To better understand the operation of a new fuel cell design, we used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to measure the water content distribution in a polymer electrolyte membrane under fuel cell operation with and without a supply of liquid water. The supply of liquid water to the membrane improved the cell performance by increasing the water content in the membrane and thus reducing the electrical resistance of the membrane. The study also showed that MRI is a promising method to investigate the distribution of water in the membrane of a fuel cell under operating conditions.  相似文献

93Nb(n, n′)93mNb reaction allows retrospective estimation of integrated fast neutron dose in nuclear reactor. We proposed isomer-selective trace analysis of 93mNb by Resonance Ionization Mass Spectrometry (RIMS) combined with a gas-jet atomic source and an injection locked Ti:Sapphire laser system operated at several kHz. Resonant ionization spectroscopy of Nb in gas-jet using Ti:Sapphire laser was demonstrated.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

High pressure hydrous phases with distorted rutile-type structure have attracted much interest as potential water reservoirs in the Earth’s mantle. An in-situ X-ray diffraction study of β-CrOOH was performed at high pressures of up to 6.2?GPa and high-temperatures of up to 700?K in order to clarify the temperature effect on compression behaviors of β-CrOOH. The P-V-T data fitted to a Birch–Murnaghan equation of state yielded the following results: isothermal bulk modulus KT0?=?191(4)?GPa, temperature derivative (?KT/?T)P?=??0.04(2)?GPa?K?1, and volumetric thermal expansion coefficient α?=?3.3(2)?×?10?5?K?1. In this study, at 300?K, the a-axis became less compressible at pressures above 1–2?GPa. We found that the pressure where the slopes of a/b and a/c ratios turned positive increased with temperature. This is the first experimental study indicating the temperature dependence of the change in the axial compressibility in distorted rutile-type M3+OOH.  相似文献

Abstract

It was investigated that, when an Al evaporated layer on a GaP (GaAs, GaAs1?y P y ) substrate was bombarded with total fluences of 0.1?1.0 × 1018 electrons cm?2 at 7 MeV and at 50°C, a thin heteroepitaxial layer of Al x Ga1?x P (Al x Ga1?x As, Al x Ga1?x As1?y P y ) crystal was grown on S-doped (111), (100) and (110) GaP [(110) Cr, O-doped GaAs, (100) Te-doped GaAS1?y P y ] substrates.

Evidence for the creation of the epilayers before annealing was obtained from measurements using an X-ray diffractometer, an X-ray photoelectron spectrometer, a reflection high-energy electron diffractometer, a transmission electron microscope and a scanning transmission electron microscope. In the case of Al/GaP, the epitaxial layers of Al~0.25Ga~0.75P, Al~0.5Ga~0.5P and Al~0.75Ga~0.25P were grown on (111), (100) and (110) GaP substrates, respectively. Their compositions did not vary with the total electron fluence.  相似文献

The 129I Mössbauer effect has been applied to polyacetylene films of cis-(CHI0.23)x as prepared and cis-(CHI0.20)x led under dynamic evacuation. It has been clarified that both films contain linear I?5 and I?3 with symmetric charge population and that the fraction of I?3 increases after evacuation. The mechanism of electrical conductivity in iodine-doped polyacetylene has been discussed on the basis of the chemical form and the dynamic behavior of the anion species.  相似文献

The effect of solid particles on the flow structure of a round air jet in a stagnant surrounding was investigated experimentally. Information on the averaged two-component velocities, the kinetic energies, and the u′ v′-properties were obtained for both phases by means of a monochromatic three beam laser Doppler anemometer. The particle number density was also measured by this system. Glass beads of 64 μm and 132 μm diameter were used for a constant mass loading ratio of 0.3 in a jet with a Reynolds number of 20 000. The lateral mean velocity and number density profiles were expressed by best fitting functions and several invariable coefficients were found. The standard drag force coefficient C D for a single particle was applicable for a dilute particle cloud even in a non-uniform air velocity field.  相似文献
