Polyphenol compounds were extracted from Myrtus communis L. berries (Myrtaceae) by maceration in 70% ethanol and analysed by HPLC-DAD and electrospray mass spectrometry. The Myrtus berries were collected at maturity from seven localities on the island of Corsica (France) and the sampling was carried out during three years. The polyphenol composition of Corsican Myrtus berries was characterized by two phenolic acids, four flavanols, three flavonols and five flavonol glycosides. The major compounds were myricetin-3-O-arabinoside and myricetin-3-O-galactoside. Principal components analysis (PCA) is applied to study the chemical composition and variability of myrtle berries alcoholic extracts from the seven localities. Canonical analysis and PCA data distinguishes two groups of myrtle berries characterized by different concentrations of polyphenols according to soil and years of harvest. The variations in the polyphenol concentration were due to biotic and abiotic factors. 相似文献

A GC method to determine caprolactam in water, 15% ethanol, and olive oil food simulants was developed and validated. Linear ranges varied from 0.96 to 642.82 microg/mL for water, 0.64 to 800.32 microg/mL for 15% ethanol, and 1.06 to 1062.34 microg/g for olive oil, with correlation coefficients higher than 0.999. Method precision studies showed RSD values lower than 5.45%, while method accuracy studies showed recovery from 72 to 111% for all simulants. The effect of gamma irradiation on caprolactam migration from multilayer polyamide 6 (PA-6) films intended for cheese into water, 15% ethanol, olive oil, and 3% acetic acid simulants was also studied. For migration assay, non-irradiated and irradiated (12 kGy) films were placed in contact with the simulant and exposed at 40 degrees C for 10 days. The validated method was used to quantify caprolactam migration from multilayer PA-6 films into the simulants, which ranged from 1.03 to 7.59 mg/kg for non-irradiated films, and from 4.82 to 11.32 mg/kg for irradiated films. Irradiation caused almost no changes in caprolactam levels, with the exception of olive oil, which showed an increase in the caprolactam level. The design and synthesis of a new porous organic polymer (POP) incorporated with cobalt carbonyl complexes through built‐in bipyridinic coordination sites for hydrogen storage are described. A thermal activation process was developed to remove the ligated carbonyl and carbon dioxide in order to expose the cobalt atomically inside of porous structure. Various spectroscopic and physical characterization techniques were used to study the coordinated Co sites and the POP's surface property. Upon thermal activation, this new cobalt‐containing POP showed improved hydrogen uptake capacity and isosteric heat of adsorption. 相似文献

The stabilization of olive recombinant hydroperoxide lyases (rHPLs) was investigated using selected chemical additives. Two rHPLs were studied: HPL full-length and HPL with its chloroplast transit peptide deleted (matured HPL). Both olive rHPLs are relatively stable at 4 °C, and enzyme activity can be preserved (about 100% of the rHPL activities are maintained) during 5 weeks of storage at ?20 or at ?80 °C in the presence of glycerol (10%, v/v). Among the additives used in this study, glycine (2.5% w/v), NaCl (0.5 M), and Na2SO4 (0.25 M) provided the highest activation of HPL full-length activity, while the best matured HPL activity was obtained with Na2SO4 (0.25 M) and NaCl (1 M). Although the inactivation rate constants (k) showed that these additives inactivate both rHPLs, their use is still relevant as they strongly increase HPL activity. Results of C6-aldehyde production assays also showed that glycine, NaCl, and Na2SO4 are appropriate additives and that NaCl appears to be the best additive, at least for hexanal production. 相似文献

New functionalized terpyridine-diamide ligands were recently developed for the group actinide separation by solvent extraction. In order to acquire a better understanding of their coordination mode in solution, protonation and complexation of lanthanides(III), americium(III), and uranium(VI) with these bitopic N,O-bearing ligands were studied in homogeneous methanol/water conditions by experimental and theoretical approaches. UV-visible spectrophotometry was used to determine the protonation and stability constants of te-tpyda and dedp-tpyda. The conformations of free and protonated forms of te-tpyda were investigated using NMR and theoretical calculations. The introduction of amide functional groups on the terpyridine moiety improved the extracting properties of these new ligands by lowering their basicity and enhancing the stability of the corresponding 1:1 complexes with lanthanides(III). Coordination of these ligands was studied by density functional theory and molecular dynamics calculations, especially to evaluate potential participation of hard oxygen and soft nitrogen atoms in actinide coordination and to correlate with their affinity and selectivity. Two predominant inner-sphere coordination modes were found from the calculations: one mode where the cation is coordinated by the nitrogen atoms of the cavity and by the amide oxygen atoms and the other mode where the cation is only coordinated by the two amide oxygen atoms and by solvent molecules. Further simulations and analysis of UV-visible spectra using both coordination modes indicate that inner-sphere coordination with direct complexation of the three nitrogen and two oxygen atoms to the cation leads to the most likely species in a methanol/water solution. 相似文献

A new set of ionic radii in aqueous solution has been derived for lanthanoid(III) cations starting from a very accurate experimental determination of the ion-water distances obtained from extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) data. At variance with previous results, a very regular trend has been obtained, as expected for this series of elements. A general procedure to compute ionic radii in solution by combining the EXAFS technique and molecular dynamics (MD) structural data has been developed. This method can be applied to other ions allowing one to determine ionic radii in solution with an accuracy comparable to that of the Shannon crystal ionic radii. 相似文献

Coordination of nitrate anions with lanthanoid cations (Ln(3+)) in water, methanol and octanol-1 has been studied by means of molecular dynamics simulations with explicit polarization. Potential of mean force (PMF) profiles have been calculated for a mono-complex of lanthanoid nitrate (Ln(NO(3))(2+)) in these solvents using umbrella-sampling molecular dynamics. In pure water, no difference in the nitrato coordination to lanthanoids (Nd(3+), Eu(3+) and Dy(3+)) is observed, i.e. the nitrate anion prefers the monodentate coordination, which promotes the salt dissociation. Then, the influence of the nature of the solvating molecules on the nitrato coordination to Eu(3+) has been investigated. PMF profiles point out that both monodenate and bidentate coordinations are stable in neat methanol, while in neat octanol, only the bidentate one is. MD simulations of Eu(NO(3))(3) in water-octanol mixtures with different concentrations of water have been then performed and confirm the importance of the water molecules' presence on the nitrate ion's coordination mode. 相似文献
