We report a novel digital-deflection programmable micromirror array driven by micromechanical digital-to-analog converters that eliminates the need for electrical digital-to-analog converters for analog displacement control, thus simplifying the driving circuitry and reducing the overall system cost. Furthermore, owing to the bistable and hysteretic characteristics of parallel-plate electrostatic actuators, an array of micromirrors can be controlled by means of row- and column-addressing lines, which drastically reduce the number of routing wires and allow array sizes to increase while they maintain high array quality. 相似文献

We study the physical features of a class of exact solutions for cold compact anisotropic stars. The effect of pressure anisotropy
on the maximum mass and surface red-shift is analysed in the Vaidya-Tikekar model. It is shown that maximum compactness, red-shift

We study collision-free gases in Bianchi space-times. Spatially homogeneous distribution functions are found for all Bianchi types by supposing that the distribution functionf(x, p) is a function of the Killing vector constants of the motion only. Bianchi types I, VIII and IX only, lead to physical distributions. In types VIII and IX the average behaviour of the gas is that of a nonrotating viscous fluid. In an attempt to obtain physical spatially homogeneous distribution functions for all Bianchi types, we write the Liouville equation in a spatially homogeneous orthonormal tetrad. Furthermore, the general inhomogeneous solution of Liouville's equation in Bianchi type I is obtained, depending on constants of the motion that generalise the conserved quantities generated by Lorentz boosts in flat space-time. 相似文献

Combined molecular dynamics and ab initio computations were applied for analysis of infrared absorption and vibrational circular dichroism spectra of deoxyoctanucleotides. Unlike for previous idealized models, molecular geometries of these shorter DNA fragments in solutions were obtained as dynamic averages from simulations in a periodic water box. Vibrational spectra for the whole octamers including hydrogen-bonded solvent molecules were simulated on the basis of density-functional calculations on small fragments and subsequent transfer of molecular property tensors. Explicit and continuum solvent models were compared. Apparently, the DNA segments retain an approximate B-conformation in the aqueous solutions, but the terminal base pairs significantly deviate from the planar arrangement and the vibrational circular dichroism spectrum for (CG)(2) nucleotide indicates a larger average helical twist. Sodium counterions moved freely around the molecule during the simulation and do not influence spectral intensities. Simulated absorption spectra faithfully reproduced the experimental signal of principal functional groups, while only qualitative agreement was obtained for the dependence on the basis sequence. 相似文献

Three 5,17-diacetylcalix[4]arene derivatives 3–5 have been prepared, evaluated for inclusion properties, and their single crystal X-ray structures determined. The diacetyl calixarenes 3 and 4 were obtained by acetylation of their parent dimethoxy 1 or dipropoxy 2 compounds, respectively, whereas 5,17-diacetyl-25,26,27,28-tetrapropoxycalix[4]arene 5 was prepared by alkylation of 4. Crystallisation of 3 resulted in no inclusion from chloroform, but yielded lattice inclusion compounds from acetonitrile or acetone. The calixarene 3 maintains its cone conformation in these crystals, but displays degrees of distortion depending upon the included solvent. Crystal structures of solvent-free 4 and 5 are also described. A new preparation of the monomethoxy derivative 6 is described, and its X-ray structure with chloroform guest is analysed. 相似文献

We find a class of solutions to the Einstein–Maxwell system for a charged sphere with a particular choice of the electric field intensity by assuming a particular form for the hypersurfaces {t = constant}. In the uncharged limit we regain static stars studied previously. A qualitative analysis of the physical features of the model is performed. The presence of charge allows for more general behaviour than is the case for uncharged spheres. In particular we show that the causal signals are permitted over a wider range of parameters in the presence of charge. Also we show that our solutions satisfy a simple scaling relationship. 相似文献

We model a radiating star undergoing dissipative gravitational collapse in the form of radial heat flux. The exterior of the collapsing star is described by the generalised Vaidya solution representing a mixture of null radiation and strings. Our model generalises previously known results of constant string density atmosphere to include inhomogeneities in the exterior spacetime. By utilising a causal heat transport equation of the Maxwell–Cattaneo form we show that relaxational effects are enhanced in the presence of inhomogeneities due to the string density. 相似文献
