相似文献
