A simple, rapid, and solvent-free method for quantitative determination of benzene, toluene, and Xylene in exposed Drosophila larvae was developed using headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) coupled to GC/MS. Larvae fed on standard Drosophila food mixed with benzene, toluene, and Xylene for 48 h were homogenized in Milli-Q water. Extraction of benzene, toluene, and Xylene was performed at 65 degrees C for 30 min on the SPME fiber (silica-fused). Subsequently, the fiber was desorbed in the GC injection port, followed by GC/MS analysis in the selected-ion monitoring mode. An external calibration curve was used for the quantification of benzene, toluene, and Xylene in the exposed organism. Recoveries were in the range of 78-82% (intraday) and 76-81% (interday) in larvae, and 91-96% (intraday) and 87-92% (interday) in the diet. LOD with an S/N of 3:1 and LOQ with an S/N of 10:1 were in the range of 0.01-0.023 and 0.034-0.077 microg/L, respectively. Percent RSD values for benzene, toluene, and Xylene were in the range of 0.50-0.81 (intraday) and 0.89-1.23 (interday) for retention time, and 2.16--3.85 (intraday) and 2.99-4.95 (interday) for peak concentration, showing good repeatability. This method was sensitive enough to quantitate benzene, toluene, and Xylene in small exposed organisms like Drosophila larvae. The SPME/GC/MS method developed may have wider applications in various in vivo toxicological studies.  相似文献

The phase behaviour of symmetric (LN4) and asymmetric (LN3) triblock copolymers based on styrene-b-(styrene-co-butadiene)-b-styrene (S-SB-S) and their blends have been studied using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and were correlated with rheological properties. A direct control over the final morphology and segregation strength for the block copolymer blends was achieved by blending of LN3 and LN4. The interaction parameter (χ) for LN4 is extracted by fitting the SAXS patterns at temperatures well above the ODT in consistency with Leibler mean-field structure-function for ABA triblock copolymers. A weak temperature dependency of χ has been observed which revealed that the phase behaviour in LN4 is mainly controlled by the entropic term. In the low frequency regime a non-terminal flow behaviour was observed in LN3 revealing the persistence of ordered structure within the experimental temperature range whereas a terminal flow behaviour with composition fluctuation was observed in LN4. G′ vs. G″ plots indicated a solid-like elastic melt behaviour for LN3 whereas presence of ODT over a broad temperature range was observed for LN4. ODT is observed to increase non-linearly with increase in LN3 content in the blends. ODT behaviour of the blends further reveals that the blends shift from weak-segregation to intermediate-segregation strength with the increase in LN3 content. The improvement in the state of ordering along with the change in morphology with the increase of LN3 content is attributed to co-surfactant effect between the PS end-blocks of LN3 and LN4 inside PS-rich phase.  相似文献

The essential oil of Premna latifolia Roxb. was obtained by hydrodistillation of fresh leaves of the plant having an oil yield of 0.05%, both non-polar and essential oil were analysed by GC and GC-MS. Hexane fraction of the leaves of P. latifolia was transesterified and analysed by GC and GC-MS, 40 non-polar components were identified comprising 89.3%. The most abundant fatty acid constituents were hexadecanoic acid (25.04%), 8,11,14-docosatrienoic acid (13.62%), octadecanoic acid (6.82%), 9,12-octadecadienoic acid (4.19%) and 29 components were investigated in the essential oil which comprises 78.1%. The most abundant oil constituents were 1-octen-3-ol (35.69%), terpendiol II (7.19%), δ-guaiene (7.49%) 2-undecanone (4.80%) and α-pinene (3.27%). Different extracts were also tested against polyphagous crop pest Spodoptera litura for antifeedant activity. Essential oil showed maximum growth reduction of 56.83% followed by chloroform extract of 43.93%.  相似文献

The isomeric title complexes were obtained in almost equimolar ratio from the reaction of Ru(trpy)Cl3 and L. Crystal structure analyses of the perchlorate hemihydrates, electrochemical and spectroscopic (NMR, UV/VIS, EPR) studies, supported by DFT calculations, reveal distinct differences between the isomeric redox series [1]n+(tetrazine-Nt trans to Cl) and [2]n+(pyrazolyl-Np trans to Cl; n= 0, 1, 2). The latter system with the pi acceptors trpy and tetrazine in the equatorial plane and the pyrazolyl and chloride donors in the axial positions exhibits facilitated oxidation, lower energy MLCT transitions, more balanced chelate coordination, and a higher g anisotropy in the oxidised (RuIII) state. According to partially resolved EPR spectra of one-electron reduced neutral compounds and they have the unpaired electron predominantly in the tetrazine ring of L.  相似文献

Calbindin D9k is a member of the S100 subfamily of EF-hand calcium binding proteins, and has served as an important model system for biophysical studies. The fast timescale dynamics of the calcium-free (apo) state is characterized using molecular dynamics simulations. Order parameters for the backbone NH bond vectors are determined from the simulations and compared with experimentally derived values, with a focus on the dynamics of calcium-binding site I. There is a significant discrepancy between simulated and experimental order parameters for site I residues in the case of no ion bound in site I. However, it was found in the simulations that a Na+ ion can bind in site I, and the resulting order parameters determined from the simulations are in excellent agreement with experiment. Comparisons are made to X-ray structures of other S100 family members in which Na+ ions were observed or suggested to be bound in site I. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

The electrical conductivity and electrochemical performance of a La0.6Sr0.4CoO3-δ (LSC) cathode produced by a modified citrate-EDTA sol-gel method assisted with activated carbon are characterized for a proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cell (H+??SOFC) application at intermediate temperature. Thermogravimetric analysis revealed that the decomposition of the unrequired intermediate compounds in the precalcined powder was completed at 800?°C. A single LSC perovskite phase was formed at a calcination temperature of 900?°C, as confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. The particle size, crystallite size, and BET-specific surface area of the powder are 219–221?nm, 18?nm, and 9.87?m2?g?1, respectively. The high index value of the extent of agglomeration (5.53) showed that the powder was barely agglomerated. Bulk LSC sintered at 1200?°C for 2?h showed the highest direct-current electrical conductivity (σd.c) compared to that of bulk LSC sintered at 1000?°C and 1100?°C. The value of σd.c was affected by the density and porosity of the sintered samples. The area specific resistance (ASR) of screen-printed LSC working on a proton conductor of BaCe0.54Zr0.36Y0.1O2.95 (BCZY) decreased from 5.0?Ω?cm2–0.06?Ω?cm2 as the temperature increased from 500?°C to 800?°C with an activation energy of 1.079?eV. Overall, in this work, the LSC material produced with the aid of activated carbon meet the requirements for the application as a cathode in an intermediate temperature H+-SOFC.  相似文献

Summary Reactions of titanium(IV) isopropoxide with ethyl 1-hydroxycyclohexylacetate, ethyl 2-hydroxy-2-arylpropionate, ethyl 2-hydroxy-2-arylbutyrate and ethyl 2-hydroxy-2-arylhydrocinnamate have been studied in dry benzene in different molar ratios under strictly anhydrous conditions. The Ti(OPr-i)4-nLn type compounds, where L = hydroxy ester and n = 1 to 4, have been isolated and characterised by elemental analysis, molecular weight, i.r. and n.m.r. spectral studies. The syntheses and characterizations of poly(oxy-trans-1,4-cyclohexyleneoxycarbonyl-1,4-bicyclo[2.2.2]octylenecarbonyl) (I) and poly(oxy-trans-1,4-cyclohexyleneoxycarbonyl-1,4-bicyclo[2.2.2]octylenecarbonyl-co-oxy-trans-1,4-cyclohexyleneoxysebacoyl) (II) are described. The polymer systems were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy, solution viscosity, and differential scanning calorimetry. The random copolyester prepared from 1:0.65:0.35 mol of trans-1,4-cyclohexanediol, bicyclo[2.2.2]octane-1,4-dicarbonyl chloride, and sebacoyl chloride, respectively, formed a birefringent fluid state in the melt.  相似文献

Polymeric UV absorbers have been prepared by free-radical solution copolymerization at 75°C of methyl methacrylate and 2-hydroxy-4-methacryloyloxybenzophenone monomers at low conversion (around 10%). The composition of the copolymers was determined by UV, IR, and NMR studies. The molecular weight was estimated by GPC. The reactivity ratios were determined by several methods. Viscosity was used to study the effect of copolymer composition and solvents. The copolymers were also analyzed by TGA and DSC, and DSC was used to study the effect of copolymer composition on Tg.  相似文献
